I have known IFS allows Or in the search field using “;” How can end user use NOT IN? Below does not work   Nor does below work!       Any idea without using SQL as this is for end user who is not SQL expert.

When a customized form is deployed and if the form has some entries in the base profile, the customized form is not loading instead the standard form is getting loaded for the user. The same user if we remove the base profile, the user is able to see the customized form. The base profile is not getting updated with the Customized form name. It looks like I have do recreate the profile again for all the customized pages. Is there solution available for this. Thanks & Regards, Siva     

Dear All,   Does anyone has any idea about outbox messages which are in Released status. They should be transferred after some time but they are stuck in Released status, when I am checking the message line they are coming in Posted and no error is coming. I checked the connectivity setting in system parameters for outbox and inbox process. Both are On. I checked the setup connectivity, i did the setup for installation site still no luck.  Please advice what else we can do.   Thanks IP

Hi, We have a small group of users who require access to the Quick Report screens in IFS as they are responsible for business reporting.  In Apps 8, this is Solution Manager->Reporting->Ad-hoc Reporting Is there a way of just granting them access to these two screens without giving them the Administration system privilege as we don’t want them having access to all the other components in Solution Manager as this poses a risk they could change system config/settings. Hi All, I am trying to replicate customer issue internally with the customer db dump. Program sends series of sql statements to the database ( i.e inserts ,updates delete ). If the program completed successfully, I just refresh the tables with customer db dump and started testing again. I have completed couple of test runs yesterday successfully.(it takes around 10 mins to complete all sql statements ) When I ran test today, it stuck on particular statement (even after 10 mins that particular sql statement didn’t get completed ), where as yesterdays run it took less than one minute to complete and sends back results to the program, on same data. I am testing the program each time on exact the same data. No changes in database, data, and no time outs , no network issues, noted. No deadlocs or table blocks observed. Why the oracle sometimes takes long time (some times no response at all ) on sql statements which sends results quickly on previous tests, exactly on same data)?  Not c

I created my own page navigator node in the gobal context of Aurena but when I go to a user that has a different permission set then mine they don't see the newly created node.  How do I get this changes of nodes to show for the different permission sets?

I recently added a field to a stock IFS operational report and found it challenging. I'm probably missing something really basic. I've created and modified a lot of operational reports done with Crystal Reports, but this is the first time since Apps 2004 that I've tried to use the IFS tools. Does anyone have any better documentation/training material than what is supplied with the Report Designer? Or tips and tricks on creating/modifying reports with Report Designer?

We have an issue with Crystal Web services which we are looking into, but I want to create an event that would fire when a print job goes into a status of ‘Error’ - the action being to ‘Restart’ the job (As you can do manually with an RMC. Just want to automate this re-try for the time being. I have created an event on the ‘Printjob’ logical unit, but not sure how to make it fire and perform the  restart action. Any tips?? Am trying to make this fire when the message ‘No PDF returned from Crystal Web Service’ Thanks

Hi, I’m on IFS 9 and I would like to send a post request to a routing address. IFS 9 doesn’t support destination type REST, so I need to use HTTP. I know the endpoint, and from postman I have copied this HTTP request:   When I try to call this endpoint from IFS using a routing address I get “Internal server error” back. I know the headers and the message are correct, but IFS doesn’t seam to read them correct. How could this be done? Any help is very much appreciated.  

Hi there,   Does anyone know what username and password should be entered into the boot.properties file for the adminserver? wls_domain\CST1\servers\AdminServer\security\boot.properties   I am trying to get an old test verson up and running, I get the following error in the AdminServer.log   Here is the exception from the log: Caused By: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication denied: Boot identity not valid. The user name or password or both from the boot identity file (boot.properties) is not valid. The boot identity may have been changed since the boot identity file was created. Please edit and update the boot identity file with the proper values of username and password. The first time the updated boot identity file is used to start the server, these new values are encrypted.

We would like to create a link in Microsoft Planner to a case in IFS.  When we put the link in planner, it changes the link slightly and no longer works in IFS.   This link works in IFS. https://gi48erpprod1.chiefind.net:49080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application?url=ifsapf%3AfrmCaseHeader%3Faction%3Dget%26key1%3D172537 However, Microsoft Planner Converts the link to this. https://gi48erpprod1.chiefind.net:49080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application?url=ifsapf:frmCaseHeader?action=get&key1=172537 Which does not work in IFS.  Note the yellow highlights.  Is there a way to make Planner keep the original format?  Or is there a way for IFS to accept the updated format?  

Hi, inside of EE client, we could enable Address and input a URL manually. As we tested, both HTTP and HTTPS protocol are supported. To avoid security problem related with HTTP, how to enable SSL inside EE client?  or how to make EE client block the access if the URL is not support HTTPS? Thank you!

