Extending Authorization to any object / work flow

It’s fairly common to enable approval routings using the Object Connections page, e.g. against a Sales Quotation or NCR.

The presence of approval routings in itself does not have any effect on the behaviour of that object (prevent release or similar).

To achieve those sorts of things, we have to build custom event actions that check the presence and status of the approval routings and if appropriate prevent the release of the business object.
