Please advise if changing the supplier after release of a quotation is possible. We get an error that says it is not, have to cancel the line and re-enter it to choose an alternate supplier. This should be standard functionality even if it changes to revised status. We should not be locked into the supplier only because we released the quote.
Hi,I’m seeking some guidance on Report Studio. This looks like a good tool for working with report layouts within IFS Cloud. I have picked up that there might be some limitations when working with custom fields and possibly with printing of these .rep reports. Can anyone share their experience on these limitations? Also, I checked the 24R2 and 25R1 Roadmap and do not see Report Studio mentioned. Should we expect updates to the Report Studio functionality in upcoming Releases and/or Service Updates? Thanks
Hi guys, I would like to understand how the SU and GA versions works. So the specific question is: When I have for example 25R1, is it coming with all fixes release before this version? And the SU, if I install SU1 and SU3, Will I lose the fixes from SU2?Thanks,Gianni Neves
Hi All,Can anyone help me understand how to setup data to the Analyze Segregation of duties window? Best RegardsPramod
We’re part way through IFS Cloud technical upgrade (IFS10 to 25R1). We have an inhouse team who did front end CRIM work in 10 and we decided that we’d do the CRIM uplift inhouse and into Build Place, rather than the front end. It’s been a very steep learning curve for the team to get up to speed and navigate through all the complexities of Build Place, the tools around it and the Branch, Sanity & Delivery builds. I’m just wondering how many customers have gone down this route in a technical upgrade, or either: Continued with customisations in the front end? or Outsourced the Build Place activities? It’s a hindsight question as we are progressing with the Build Place, but interested what others have done and the pro’s and con’s of itThanks Dave
Hi, When will 25R2 release notes be available for customers? I believe we would usually have the Release Notes by now with 3 weeks to go until GA of 25R2. I understand that I have the road map for 25R2 but it's the detailed release notes that I'd like. :) Thanks Tom
Hello, i have a weird issue. The first time someone logs into our IFS Cloud environment the login screen looks different. If i use incognito or InPrivate i am able to replicate the issue so i assume it is cache related. It started happening after our latest delivery (ServiceUpdate 24.2.10).First login:Second login:Any tips?
We have errors in 25R1.3 that has been solved in 25R1.4Is this service update available for customer ?
Hi @All,I´ve one question, we just installed Update 27 in APPS 10 and got now a strange error message, when we tried to change a weight (WEIGHT_NET in PART_CATALOG) for a part that is in use.The message tells us, that it is not possible to change a weight after there is a invoiced Shipment/customer order for that part.Is this a bug or a “new” function in IFS which cames with the update (we updated from 13 to 27)?Does anyone have experience with that issue? Thanks for any feedback.BRAndre
Can someone confirm what tables are not copied from Prod to UAT/CFG during a database clone? We are on 23R2 upgrading to 24R2 and I noticed that the database clones? I created a support ticket to learn this but they said I should post it in community instead. Thanks!
… where the numbers comes from, what are counted?
For planners and buyer/procurement teams. The inventory part availbitly planning overview, shows the status “Arrived” for materials that have been returned to the supplier.I think it should have a Status “RETWORK” like in Transcation History In this example, parts have been returned to the supplier using the following process steps. Generated a Return, by entering a “Qty to inspect” in the Receipt IFS opens the orginal Purchase Order Register Inspection Results Print a Return Note.Transaction History show the items as, RETWORKHowever for planners and buyer/procurement teams it is not clear that the parts have been returned to the supplier, even if they then check Purchase Order Lines History, is has status arrived which can then cause warehouse teams to look for the materials. I think that this will help many IFS users worldwide.

