When Work Orders are created for PM Actions, either via the ‘Generate Work Order’ option on the PM Action page or through Calendar Generation, the resulting Work Order does not retrieve or display the Customer and Service Contract information from the originating PM Action.  Currently, this information is only transferred to the Work Task level.  As explained by R&D, this behavior is by design, since the PM Grouping function allows the creation of a single Work Order that may include multiple Customers and Service Contracts. However, we would like to request an enhancement from R&D to improve this logic so that when no grouping across multiple Customers and/or Service Contracts is involved during Work Order creation (from PM Actions), the system should fetch the Customer and Service Contract information directly from the related PM Action.

Tool A has been checked out, and Tool A can still be assigned on a work task, does the system not have a corresponding restriction or reminder. 

Hello,  My customer manufacture Serial Tracked Inventory Parts (with shop order).Within the  “Part Serial” screen, you can see the underling structure. Then, before shipping (via MMR), they want to maintain it with a work order/work task.So they have created the “Serial Object’s” with “Serial Maintenance Aware” screen. But when checking the “Equipment Object Navigator”, the underling structure is NOT created automatically. Is there anyway to make IFS create underling structure? without using Customer Orders. Many thanks! 

Hi, I’m thinking this is just how it is, but wanted to check. We upload inventory a lot that needs to be converted to Fixed Assets. Accounting goes to the Capex Preview screen, filters for the new items, and clicks “Create Fixed Assets”.   If they’ve selected more than 100 records, they get this error: ******FS Web Version: 24.1.10.20250305060220.0Date: 2025-04-22T14:41:01.756Z--------------------------------------------------------------------------BtdCapexPreview/CapexPreview (server error)Database error occurred. They can process them all if they do it in 100 group chunks, so it isn’t a problem with the literal fixed assets. I’m guessing 100 records is the practical limit and we can’t change this, but I thought I’d ask. Thanks!

Hi,Question 1:If I have defined the Customer warranty at Inventory Part, why the same information cannot be found in Part Serial screen?Customer warranty defined in the Inventory part screen. Then I receive a Serial via a PO. Why this template is not automatically connecting to the Part Serial Record?In Part serial screen its Blank? Do we have to setup this for very individual part serial record manually? Ita very time taken job specially if we have like 1000 of parts? Question 2.Lets say I have setup a Customer waranty template into one selected Serial (Manually addded) Then I use this serial in a work order task. I.e. I issue this Material Tab to the customer work order.  Once I issued this to the work order, I expect the warranty details to be avilable in part serial screen.But all Blank still.   Not sure I might executing this in a wrong way but the requirement is if we are giving say 1 year warranty to a part then once this part is issued to the work order then part should get the

We are currently on 24R1 SU6, and notice that the Property Name “FINISH_WITH_TASK” not is documented here or in 24R2. 🙄I changed the value from FALSE to TRUE in our test environment.I had a WO in status Work Done, and 2 work task where one was Finished and the other one Work Done.  The expected result was that the WO should change status to “Finished” when the last work task was changed to Finished. The actual result was that the WO changed to status Reported.I changed the value back to FALSE, and re-tested the same scenario again and got the same result. It seems like the the property not is used in any logic. Is there any planned changes related to the functionality for this object property to 25R1?

We have a number of Work Task Templates that we have built up in Apps 10.  We recently started having the Asset Management techs using Tech Portal start creating their own work in certain situations.We informed them to utilize these Work Task Templates, specifically because it included the Work Task Steps.  However, when creating new work from the New Work button within the Maintenance Engineer lobby under the equipment section, then adding the Work Task Template.  The resulting work task does not contain any work task steps.Using the same work task templates, and objects, we can create new work from the back-office side of things and it all works exactly as expected.

