We are on Apps 8 and have just implemented the use of Employee Objectives.  However, we have key users in Finance who need access to authorize employee expenses and payroll.  Our solution to provide this access has been to grant them positional access to the level of CEO.  However, now that we are implementing Employee Objectives, we don't want these people being able to see everyone’s objectives.  How do we grant them access to be able to deal with expenses and payroll but remove access to objectives, other than their own?

Hello, I’ve a customer with the requirement that he wants to define the naming of a PDF document (e. g. customer invoice) by himself. If in IFS a PDF is automatically created then the naming is like “PDF46549877987…..” for the PDF file. Is it possible in IFS to define the namings of in IFS created PDF files?

How do I determine which Projections I need to grant in order to give permission to do a function in Aurena?  For example, if I want to grant the “Report Time” function, how do I find the projections to grant?

Hi, we have an issue where we want to use document attachments for expenses. The users who will need to be able to view the attachment is the employee the expense sheet has been created for, the employees manager and an administration team. Generally the employee is inputting the attachment so will automatically get permission to see the document, adding an administrative team is easy but how can I get the employees line manager to view the document without opening the document up to multiple other users?ThanksHelen

I have the HR Matrix organization structure setup as follows. Employee A belongs to Company 101. Employee A is connected to position structure 7000 Employee B belongs to Company 102. Employee B is connected to position structure 6000 Employees in Position 7000 reports to Employees in Position 6000 Supervisor Access setup is in place   The Purchase Authorization setup is as follows. Employee B is added as a Purchase Authorizer for company 101.  Authorization Routing Template is created connecting both positions 6000 and 7000 PO Authorization Rule is also in place.   Scenario When a PO is raised for a site connected to company 101, employee A can authorize the PO without any errors. But employee B get the following error. “The Authorizer/Acknowledger ‘B’ is not assigned to position 6000 in company 101 and she is not a superior authorizer or substitute for any of the persons assigned to position 6000”   Question Does HR Matrix organization structure extends to Purchase Authorization Rules

Is there away to create users from a template or to copy from an existing user?Our current process of creating users is very manual and time consuming, if we could copy a user who does the same role or create templates for each role it would be a lot better. Any help or advise anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking for some advice around screens in IFS which hold global data. We’re doing a big security review at the moment so want to make sure that we’ve got data managed such that only users in particular companies can see data they’re granted access to through site / company access. Some examples of the areas where we’ve had to make considerations are: Customers [header level & address / contacts], we’re managing this through CRM (we set groups up for each company basically) IALs, we reviewed all the IALs we’ve built in the system to ensure they only point to data for the relevant company Report Archive, we discovered there’s a permission set which a number of users have which allows them to view all reports printed (we’ve since revoked this) Employment Informaiton / People Finder & Suppliers, we’ve accepted these as being global screens but are happy that there isn’t much sensitive data here so minimal level of concern I was hoping the community might be able to help us come

We are trying to find a way to clear the files from the temporary directory that are created when viewing files from within IFS. The reason is when the user goes to open another file from IFS it prompts to replace the file or not. Not a huge deal but when they are opening a number of files at once it is a bit annoying.

Hello Heroes, I am reviewing the following IFS F1 Documentation page for Apps 10 to Configure behavior through server startup parameters:   As per the note, You can add/change these startup parameters from IFS Applications intaller at installation time or by using IFS Middleware Server Admin Console. I am unable to locate these parameters in IFS MW Admin Console? Can you please point where to look specifically?

Hello All, Can anyone advise how we could control access to the report archive screen/data by site / company? At present any user can print/view any report from report archive screen regardless of this access, this is posing a potential security threat as our organisation is made up of multiple companies. We’ve tried revoking access to report archive activity, however that meant the user could not print any reports as a result. Please advise.

Hello, Can anyone tell me what’s presentation object name (Form name) of Report Archive Screen? Actually I am trying to find out who has access to this screen from permission screen? But I can’t see any thing in debug console for this, also not in System Info Tab at bottom.     Thank you.

We have a number of shop floor based employees who are not users and register to shop orders via the Shop floor Workbench, which adds a labour clocking to the shop order operation, this clocking can also be viewed in shop floor clocking’s, time registration and time card day MFG Clocking’s screens. Why is it then that when the Shop Order button in time registration screen is used to register the time against a shop order operation this transaction is not also visible (created) in the other views, what is the point of the Shop Order button in time registration?   Apps 8

We are currently experiencing an issue with how the absence calendar is displayed. The way Windows 10's scaling works at 100% and above causes the absence calendar to be cut off on smaller displays even at 100% scaling. Do you experience the same issue? We would be pleased hear from you with a possible solution.  Thank you in advance.