Hi,Does anyone have any information on how Oracle EBR is used in 25R2? I can see in the documentation there is a readiness tool to change the database objects to become editionable but I’m looking for information on whether anyone has run this or what issues they have faced? https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r2/060_development/027_base_server_dev/225_reduced_downtime_delivery/020_code_changes/010_ebr_changes/We’re interested in looking into no downtime releases for remote deployments so if anyone is able to assist it would be much appreciated.Kind regards,Adam
In Customer Order Lines, we would like to use the “Create Task” function to do some extra monitoring of an order line. We can create the task, but are running into problems if the person assigned to the task is out of the office and someone else is covering for them. We are getting error messages “Only Assignee can reassign the task”, “Only Assignee can complete the task”, and “Only Assignee can edit the task”. How might we allow another to take over the task and work on it?We are using Aurena Apps10

I tried submitting a case with IFS on this but was advised to try here first. Please advise if anyone is able to help with what we are experiencing below. We are hosting ourselves on-prem and recently upgraded from IFS 9 to 24R1. TL;DRThe <server> cluster is in HA mode but it is not using the typical robust cluster state database software that we would expect in a production ready environment (using Etcd). In addition to that, each node refers to itself for the Kubernetes API instead of a load balanced IP address in the event a node goes down. This is symptomatic of a non-production/non-enterprise setup. Microk8s is best suited for small, single node implementations and/or local development. It does have addon features to provide HA and other production style features, however, those features are not very robust. This is how IFS chose to package their product, and they don’t appear to offer any other on-prem options. So, we appear to be stuck with it as is. As a reference for the
Hi Team, we are going to upgrade IFS 9 to IFS cloud . it should be via IFS 10 & then IFS cloud . Anyone have done the same & could you Please share the steps for same with script. RegardsSuraj
Hi,We are working on upgrading our IFS 10 UPD 22 version to IFS Cloud 25 R1.Upgrade. This will be On-Prem to On-Prem UpgradeWe would like to know whether the database upgrade can be performed in a customer-hosted (On-Prem) interim environment rather than doing it in an environment hosted by IFS. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide some insight into this matter.
Dear IFS Experts, We are currently upgrading two IFS customers: one from IFS 9 to IFS Cloud and the other from IFS 10 to IFS Cloud. Both customers are already hosted in the IFS Managed Cloud, and they will continue to be hosted there after upgrading to IFS Cloud. This means we cannot upgrade directly on the IFS use place production environment in the Managed Cloud. Instead, we have to use an interim database outside of the Managed Cloud to run the upgrade scripts. This approach requires us to: Export (Data Pump) the current database (based on IFS 9 or IFS 10). Upload the dump file to Azure Storage. Download the dump file from Azure Storage to the interim environment to prepare for the upgrade. Import the dump file to the interim database. Perform the upgrade. Complete all validations. Create an Oracle PDB Archive file as per the IFS Managed Cloud procedure. Upload the PDB Archive file to Azure Storage. Download the PDB Archive file from Azure Storage to the IFS live production environm
Hello everyone,In IFS Cloud, I would like the rows in tables or lists to appear in a zebra pattern — meaning alternating white and light gray backgrounds for better readability. How can I achieve this? Are there any examples or best practices available for implementing such a style? This feature is very important for the development work I’m doing.Thank you in advance for your help!
Is it possible to upgrade to IFS Cloud 25R2 directly from IFS Applications 9?
Hello all; In one of my recent upgrade projects involving an 8TB Oracle database, I observed that the import operation is taking approximately 62 hours to complete. Within this, importing INDEXES alone consumes around 21 hours, and importing CONSTRAINTS takes about 24 hours. I am looking for best practices, tips, or any suggestions to help reduce the overall import time, especially for these long-running segments. If anyone has experience with speeding up large database imports or optimizing the import of indexes and constraints, your insights will be highly appreciated. Currently, the import is a major bottleneck in the upgrade timeline, and any guidance on parallelism settings, pre/post-import tuning, or other techniques would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!Note:Here I've used PARALLEL=30 as well [ 32 CPU Database server ] INDEXES CONSTRAINTS BR!/Dilshan
