Hi,

This is an issue within the IFS Cloud Ventechi Pre-sales env that IFS allow their partners to use.

We have a demo on the 18th Sept, the feature below was working 2 weeks ago.

I have asked IFS support about the issue below, but they have said that they cannot help me with any IFS Pre-sales env related issues.

The issue is
When trying to use the “Quick Expense Reporter” part of IFS Cloud to create an expense record, connect the scanned in receipt to the expense record and use the scanned in data (OCR) to populate the IFS Expense sheet with data. In the IFS Cloud Ventechi Pre-sales environment we get a warning saying "Warning - unable to extract detail from the receipt at this time. Enter expense details manually".


The stage in the process where the warning message is displayed, is when we are performing the step called "Scan a Receipt".

Has anyone got any experience of seeing a Warning message like the one above in the IFS Cloud Ventechi environment please?

If anyone has any suggestions, please let mw know.

Hi Steve,

Please note that it’s not encouraged to use environments mentioned in Demo Environments - IFS Cloud Demo Showroom for customer demos, as these are shared/internal partner environments and can sometimes have service limitations.

There was a known issue with the AI services connected to these environments, which could be the reason behind the OCR/receipt scanning functionality. We are checking the status of this issue and will confirm once the service is available again.

Hi Steve, 

There were some known issues with AI services in the last few days. However, they have been resolved now and this should work for you in the Global Presales Partner environment. 

I just tested this in this environment and it’s working. There are some receipts I can give and certain points to follow. I will get back to you via an email with details. If you have any feedback on Ventechi in future, please feel free to raise them in https://community.ifs.com/ifs-demo-showroom-employee-partner-only-268 for a faster response.
