What is the difference in Sales Contract and Service Contract. I am sure services can be sold and managed in Sales contract management. When to use Sales Contract and when to use service contract.?

We recently upgraded from IFS 8.1 to IFS Cloud 2023.2.2.In 8, we had the ability to set a shop floor employee job for difference as an indirect operation or a direct operation.  In IFS Cloud, we do not see a place to set a direct job for difference, only indirect.Has this functionality been completely removed with intent, or was it moved?Is anyone handling this situation differently? Screenshots of IFS 8 and IFS Cloud pertinent screens attached.

Hi ,In App10 is it to possible to navigate to a company specific page by passing Column value from record when clicked (not Parameter).   $COMPANY$ will pass the param value or we don’t want the user to keep changing company parameters to be able to navigate to the correct page. Thanks  

Is there a process to get the system populated with example, demo, or dummy data?We are new to IFS Cloud, and will be starting our implementation process with our partner soon. However, we would like to be able to see what a basic setup would look like.Our prior ERP system had an example database which had the minimal setup with some dummy transactions. This was helpful in exploring functionality not implemented and was helpful to the development process.

Hi,  In my lobby I get an overview over all erroneous postings. Under “Project Transactions” I see there are some errors. By clicking on the number of erroneous postings, I end up in project posting analysis. Here I see that the hours I try to register on one project have the following error description: “CODE PART C is mandatory for account 4421”. On the same line, I see that the column “CostCenter” is blank (without any information). I want all the project hours to be allocated to specific costcenters, hence the account details is correct. However, I cannot seem to connect the registered hours to the various costcenters. Maybe this is not relevant, but when I go to “Employees” and find the relevant person, I see that she is registered with correct “Organization” and “Position”. The hours have also been confirmed in the time card. Further, the hours is correctly transferred to the correct project activity and is shown in the project monitoring view.  Does anyone have an idea how to fi

When creating AFPs with retentions, it has been observed that the retention percentage does not always calculate correctly. This creates issues when we receive payment certificates from customers, as we are unable to match the values accurately.For example, in a contract with a value of £75,542.08 and a 5% retention, the expected retention amount should be £3,777.10. However, the application calculates the retention as £3,777.16, resulting in a 3p discrepancy when releasing the interim retentions.Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? It may cause problems with customers when paying invoices.

Hello,is it possible to book an appointment in PSO that specifies the technician but instead of booking a fixed time you only specify the day. This way PSO schedules this technician for the day in its view and PSO itself determines which time is the best. This way I would only have to confirm the day and the technician to the customer and PSO would find the best time for me. But we like to do it in PSO we don’t like to use appointment  bokking in FSM.

Dear Community,in our company we’d like to implement MT100 bank payment format for payments in EUR. Could you please kindly advise where to define that the cost of such payment should on our side - ‘OUR’ identifier. I cannot see any place for such info in the Electronic Payment Address. Have you faced such an issue? Do you have any suggestions where to look for? We are also testing the option of Polish Split Payment solution of vat payment in accounting currence. If there are any Polish specialist with experience in this area here, I’d be also grateful for any feedback. Thanks :)

Hello IFS Community,im trying to create a permission set with read only access to a few screens, one of the is the part cost, i have the projection set “PartCostHandling” as Read Only and my user goes into the screen called “Part Cost", the user gets the message“Your System Administrator has not granted permission to complete that action”what permissions is this talking about? what am i missing in order to let the user just VIEW this page?I appreciate any help out there.  

After defining a custom rule with SA070200 code in Avalara, is it possible to apply this custom rule to a charge or non-inventory part in IFS? 

We are encountering the following error in the 24r2 IFS deployments. In some environments and due to this the deployment process is getting stuck or hanging. In most cases, the deployment hangs indefinitely.The error occurs during the deployment of IFS 24r2, and it appears inconsistently across various environments.The background jobs are configured to 0. We have attempted to resolve the issue by restarting the database, but the issue persists. On some occasions, the error appears for different packages, not just one specific package, indicating that it may not be isolated to a particular module.!!!PACKAGE GENERAL_SYS not created/replaced because it is locked by another process. You might need to redeploy it manually

Hi Community experts, I have create a custom menu for BDRs so that our internal business users can self serve and find all the lists they want to maintain in one place in IFS menu.What is the recommended way to propagate this to other IFS environments like TST & PRD etc there seems no way to bundle them in an ACP,  for example.Or is it simply the case that you apply the required changes in each IFS instance manually as and when.TIA on this recommendation

In IFS, when labor clocks into a shop order, the cost is derived from the "Labor Class," which is defined in the routing of the part. However, when labor clocks into an indirect job, the cost is calculated as hours worked × standard cost, where the standard cost is defined in HR > Standard Costs. The issue is that these standard cost rates have not been updated in a long time. We are concerned that changing it might impact other accounts or areas within the system.Before making any updates, We’d like to understand: What specific accounts or financial areas would be affected by a change to the standard cost? Are there any dependencies or system configurations that need to be checked before updating this value? Hi,  In new service management, in release 23r1, does anyone have performance issue? Indeed, in this version, it is really long to update the service request tab. We have found that it is because of high number of service object (functionnal object) in a certain site (more than 100 000 objects). If someone have occured this issue also, can you please contact me? Regards.
