Hello IFS Community,

 

Can someone please explain to me how the Absence Limit Details work?  I would like to be able to accrue vacation absences every 2 weeks.  I thought the settings below would do that, but it is not working.

 

When I generate the limits, I get the full year no matter the hire date and accrual time of the employee.

 

  1. This is the Employee File

  2. Here is the Absence Limit Year that I used to generate the balances

  3. This is the result

How do you get IFS to accrue a partial year?  Specifically, 2 weeks at a time?

Hi, Did you ever manage to get this to work?

I’m looking at a similar requirement and though I’ve worked out the Proportion field goes someway to making this functional:

 

 

The full limit still shows when the user goes to book their leave via the absence calendar. It’s only when they try and create the absence request that the system tells them they don’t have enough leave accrued. Which isn’t the best for usability...
