Hello Everyone, We have an error on a PO receipt that needs to be cancelled. The error states that the received quantity is no longer available in the receipt location. The data shows otherwise. Does anyone have experience with a similar problem.  

We have a couple of work orders with the following issue. For WO  we ordered materials, i.e part nr. 100024743, but that one line was never used.The PO and the PR are closed, logistics Issued with Internal Transfer, but now the MR can not be closed, and thus the WO and the Activity cannot be closed respectively. Usually the Material Order can’t be closed until material on the PO is issued, but we never used the materials.What would be the best way to close the Material Requisition here?   

Hello, I would like to see the received quantity of purchase order lines from the Purchase Order screen, PurchaseOrderLinePart and PurchaseOrderLineNopart. For example, each Part Order Line may be partially received, and I would like to see a reference to the quantity received for lines at any given time from this screen. Is this possible? Thank you!Adam

We have quite a few Purchase Orders that will have multiple receipts.We assign purchase order charges in the form of freight and fuel surcharges.Our issue is the PO may come in over several receipts.  The fuel surcharges may change by the time the final receipts are registered.However, if you update the charge price, it updates any receipts that have not been matched and closed.Is there a way to schedule purchase order charge changes so they do not update previous receipts.I.EReceipt 10/30 - Surcharge was 10%Receipt 11/10 - Surcharge was 11%.If receipt from 10/30 is still open and we update the surcharge to 11%, it updates the 10/30 receipt to 11% also.

Hi All;Is there any way to cancel purchase requisition line and a purchase requisition header. On IFS 10 there is no function to cancel purchase requisition but is there any other way for purchase requisition lines to stay still but behave like deleted, ignored by the further steps of procurement. Thanks in Advance

Is there an easy and fast way to add the same document text to a large amount of inventory parts?

 Hi,Looking for some knowledge and or experience with this area of IFS and intercompany order processingOur colleagues in a sister company sent IFS order confirmations via messaging for 2 no PO’s  nos. P108324 & P108325.(see attached)However, both PO Lines are showing as Released (NOT confirmed) in IFS which seems incorrect. Can anyone advise why the POs are only showing as released and not confirmed? Is  this an IFS bug? We are using Apps 9. RegardsJohn 

We start the process by creating a request for a product from the purchasing material request screen. We have an approval process set up for requests. Once the request is approved, purchasing personnel can change the material supplier or even split the request into two different suppliers. However, this operation cannot be performed because it is approved. How can we proceed without putting it through the approval process again?

It is getting more and more common to buy services as a subscription model rather than just buying a product up front. The whole SaaS model is based upon this.My question: How do you in this community deal with these purchases?My experience is that companies purchases subscriptions without a purchase order and deal with manual postings on invoice.If we would use the normal flow in IFS, and create a Purchase Order for this purchase. I would have to make a receipt of the PO to get invoices to match. That would be as much, or even more, work than just to deal with the invoice. Also, I don’t want to receive a larger amount than I am supposed to pay each month which would force me to do a receipt each month.Ideally there should be a functionality where I can create a PO and accept invoices/payments with re-occuring settings (for instance each month for a 2y period). It should be enough to approve one time that the purchase/payments will be

I miss having the opportunity for total amount for offers in Order Quotation as we have different offer for same job. Also miss having the opportunity to put in Charges at that stage, as we often forget to add that in PO later. What are your thoughts about this? HKK

Hi all, Some of our suppliers are offering “Core Deposits” (When they return their used components (called "cores"), we refund their deposit.)Do others have the same agreement and can tell how they are handling the deposits in IFS?

We would like to be able to authorise a Purchase order / Purchase Requisition Authorisation Step via email.   process would be for the  Authoriser to receive an email related to the Authorisation step.   the email should use the Yes / No buttons available in Outlook to Approve the PO/PR. has anyone done this using Outlook/Exchange and in APP10. We are also considering touch apps , but emails approval has been requested by the business.    

What is the IFS recommended way to handle the disassemble of finished goods.  Eg-  We might on occasion take apart finished goods and convert them back into component parts.  Currently, we achieve this by simply count out finished goods and count in components.

All our inventory is project specific and planning is accordingly done via project MRP. The ‘run project MRP’ functionality does not have the option to plan with alternate components (where MRP does). Hi! Our customer is using a VAN-service for electronic orders and invoices. The service has a monitoring site where our customer can see all transactions and their status. They have noticed that “Receiver name”  is not shown and when looking at the XML I found out that IFS doesn´t send Supplier Name in the outgoing message ORDER. Is this IFS Standard XML for order? Thanks! BREmma

Hi,I’m trying to set up IFS B2B customer portal(Apps10)so that the external user would see his/her orders via portal. This works ok for the connected default customer but I have not found a way to a) switch to another connected B2B customer inside IFS B2B or b) see all connected customers information (COs, quotatations, invoices,...) simultaneously.Aurena B2B client looks like the design is to use the default customer only but is it so that external user him/herself cannot switch to ‘non-default customer’ inside B2B portal?Rgds, Sami 

Hello all! Is it possible to get notified via email when a supplier agreement is coming to an end? For example a month before the Valid To date?

Hello, I am looking for guidance on how to view demand of component parts on a multi-site part. Essentially, I make component parts for a top level part (12345) at Site B. However, at Site A where part 12345 is produced, that sub component is purchased, as it is built at Site A. This creates an issue for Multilevel check, where it will only show the purchased component. So, there may be a shortage on the product structure of the manufactured unit at Site B, but that is not visible. I have not found anywhere in the help or in the IFS views where you can see true demand through an entire multi-site part. Is there a setting or screen where this detail exists in IFS? Thank you.

How to delete the PR line when RFQ is created? and request for order quotation is in closed state ?  

Hello, I am hoping for guidance on an issue. Currently, I have a single supplier performing an OS paint operation on a part we manufacture. There is a need for dual source, and my hope was to setup a Supplier Split for the OS of 50/50 between the two suppliers. However, I am unsure how to setup the routing. There is one internal operation, and the part is then shipped to the Supplier for paint. When I setup the supplier split and SFPP record, MRP continues to only create POs for the one supplier. I have tried to setup an alternate Routing that defines the new Supplier, but MRP will only create POs for the single supplier, even though the split is defined. Is this type of setup possible? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi All,We have a standard document text for the PO to be added to the Document at print. In some use cases the user will want to edit the text for a given PO which is not possible from the PO. To solve for this, I would like to add the Document text as the PO Header Text by default for every PO. This will allow the user to make any edits they need without the risk of having a blank header text printed on the PO. However I have been unsuccessful getting a custom event to work. I tried using the API  Document_Text_API.New_Note_Text but it does not seem to be working. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello togehter, i have currently the case that the “Serial No.” is not shown for for received serial parts in the Purchase Order: Is this a bug or does the assignment of the serial number to the purchase order has to be traced elsewhere afterwards?Many thanks and best regardsRolf

Hi.  Is it possible to make the inventory non-nettable while waiting for the transport task to be completed.  We’re currently using transport tasks to transfer materials to a different location within our instance, but we’re finding it shows up in the in-transit qty category, and is viewed as available inventory ahead of it’s actual arrival to the site.  Similarly, the receiving site isn’t able to see that supply coming in within MRP.   Are both of those options not applicable while using the transport task function?
