Why are standard entities added to a projection configuration read-only?

In the documentation, Known Limitations - Technical Documentation For IFS Cloud, it is noted that "Standard entities added to a projection configuration are read only, [and] hence do not support [CRUD] operations."

There are many useful customizations that could come out of allowing for the configuration of CRUD operations between standard entities that are newly configured on standard entities. From some research, it seems that the reason for this decision may be due simply to protecting IFS business logic, preventing breaking changes, ensuring allowed versus unauthorized operations, and abiding by the intended design of the system (of the standard entities).

If anyone has an explanation or further resources, the main questions that I was wondering where: Why are standard entities added to a projection configuration read-only, and are there any solutions or thoughts on this?
