HCM (Human Capital Management, Payroll)

We’re looking to set up and use TouchApps in our Apps9 environment, and have managed to get several of them working OK using iOS devices. That said, I have a problem with the TimeTracker app where it errors when trying to sync during login.  It just keeps looping with the green sync running followed by this error. I’m not sure if this is related to security - there is no permission set script that can be generated from the TAS server - or if this is something else.   Can anyone provide any guidance or point me to some documentation I might be missing? After creating a Personnel Requisition and saving it the status is Prepared.  On trying to RMB > Confirm we are receiving the message You are not allow to perform this action.     Any ideas?

What are the possible solutions Available to implement Data level Access control in IFS, apart from existing Company, Site and access control functionality in CRM. For E.g. Oracle provides different access permissions for Data and Screen how can that be achieved in IFS. Are there any new functionalities added to security / permission setup around data access control?

Hi All,   I have found  blob format  as file data column in edm_file_storage_tab but I need to get file as respective file format like PDF,docs. Is there any conversion procedure there in IFS?

I have created a Fire Role Call report that uses the view from the Present Employees screen.  The idea is that one of the Security team in the Security Lodge would run the report in the case of a Fire Drill or indeed in the case of the fire alarm going off.   The problem I have is that the report only displays sub-ordinates as per the Supervisor Access Setup. e.g. if a manager/supervisor runs the report they would see their subordinates.   We need the report to display a list of ALL the employees swiped in, bypassing the Supervisor Access Setup.     Can somebody please advise how I can get around this issue.

Hi, As am unable to record ongoign sickness on APPS9 - I wanted to record a ‘To’ absence date a long way in the future. Unfortunately, it wont allow that because of holidays booked already it wont allow overlapping absences. Is there anyway i can configure to have more than once absence recorded for a different reason but a the same time?

Hi, Please see the screen of Inventory Transactions History below. You can find Posting error checkbox ON. I would like to find why those errors appeared. 2 lines from top to 2nd might just transfer Inventory from Stock location to shipment location then 3rd line shows parts delivery to customer. The invoice is still NOT issued. In my thought, financial transaction may not be needed, so the checkbox “Has Erroneous Postings “ shows ON with the meaning of Posting NOT required…. Please advice me thet my thought is correct or not. if NOT, please let me know how to check the error and solve it. Regards; Yasuda    

I was kindly helped previously, but struggling to use the resolution was recommended here:   I can see the ‘Ongoing’ option on the absence registration tab, but when I look I cant find the column at all? Am assuming I need to set this up somewhere as some kind of absence type?? These are the options I see:     Help appreciated!

I would like to record absences that are ongoing where I do not have an end date. From what I can tell, the absence registration requires both a FROM date and a TO date. I would like the not have to enter the TO date, leaving the absence open and then reporting as such. As it were, am having to record sickness in outlook, then add to IFS once I know the absence dates. Would prefer to keep all in once place.   How do you guys record open-end sickness in IFS?   Thanks   Bruce

Dear community.  When an employee starts indirect/production using the Shop Floor Workbench they are prompted with a Warning that they have not registered an attendance In clocking (as we do not clock in/out).  This creates a record on the interval tab of the Time Card Day with the in time.  When the employee stops indirect/production the MFG clocking/results are created but no OUT time is created, so the employee can finish for the day and the Out clock never gets populated.  Then the employee can try to book in Time Registration to another indirect shop order and they get the message   It is not calculated as there is no end clocking, but what will insert the end clocking since the employee doesnt clock for attendance, only for shop orders?   This error then stops any entry on the time registration , even for other days, and no results are generated for that day, so the day can not be authorized for payroll transfer.    What am i missing ?   Thanks as always!

Hello,  Is anyone experience issues using the Time Balance Reconciliation with the Time Base “Job Hour Controlled Hours?”  I currently have the time balance reconcilliation process to convert any hours above 8 to OT.  The time card is recalculated to subtract the regular hours allocated to overtime. E.g when reporting 10 hours on job, attendance hours with reconcilliation are reported as REG - 8, OT -2. When trying to insert any additional job hours, I am getting the error message : Failed to insert normal hours…….  There is no error, when I turn off time balance calculation on the time card.  If anyone experienced the following issue, I would appreciate any insights. Thanks!      

We use a well known T&A system (MitreFinch).  Is there a way of integrating this into Apps10 so that employee clockings and holidays pull through?

Can Oracle WebLogic handle incoming messages in onshore (thus avoiding to use separate Oracle Services to handle incoming messages from each Rig)?. Note - Using multiple Oracle services to handle incoming messages from each Rig reduces the overall Oracle DB performance   Thanks, Roshan

When employee is working during night time and daytype is setup using from current to next the attendance time is registered to time card on the date of the evening when employee starts his work. During this same night when reporting time on shoporders through workbench the manufacturing clockings goes to the timecard of the date when they where actually performed.  So as an example  On time card for Tuesday 2020-04-14  Intervall page show 2020-04-14 22:00 - 2020-04-15 06:00 Manufacturing clockings pages show transactions where stopped dates are from  2020-04-14 00:15 - 2020-04-14 22:55 According to attendance daytype settins the majority of those transactions show have been shown on time card for Monday 2020-04-13 Is there a way to set the system to handle this ?

Hi, I am trying to find a way to restrict overtime wage codes from being used on certain days of the week. This is for a simple use of Time Registration for manually entering attendance hours. For example, overtime x 1.0 would be used throughout the week but overtime x 2.0 should only be available on weekends and public holidays.     Any suggestions welcome.    Thank you Sarah