We use the IFS for Oil & Gas, We are trying to implement a Lubrication Program, is there any specific module/Tool or way of work that can help with the lubrication Program?For example:What is the guidance to manage the greasing tasks? Although the task is the same we have different types of grease, quantity and frequency. Where can we populate this information in the IFS?Today we thought to use WTT/PM Actions but no easy way to put the grease quantity and type.Is there any documentation about this specific request that can support us? 

Today when we create a PM Action we use the “PRIMARY TASK”. Can someone share a way to use multiple tasks in the same PM Action, is there a “SECONDARY TASK”?Is there any supportive document about this?Can someone share an example and good practice how to use multiple tasks?

When you activated Supplier Warranty on the Work Order before you book cost (time,material) on the Work Task the additional Sales Lines will be created and works fine.But when you want activated the Supplier Warranty, later into the proces when already cost are booked like time & material, there will be No additional Sales Lines created.Is there a possibilty to add Supplier Warranty when the Work Order/Work Task is on the status Work Done and aslo create the additional Sales Lines on IFS Cloud 24.2.3

Hi IFS,We have a scenario, we perform some work for the customer then for additional work its required to get the customer approval. For this we create an additional task with planning lines where its required to create a service Quotation.However when I create a Quotation from the work order header, this includes all task but not the one we just need customer acceptence. How to handle this in Cloud?We dont need to create a service quotation for the first task as it has performed as per customer contract agreements within the accepted limit.How I can include just the one Task in the service qutation? Thanks,KM

We are trying to build a Fault Tree based on the FMEA built by our company. The configuration today is:ELECTRIC MOTOR (Item class)  CONVERT ELECTRIC ENERGY TO MECHANICAL ENERGY (Function)     BEARING FAILURE (Fault Type)           OHE - OVERHEATING (Symptom)           OIL CONTAMINATION (Cause) This is the standard IFS functionality, is someone using in a different way? Where you can put the effect of the Failure, or using the  “Failling component” inside the Cause?If someone can share how is the tree inside the FASN.

Is there a way to have visibility to the belongs to site for objects? The use case is objects will be moved from originating site and will need to be maintained in new site. Technicians need visibility to the site the object has been moved to.

Hi Experts,We have a Requirement in Service Contract where we should not invoice the Customer upto Certain price Limit but when exceed we should get their Approval to proceed further.its like this We setup Price limit say $200. Then if a Work order exceeded this Limit it should not allow us to proceed further instead to get the Customer Approval. How to handle this in IFS Cloud 24R2. Refer example below.In Contract lines I set a Price Limit. Then I create a work order for this Contract with more than this Amount.$2500 > $200 But this still allows me to create an invoice Preview and Customer order?  How to use this Function in the IFS cloud?Help for Price limit in IFS says   Thank you,KM

I created a Workflow Configuration (Portal and mWO) for Work Task where the action “Task Measurement” is enabled and defined as “Mandatory”.in IFS Cloud 24R2.When I completed a Work Assignment of a work task without registration of any measurement, I expected that I get a message.Is this functionality only working for mWO and not for Technician Portal?

User feedback is that the edit pop up for pre postings is very irritating, since you have to do a mouse move to get to the next field.  In the screenshot above from my laptop the move is about 10 cm, while it’s about a 50 cm move on my external screen.Users sitting in an office just want’s to use tab to navigate between these fields.Is it possible to disable this avoid the edit dialog with a setting in Page Designer?(We are currently on 24R1 SU6)  

Hi,Customer is mainly using two different types of Contract types (Cover Levels), Standard and Premium Contracts.Starndard contract Support 5 Days a week and Premium Support 7 days including Weekends as well.This means they do not Support Weekends for Standard Cover but Premium only. Question 01: How this to setup in IFS Service Contracts? for example STANDARD contracts should not allow support during the weekend but PREMIUM only? Question 02:There are contracts, the 1st hour of labour included. For example if Technicain reported 4 Hours, only 3 hours should be invoiced? How to setup this? Please help to uderstand this setup in IFS Service Contracts. Kind RegardsKM
