Hello There is a Oracle error when I open a zip file on import configuration windows .ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: Bulk Bind: Truncated BindIt’s about a Custom Event  nammed “0^FGAEVQUA004^MrbPartInspection”I checked parameter “Define the characters which should not appear in key fields” , it contains “(..)&%_<>=;~”The event already exist in an application package .Thanks for your help

Hoping someone can shed some light on this situation. I have a user that brought this up - whenever they are trying to print a Crystal report, the Print dialog box always default selects “Microsoft Print to PDF”, instead of the Windows default printer (shown as “Front Office” with green default checkmark below). Her IFS Printer Definition settings are also set to default to this office printer. I even checked on our IFS Print Agent server - and the default printer is another office device.  Does anyone know what might be the reason for this, and whether it can be changed?  

I have tried to change the standard IFS logo to the company logo but it is not appearing.   Please advise.

Hi, I was able to create  my first connection object and I had to create my own transformation method, following guidelines found in OpenIFS forum. When I tested it (with the Test transformation option ) , I got a successful status. But it does not work on the target LU. What is the best way to debug this problem ? Haven’t found anything in the Debug console.   Thanks   Michael

Is there a way to capture the email address or display name of the person that sent an email when the email is picked up by IFS’s connect mail reader?  I’m working on creating an auto-update process for Call Center cases, I have set up a Mail Reader to watch an account and I can read in the message body of the email, but so far haven’t found how to tell where the email was sent from.  Has anyone found a way to do that?

We have started to email invoices to our customers, but we also print invoices.Am struggling to show the business which invoices went via email/which print but not sure the best way to do this. Any thoughts?Only thing I can think of is to query the application messages - but its quite a manual process.Thanks

Hi,We are looking at SOX/SOD and some of the IFS system user accounts are appearing in the report due to the level of access they have.IFSPRINT currently has the IFSAPP_ALL permission set assigned which i think is a standard IFS permission set supplied as part of install. Does anyone know what actual access does this user account require in IFS?IFSWEBCONFIG has FND_WEBCONFIG permission set assigned which has access to vast areas of the system.Again do we know what this is used for and what level of access this actually needs?Thanks in advance

Hello,Our users are complaining about the reduced contrast due to available text color.In IFS 8, our users are used to a luminous, strong red for editable text and a luminous, strong blue for non-editable text. Comparing the available sallow colors, this results in a lot less contrast in IFS 10 screens.Is there any possibility to change the coloring themes of available colours to some more luminous colors to improve contrast. I know, there is a Graphite or High Contrast theme, but that is though to get used to.Thanks JohannesIFS 8 color settingIFS 10 color settingIFS 8 text coloringIFS 10 text coloring 

Hi,I wanted to enquire if it was possible to create an event that was triggered when a file was stored in EDM (File Repository) and then send an email using IFS Connect Routing Rules/Addresses with the email attached or a path to the file stored in the body of the email? I can see the routing address for email has an attachment name parameter. Is it also possible to pass a TO address to the routing destination dynamically?

Hi again,I’m looking for a way to lock project activities once they are released.When a project is released I’m creating a document containing all data from the project to have reference on what was aggred upon when it was released.That will be added as an attached document to the project under revision control.The problem is, the activities are not revision controled, so you can edit the activities after it has been released.Is there any way revision control project activities like we can with order lines or documents?

Hi,I’m looking for a way to lock project activities once they are completed. If an activity gets completed, It gets a completed date. But you can reopen it, an then completed again and then you’ll have a new date. I need the first complete date as a reference.How would you do that?

For quicker testing I wanted to take the XML output from a program, reformat to CSV (easier to read) and e-mail it to myself. All straight forward except the last part. The routing Address lets me transform the file and send it to be e-mailed but I am having trouble with specifying the e-mail address. I put it in %RECEIVER% and it gets passed through OK except that the To Address on the e-mail is %RECEIVER% and not my e-mail address. The %SENDER% is translated for the Attachment name as expected. Is this a bug, or am I using the wrong syntax somewhere. Please forgive if there are no screenshots as they managed to disappear when I tried including some on another post :(

Good Morning, I have a Crystal Report which utilizes an IAL I created. When I run the report as IFSPRINT or IFSAPP in PLSQL or CRYSTAL Reports the data is returning correctly. However, when I attempt to run the report in IFS Quick Reports no data is returned. I thought it may have been permissions however, I thought if that was so, when I ran it as IFSPRINT in Crystal Reports it would also have thrown the same error message? I’ve also checked the views within the IAL and the accessibility seems to be correct.Example below, this is a report that just displays a company ID while logged in as IFSPRINT.Crystal ReportsIFS Quick Reports Permissions for IAL and view:

Hey all the sql experts out there...I am trying to pivot 2 fields using the IFS budget_period_amount1_cfv  view (custom view created with one extra field).  I keep getting an oracle error: ORA-00198: column ambiguously defined on the first line.  It works fine when pivoting one field, but when adding another field in the same table (custom field), I get the error.  Here is the statement:select * from(select account as "Account", account_desc as "Account Desc", budget_period,amount,cf$_sp_actual_costs,budget_year as "Year", code_d as "Dept" from budget_period_amount1_cfv where code_d like nvl(upper('&Dept'),'%')and budget_year like nvl(upper('&Year'),'%') and budget_version = 2)pivot(sum(amount),sum(cf$_sp_actual_costs) for budget_period in (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12)) Any ideas on the problem?Thanks!     

Hi Is it any easy way to identify UPD version in IFS Applications 9?IFS10 contains information about UPD in Menu\Help but not IFS9.I know how to query module_tab but another option is required for enduser with limited access.BSPiotr

I would like to schedule a quick report to run daily.  Can this be done in Apps8?Most of the examples I am finding are for 9 or 10. 

On a custom LU, I’d like to create a read-only reference field to expose MY_CLT.ROWVERSION in the client presentation. Expressions or SQL statements against t.rowversion or v.objversion don’t appear to work. Is there a way to show this field to the users, short of creating another persistent field?(My preference would be a solution that exposes the field without intermediate functions so the database can honor an index on it.)
