What are different licensing cost in ifs10? Is it user based or employee based? What is best way to have minimum cost?

Hi all, How do you build your permission sets? In the past we have granted things directly to the Enduser (EU) role. Are there any downside of this? What is the meaning of using Functional (F) roles? Now we have tried to make 1 F-role for every view/menu.Granted presentation/database -objects / activities to these F-roles, and connected them to the EU role.Found out that this was too complicated/detailed and we also experienced the “oracle 148 role limit” due to this. Any best practices or examples of this? Thanks in advance! Regards,K.

Hi All,     Kindly some one guides us that how can use Segregation of duties in Aurena.

Is there a way that a default ‘From’ email can be assigned by Company? We have multiple companies set up and when a report/document is emailed to a customer or supplier, it needs to be from the No Reply email for that company? Example :Company ABC    default email = noreply@companyabc.comCompany EFG    default email = noreply@companyefg.comIf I send an invoice from Company ABC it needs to use the default email for Company ABC.

We are starting an IFS upgrade and will need an SSL Certificate. Are there tools available in IFS for creating a certificate request?

We are rolling out EDI using IFS and have come across and issue with custom fields.  Standard .XML tags apparently do not handle $ sign.  All of IFS’s standard custom field attribute configuration uses $ in the field name, i.e. ( CF$_SP_ATTENTION, CF$_SP_SHPPING_ACCT).  Below you can see the two fields created on the incoming customer order screen: The .xml file sent from our EDI integrator is showing  below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>-<ORDERS xmlns="urn:ifsworld-com:schemas:inbound_distribution_transactions_create_customer_order_request"><CURRENCY_CODE>USD</CURRENCY_CODE><CUSTOMER_COMPANY_COUNTRY>USA</CUSTOMER_COMPANY_COUNTRY><CUSTOMER_COMPANY_NAME>Webstaurant Store</CUSTOMER_COMPANY_NAME><CUSTOMER_POSTAL_ADDRESS>2205 OLD PHILADELPHIA PIKE,,,,USA</CUSTOMER_POSTAL_ADDRESS><EAN_LOCATION_DOCUMENT_ADDRESS>23-1855710</EAN_LOCATION_DOCUMENT_ADDRESS><EAN_SUPPLIER_DOCUMENT_ADDRESS>39-0792349</EAN_SUPP

Where can we get the details of all database task which comes with IFS installation? I have tried to find it on F1 help but did not get details for all the tasks.

Hi, The documentation of the webservice createCustomerOrder shows the possibility to make use of custom fields via the Attributes. However I can't figure out how to use it. Does anyone here have experience with that? Documentation. We are running IFS 10 UDP8.

Hi All, Am trying to add a read only custom field in posting proposal page in Aurena. Hi, We’re having a lot of issues with profiles in our environment.  We’re currently in IFS Apps 10, Upd. 4.  We have our Dev upgraded to Upd 7, and have been testing, but are unsure if the following issue has been fixed yet.   We have an environment that consists of around 180 active users, and around 1-2x per week, I receive a ticket like this: I started keeping a log, and as you can see it’s not super consistent, but there are some paterns:     In order to fix the issue, I just go into their personal profile and delete the settings for the page they’re receiving the error on. For example, for “Nic G”, I opened his personal profile, deleted “tbwExpenseHead”, and the problem was resolved.  The reason this works, is because the custom field seemingly randomly hides itself, and deleting the personal profile settings for that page makes the base profile settings take effect for the page.  At first we thought maybe it was caused from IFS crashing (another issue we are dealing with frequent

