Our enduser find GLBalanceAnalysis to be a window which is almost impossible to improve. Hidden columns is not saved, and prefered view is not possible to save…  Does IFS have any plans to improve this, and if, in which update?

Dear all, Currently, we are storing almost 12 million documents in our IFS CLOUD environment. In order to rein in the amount of storage that is needed for these documents, we looked into the type of documents currently stored. As for IFS setup, a document may exist in two types, namely an ORIGINAL document next to a VIEW copy, example in the picture below. Since both are taking up space (in DB or Filestorage), knowing that our company goals are met by keeping only the ORIGINAL document, I am looking for an automatic way to delete all VIEW copies of a document, where it co-exists with an ORIGINAL copy.  Since the user-interface allows deletion of just the VIEW copy in the screen above, I think a migration job would do the trick, both in selecting the right documents as in controlled deletion of the VIEW copies. Know that I do not just want to delete the VIEW copy metadata (as shown here) but also the underlying file, thus freeing up file storage. My migration job looks as follows:I am ru

We use Shop Floor Workbench with serial-tracked parts and are looking for end-to-end traceability of a serial throughout the manufacturing process. Our objective is to be able to select a serial number and view:All employees/users who worked on or reported against that serial The operations they performed The transaction date/timeIn addition, we would like to identify which operation a given serial is currently in at any point in time for a specific shop order. Is there any standard IFS functionality, report, lobby, or data source that provides this Serial → Operation → Employee traceability and current WIP operation visibility? If not, has anyone implemented a custom report or lobby that links:Serial Number Shop Order Operation Employee/User Transaction Date/Time Current WIP Operation StatusAny recommendations or best practices would be appreciated. Thanks!

All, Overtime, we build up a considerable amounts of obsolete documents in our (currently) IFS Cloud environment. With considerable, I mean 1.200.000+ documents. For storage considerations, we want to delete all documents marked as obsolete. Documents got obsolete over the years, meaning that some documents became obsolete yesterday, others are obsolete since 2019. I learned that there is this parameter, DAYS_EXPIRED, under Document Management>Basic Data>Document Class Management, that I can set to indicate how long obsolete documents should be kept before being purged. These are my questions:First question Not sure how a value for DAYS_EXPIRED is treated. If I were to specify 10 as a value, does thatremove my total population of obsolete documents, starting in 10 days (as in: the clock starts ticking now for both new and existing obsolete documents, wait 10 days and then selection and removing of all obsolete documents takes place select all documents that are obsolete for at lea

We are new to export licenses. This is for a UK based company. We have a general use license that is about to expire. It is currently connected to hundreds of customer order lines. I know how we could replace the old license with the new license using the Find and Connect Export License but that is one customer order line at a time. Is there a better way to update the connections to a new export license?

Morning, We are doing billing from sales contracts connected to a project. Our client PO is entered into revisions and items, we have found that users are able to close the sales contract before all applications are complete against the revisions and items. As per the standard docs: Complete Sales Contract, it seems this should not be possible. Are we missing some basic setup to prevent this or get a warning?  ThanksSean

Morning All, Since we have upgraded 25r2 we have lost the text under our bookmarks. Many users have not assigned unique icons to their favourites (just 10 stars) is there a setting to bring this back or is this now just the new UI as this seems like a backwards step. I know I can expand to read the text, but if we have the navigator open it is not very user friendly Thanks Sean

When I create a Project Invoice which is related to a Sales Contracts, I don’t have the field “Contract Reference” in the project invoice and it’s not appearing in the UBL when I send in e-invoice. Do you have any idea to have this field please ?

Hello IFS Community,We are currently running 5 environments (including PRD and non-PRD) for our implementation project with 500 users. Recently, we checked Insight Studio and found that our total Database Usage has already exceeded our Database Entitlement (350GB).For additional context, even in environments where we have barely inputted any data, a single environment is already consuming around 80GB.Given this situation, could you please advise on the following points? Environment Impact & Sizing: For those who manage multiple environments, how do you typically manage database entitlements? Is a 350GB pool generally expected to cover 5 environments, or is it common to adjust the contract/environment count? (If you are running 5 environments, we would also be interested to know your contract user count.) Identifying Space Consumption: What are the recommended steps, tools, or system views to identify what is consuming database space (e.g., system logs, attachments, specific table

We have a 6x4 inch label created in IFS Report Designer with a DataMatrix barcode in the top right corner.  The barcode displays correctly most of the time, but occasionally the barcode is replaced by a black box.  This only happens on the first printed label when we have multiple result keys that are sent to our label printer, and it doesn’t happen every time they print even if the exact same set of labels are printed.  When previewing the label in IFS, it can happen on the first label that is previewed and then everything after will work until we wait around 30 minutes and then again the first label might have the problem.  Has anyone else experienced this or have ideas on what might cause this and how to prevent it from happening? Examples of the bad and good labels:

Hi,I need to send the Invoice Report to a specific email address using the Print Dialog, as shown below.I receive an email as shown below. As a solution, I created a new Event Action under the PDF_REPORT_CREATED event. A Day Type was created to allow for ½ hour lunch period that is not auto-deducted. The intent is that Employees are required to clock in and out for lunch and that ½ hour would be counted towads time if they did not. It also allows the expected start time and end time of the scheduled day to display correctly.   The result is that the ½ hour extra time between two normal time periods is not counted. Only the extra time before the start of the normal time period at 7am and the end of the normal time period at 3:30pm are counted if the Employee clocks in at 7am and out at 4pm yielding 8.5 hours instead of the expected 9 hours of reported time. Why is the extra time from 11- 11:30 not included?

Currently based on supported planforms https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r1/080_supported_platforms/#middle_tier_server kubernetes 1.34 is the highest supported by ifs. I am writing to seek clarification regarding the database update scripts described in the [IFS Cloud 26R1 Technical Documentation](https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r1/060_development/027_base_server_dev/007_concepts/200_upgrade_scripts/).While the documentation outlines the use of traditional script files such as `.INS`, `.CDB`, and `.UPG`, we have noticed the introduction and increasing use of database update scripts designed for online updates.(https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r1/060_development/027_base_server_dev/007_concepts/250_online_upgrades/)In light of this transition, we would appreciate your guidance on the following points:1. **Deprecation Status:** Are traditional database update script files (`.INS`, `.CDB`, `.UPG`) planned for deprecation in future releases, or will they continue to be supported?2. **Coexistence and Deployment:** If a deployment package contains both traditional update files and online update scripts, will both types of scripts be properly applied without
