Hi All,I need some assistance implementing automatic day type switches in cloud.Is it possible to see whether a day type switch has been activated - which screen please?Is it possible to use the day type switch when logging in/out times in the time card or time card details screen? I have seen some older documentation which suggests this can only be used in conjunction with time clock.but this additional detail is missing from the 24R2 documentationI have created the automatic day type switch 

Let’s say we are on 25 may 2025, and the month of apris is already closed, users are still able to enter time on account dates during april and they are not blocked until it goes to accounting. Is there a way we can block at the time registration ? 

Good morning.  If an Employee number changes due to change in Employment Type (e.g converted from Contractor to Perm), how do you handle this in IFS since you can’t modify the Employee Number?Thank you.Anya

Hi everyone,I’m currently logged in as an HR user in IFS Cloud and have noticed that I can view the documents of my manager(supervisor), who is also part of the HR department. This raises a concern, as these documents may be confidential and should ideally not be accessible to peers or subordinates within the same department.Is there a way to configure access controls so that HR users can only view Their own documents Documents of employees who report to them but not those of employees at the same level or above in the organizational hierarchy (especially within HR)?I would appreciate any guidance on how to set up this kind of access restriction, whether through permission sets, document access roles, or any other recommended configuration in IFS Cloud.Thanks you. I have attached a screenshot for your reference and all the 4 documents that can be seen in below SS related to u

Hello, Is there an easy way in the Human Capital Management module to restrict managers from being able to approve their own expense sheets? Currently, their own expense sheets show in: Human Capital Management>Manager Services>Expenses>Expenses to Manage And they have the ability to approve the expense from there (even though we have asked them not to). I am not extremely familiar with this module, so I may be missing an obvious solution here. We are using IFS Cloud 24R1U4 Thank you! 

Hi All,I'm having some difficulty defining an access role where a user can only remove authorizations.Specifically, an HR employee is responsible for performing a final check and must be able to remove authorizations, bot project input and attendance, but not authorize them. The authorization action is reserved for another role.The deletion of the input is also not needed - the person only needs to remove the authorizations.Does anyone have suggestions on how we can define this kind of role in the cloud environment?Thanks in advance!

When swipe the card time clock  machine shows below error Field [ABSENCE_TYPE_ID] is a required field for leave requests and requires a value. It has enabled the card driven execution for absence request in time clock and  Access granted via access role connected time clock user used to setup the time clock Has anyone encountered this issue before or knows the reason behind it

Hi Community,Does anyone know whether IFS Time Clock can be used with a fingerprint / facial recognition type device. All we want to do is set up IFS time clock such that Time In / Out are recorded with a finger scan or a face scan. The customer doesn’t want to use a card reader.Thanks in Advance!Malik

Good day.  We added a CompanyID to the Person Name (after the Surname).  In the Employee File though we would like to only have the Name and Surname of the Employee Displayed without the CompanyID behind the Employee Surname.Please can you assist with correct steps to take to ensure Employee Name displays as required?Thank you.Anya

After entering an entertainment expense item, a new box called “No Agenda” pops up. However, we don’t know where such an agenda should be added.We’ve tried filling out all empty field (References, text fields, etc.), there is a guest list registered, we’ve also added attachments to the expense lines.Does anybody know how this works?We are using IFS Cloud. 

In our setup, employees report time via FEND linked to IFS. Currently, the time reporting window shows upcoming weeks as well, allowing users to enter time for future dates.We need to restrict time reporting to the current week only, either by hiding future weeks or triggering a validation error if attempted.Is there a way to configure or customize this behavior?Thanks, Vihanga

The Specifice Sales Prices has a field for Markup Percentage and Markup Price.  Neither of these are editable and are not able to be set when create a new row.  How is this supposed to work?  How would I go about changing these fields.  I can set these values when working wth the Standard Sales Price.Thank you.Patrick

Hi HR ExpertsWe have 2 leave types, statutory and non-statutory. Through the Request Absence feature in IFS, the employees can select only the leave type statutory. So that works fine. Type non statutory is turned off as shown below. How can we automatically activate for selection on the absence request once all the statutory leaves are used? [I know manual activation is possible through edit in the screen]  Version 24.1.9Thanks,Asela

IF i was setting up docman classes (six ) per region and havig about 15 regions….I was to attach existing document to the right employee (incase the bulk upload was provided wrong employee detail for one document oout of many ) how do i make sure that when get use the right employee file page doc attachment with the classes and formats ..the document is alread in IFS except that its assigned to the wrong employee…I expect before detaching the document making a not of the “doc number” and detach to get rid of wrong employee association. However with the right exployee attach the existing “doc number” one shoudl go through the  attach existing button before the New document and search for the document , however here it shows all document within IFS right from invoce expenses etc...expecially with Multiple companies / regions / classes ..how to customise what is able to be shown in the attach existing page !!! My issue is its showing all types of document not the employee

Hi Everyone, Can anyone point me to some examples of setting up Absence actions?  I checked the help and it doen’t make things very clear. I’d like an absence action to be created when an employee returns to work.  I can make it work partially using T-ACTION with the following parameters:1;2;2;1;10;5;10;1I’m struggling with paramter 4: Start Day Value; does anyone know what values are acceptable in this parameter?  What value would I enter for the end of the absence (ie, when the employee returns). If anyone has any examples of Absence actions I’d be really interested to see. Many thanks, Scott 

Hi, In APP10 IEE, is it possible to prevent employees from manually editing their time using the time card feature, while allowing them to record time only through the time clock option? 

The client pays OT based on the region employee is from, If employee is from region A then they will be paid 1.5x times for anytime worked more than 40hours a week, if the employee is from region B they will get paid 1.5x times if they work above 48 hours, whereas for hours 40 - 48 its 1x times.All the employees has 14 day schedule where week 1 is of 33 hours and 40 hours in their second week.The employees are monthly salaried so they are mostly automatic insert of normal hours in time and attendance time base.These employees have only two wage code which generates times, one is 100 for normal wage hours and 200 for Overtime worked.Can someone help me understand how we can configure this using balance functionality.The maximum time an employee can accumalate is 80 hours. 

Is it possible to record attendance by manually entering just the card number in the Time Clock window without using the physical card when card-driven execution is enabled?

When a manager creates a request, selecting an employee, the employee column shows the manager's photo, not the employee's photo. Is this standard or an error?