We are feeling our way around Aurena.  This is currently Apps 10 UPD 9.  When I am in the Page Designer mode my Page Configuration appears fine:However when I leave the page designer I get this: I have tried unpublishing , publishing, signing off after each change I made and I cant seem to shake this issue.  I have granted the projection to a role that I am a part of as well. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello All, I have been looking online and I have not found any clear answer on this topic. Is it possible to schedule a Saved Search to export to an excel format? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking into creating permission sets for Aurnea Users, but am unsure of what has to be done in IFS Enterprise Explorer, or what has to be done through Aurnea only, and if there is any overlap in functionality. I’m looking for a general understating of what is Aurena specific, IFS EE specific, and what actions in regards to permission sets apply to both client types. I have outlined some of my questions below: Is the permission setting of Projections and pages for Aurnea done strictly in Aurnea, or is there some aspect of it that needs to be done in IFS EE. Can I setup permission sets for Aurnea only users without using IFS EE? If not what has to be done in IFS EE?If I allow a user Full access to an Aurnea Projection/page (through a permission set) does it permit the same access to the Enterprise Explorer page? (ex: Change Orders in Aurnea, and in EE).Is there some way to grant universal CRUD access for users to both Aurnea and EE at the database level? ex. Allowing a user to delet

Hello.I have created a new permission set and am modifying the ‘Entity Action Grants’ through the Projection Grants window for the ChangeRequestHandling Projection I have added to my permission set. (See image below). I am trying to restrict certain CRUD functionality for a specific entity (EcoRequest). I want to allow Update, but disallow Create and Delete functionality. Is there a way to currently do this in Aurena, or even in Enterprise Explorer? All I seem to be able to do is grant the full CRUD available. I’m using IFS version 10 Update 10. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Hi All,We are testing in Aurena and finding that we are getting errors on basic functions. For example, when I use the navigator to navigate to Business Opportunity I instantly get an error. Here is the error we are seeing with the code below. Any help would be appreciated! I feel like this is something that needs to be fixed by IFS as it’s not a permission/projection issues since I have full access.  Edit: We are in Apps 10 Update 7    Url (parameters excluded) = https://ifs10prodapp.proconex.frco.com:48080/main/ifsapplications/web/page/BusinessOpportunity/OpportunityDetailPageError stack:Bad metadata error:The list: OpportunityLinesList does not exist in dictionary!Error: Bad metadata error:The list: OpportunityLinesList does not exist in dictionary!    at t (https://ifs10prodapp.proconex.frco.com:48080/main/ifsapplications/web/main.c6369494312e91b16483.js:1:3405823)    at Ec.getByType (https://ifs10prodapp.proconex.frco.com:48080/main/ifsapplications/web/main.c6369494312e91b16483.js

When I execute “Application Monitoring” - “PL/SQL Access Provider configuration test” is returning 0 instead of 1 (SELECT Plsqlap_Server_API.Ping_Result__ FROM sys.dual) I checked connection string, ACL and SSL setup and everything seems OK and rest of IFS is working fine (except IFS Business Reporting report ordering). I started Debug log while executing Plsqlap_Server_API.Ping_Result__ and it shows timeout from AQ.Any idea what can be problem? 6^283439910^FRAMEWORK^DEBUG^Framework^Invoking operation through AQ...12^283439914^FRAMEWORK^INFORMATION^Framework^Batch_Processor_Jms_API: Dbms_AQ.Enqueue on [BATCH_PROC_QUEUE_MAIN] completed in [.02] sec10^283441415^FRAMEWORK^DEBUG^Framework^Timeout [15 sec] occured while waiting for [1125193]12^283441415^CALLSTACK^DEBUG^^__anonymous_block at line 5PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.PING_RESULT__ at line 715PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.INVOKE_RECORD_ at line 573PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.INVOKE___ at line 1975PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.INVOKE_AQ___ at line 1839PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.INVO

Hi, I noticed that we have a lot of failed Application Messages, but I never investigated what the cause is and what effects are. Can someone explain what the cause, effects and solution is? See the screenshots below. Kind regards,Simon

Has anyone setup EDI or XML transactions with a 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) Company?   Would you be willing to share your experience of how the project went or how you transfer data back and forth from the 3PL.