Hi all, I am trying to configure a new inbound EDI process to receive customer orders into our IFS 10 UPD 4 setup after being converted from VDA 4905/4915 to EDIFACT DELSCH XML. The  first part of the process works ok (ReceiveCustomerSchedule) but the second part fails (LoadInboxMessage). The error text is: XMLPARSE_NAME:View name mismatch: SCHEDULES != IN_MESSAGE_REQUEST at [2:1]  Caused by: ifs.fnd.record.serialization.FndXmlRecordParser$ViewNameMismatchException: XMLPARSE_NAME:View name mismatch: SCHEDULES != IN_MESSAGE_REQUEST at [2:1] I have configured: [Our ID at Customer] in Customer Add DELSCH config to Message Setup in Customer Configured Routing Rules - Inbound Can anyone give any pointers as to what “View name mismatch: SCHEDULES != IN_MESSAGE_REQUEST” might refer to? Hi,We are looking into using custom application messages to create and receive XML files in order to make an integration to an external customer system.  My initial thought was to create a custom plsql api package to fetch to correct data from the database, and then create the application messages  by using the Connectivity_SYS, Plsqlap_Record_API and Plsqlap_Server_API api packages. Then also set up the correct transformers, rules and adresses in the solution manager. Something important I am missing? Furthermore, I noticed some functions in IFS Developer Studio, which is called BizAPI Model and Transformer Model. Is this something that can be used for this purpose? I don’t find the documentation especially helpful, so it would be great with some help to get started. Some examples would also be great.  Is there other things I need to keep in mind while setting up the integration?   

Hi, we have recently installed UPD16 on our Apps 9 environment. Since the install we are unable to run a custom menu where we select 2 lines are selected. We have a custom field that ruins on the customer order line and takes you to the inventory part in stock.    Previously we could select multiple lines but now we cant. The RMB is greyed out. It only works when one line is selected. Please see working example before the update and example after the update. You help is much appreciated.    Regards, Gary 

I have a read only multiline  text field (4000). The  query to show data in this screen is something like this   select listagg(t.CF$_field1 || ' - ' || t.CF$_field2, CHR(13)) within group(order by cf$_part_no, cf$_site) from table_clv t This will show field value in a each separate line if I copy the result to notepad++, however the custom field on the screen does not show in separate lines Notepad++ 1233 - some test 1265 - adfadf   Ifs shows below   Is there any way to solve this problem?

We have managed to configure the TAS server and are able to send work stream notifications and messages but nothing else. Is there any security or event configuration I have to set up to be able to use the notify me app?? I was hoping it would be just a matter of the user being able to log on and base functionality would allow them to see anything assigned to them.   Help appreciated  

Hi All I would love to know how you backup your IFS_HOME on the Application Server before applying an IFS Patch or IFS Patch Update? For clarity, I am running IFS version 9 on a Windows Server environment. Now I have never needed to restore the IFS home after a failed update in our current version of IFS (did I just say that!?), so this has led me to wonder if my post patch safety net will save me in my time of need? I have in the past intended to back up the IFS home, using 7-zip (due to crazy path and file name lengths that windows cant handle). When I get to do this, during our tight window of opportunity, it just takes way too long. FYI: It is 23Gb in size. So I don’t bother and decide to rely upon the seemingly effortless Virtual server snapshot taken by our super network boys…… Now is this going to cut the mustard when/if my patch fails? We have successfully completed a DR exercise using these backups/snapshots, so it should work? Even if I did wait for the zip backup of the IFS

Hi,   I am trying to change the label name of Page from Page Designer as well as from Navigator Designer. I dont want to publish the changes, I want to first see from my user id (IFSAPP). After doing the changes i am saving but not publishing the changes. What I am experiencing is when I am restarting the Aurena or refreshing the page, changes are not reflecting in UPD 8.    When I was doing in Upd 6, changes were reflecting to me after refreshing of pages but when when I am doing in UPD8 I always have to publish the changes. To make the changes effective is this has become mandatory to publish in UPD 8. Please confirm.   Thanks and Cheers  

Is it possible to create a new search domain in Apps10? I'd like to add the Supplier for Purchase Part. So if someone is searching a part number, the supplier's part number will be included with the search. 

Hi Guys I know this is not recommendable but one of the Customers inquired if it is possible to hide few rows under Quotation history based on associated custom object criteria? For example-  in below screenshot can we hide bottom two rows under Quotation history tab (highlighted in yellow) where Custom Object- Comm Method is null- possibly using check/uncheck box?     Thanks in advance
