CRM to Sales Contract to Project Flow

We are a project based company who utilizes sales contracts and projects in IFS heavily. Our projects deliver labor related services. We are now in the process of considering CRM functionality for potential customers and business opportunity management. In CRM, the flow is very smooth from business opportunity to sales quotation to customer orders. However since we are not dealing with sales parts but services, I’m wondering if IFS CRM has considered such business opportunities being converted to sales contracts etc. Is this a functionality that exists or considered for future development?

CRM - IFS version 8.

Hello,Over the weekend we added new fields to the VMO_COMPANY_TAB and updated about 50K records in this table for those fields. We have about 250K records in total. Since Tuesday, we are experiencing some slowness in running searches in CRM when we use the customer number search. The searches for customer name and phone number are running faster. Has anyone experienced this before or has any recommendations on how to speed up the query?

Automatic reservation of handling units

Hi all,Customer’s requirement is to automatically reserve from the handling unit with the highest quantity.As and example, customer has two handling units with quantity 500 and 18 each. When reserving for a order with 100 units, customer wants to reserve the full quantity from the handling unit with the quantity of 500.With the current functionality, it reserves 18 and 82 from both handling units to reserve 100 units.Note: Customer has ticked ‘Largest Quantity on Handling Unit’ in the Site>Inventory>Automatic Reservation but it does not fulfill the customer’s requirement. Is there any setup which we can set to have the above functionality?

Apps9 Report Rule Send Email - Size limations?

We are using Report Rule - Send Email and a Route to Connect Process for our Sales Quotations and have found a limitation. Sales Quote PDF is 10 pages with size 237KB which works fine but as soon as we add additional lines to the quote the emails and route to connect processes no longer work. They are still 10 pages but the size changes to 238KB. The PDFs show in Report Archive and Print Manager but the Report Rules do not process. PDF doesn’t show up in the Route To Connect location nor are the emails sent. I’m not seeing any errors in Application Messages, Background Jobs, Print Manager so not sure where to check next.

Coordinator field on Customer Oders will not auto populate

I created a new “User” and setup the “Person” and created a “Coordinator” and assigned to a group but the coordinator will not auto populate on the customer order screen. We have other users that auto populate their coordinator when creating a customer order but not this new user. We upgraded to APPS10 UPD11 4 months ago, is it different in APPS10?What am I missing?

Cannot Close Stage Billing Order Lines

We are running into an issue with using the staged billing functionality - we cannot invoice and close the lines and it appears that it’s about a penny off. In Apps 10 B2B for Customer, when adding products to the Shopping Cart, there is no way to filter Favorite Products. Below is a IFS slide showing a button that navigates to Favorite Products, a column to see which is favorite and a mark/unmark favorite features. This is my user view. Add Shipment Numbers on Search Dropdown

Hi, I wondered if it was possible for when you search for an order number or PO number in IFS apps 9, it can also have the shipment numbers on the dropdowns? It would be much easier to know which Order # matches with what shipment #, instead of having to go manually into the shipment to find out. Would anybody know if this can be done and how? Intersite Flow: Automatic Part Creation

We are in IFS App10 Upd9.Need to design a solution where in the absence of a Sales part in the Supply site, the incoming customer order triggers a notification and possibly creates the inventory part / sales part. (Master Part is available) automatically upon approval. Is there somebody already using a similar setup? Need not be the same. What would be the best way to implement this? Please share your ideas. unpeg the purchase order from work order

We have created the purchase order from Work order purchase requisition and the work order is in related status and Purchase order in Planned state, i am trying to cancel the purchase order , system is giving error “ there are peggings connected to purchase order lines, Remove the pegging first and then cancel the purchase order. How do i cancel the old purchase orders.

Sales quotation offline

Hi We are using IFS apps. 10We want to use the sales configurator in IFS to create sales quotations, but we need it to work offline. The use cases for offline sales work is, 1) Using the time on a plane traveling to a customer site to make a quotation. 2) It happens that you are with a customer where it is difficult to get an internet connection and even more difficult to get a VBN connection. I have only read about two solutions Maintaining and distributing a so-called version to the user of the IFS/Sales Configurator client tool - This is not possible for IFS apps. 10 Native apps. - This is not developed for the sales configuratorDoes anyone know a solution to working offline with the sales configurator in IFS? Thanks

Hej, I am working with a customer that required, Sum functionality in lot of view in the application. this used to be a basic feature in IEE but is not available here in Cloud. Looking for a Customer Reference for CRM in Aurena

Hello IFS Community,We are an IFS customer using Apps 10. We use CRM on a limited basis and we haven’t done much of anything with Aurena yet. We are evaluating our CRM needs to determine if IFS CRM can do what we need or if we need to look at Salesforce and then integrate with IFS ERP.As part of that evaluation, we would like to talk to an IFS customer who uses IFS CRM in Aurena. The more extensive the use of CRM and the more extensive the use of Aurena the better. Use of the Outlook integration offered by IFS would also be great to see.We would like to understand what that customer’s use cases for CRM are, how Aurena has helped, and the implementation effort required.If you are such a customer or know such a customer, please let me know.ThanksMark
