Hi All,We have a request to update an existing part.Currently the part’s Lot/Batch tracking has setup as ‘Not Lot Tracking’ and need to update to ‘Order Based’. When we try to do this we are getting an error ‘The part exists in inventory with Not Lot Tracking’ because we can see data in Inventory part in stock.Kindly advise me to how to proceed with this.I really appreciate if you can give me your opinion.

Hello Community , I need to know about MDM(Master data management) tool .where it can be used.why it can be used. Is it present in IFS .If present can we use it .Is it recommended to use.

I need a ‘Right-Click’ action that calls an external API endpoint using an API key. Here’s the scenario:We have created a custom logical unit table that stores incoming prospect information from our website displayed in a grid. I have created a custom context menu option (Push to Salesforce) that pops up correctly, but what I need to do is attach an action to that click that pulls specific column data from the row, and calls the API endpoint (https://test.endpointurl.com/v1/customer/{person_id}). It’s a GET method that accepts the PERSON_ID from the data row that was clicked. I’ve found a few posts that discuss how to call the REST API using the PL/SQL BLOCK method, but none address my two specific challenges:How to implement the API Key, not basic or bearer authorization How to pass column data into the parametersAny guidance would be appreciated.

Hi All,I wanted to add another condition to an existing crystal report, so I have created one new view which includes those existing views.I tried to update existing views using Set Datasource Location, because I wanted to keep the same layout. But it doesn’t remove the previous links between those views.Is there any other way to remove previous links?  Thank you!

Hi all,I am trying to activate an event action that send the report “Customer Statement of Account” to the customers email address. But I am having a hard time getting it to work. All the parameters starting with pdf_ are blank. Is there any documentation for the parameters?

Customer is using IFS 8 SP1+ with 2 managed server with an external load balancer.Customer is getting error in random timing “Database session has been expired. Please restart client application” on many screens.Customer is configured with Dedicated session timeout is 7200, Ideal time parameter of Oracle profile is set to unlimited. Tried reconfiguring and restarting the application server and database. By passing load balancer also we get the same issue. Database is running on RAC.Does anyone came  across same issue or to identify the issue where else we can check for this timeout parameter apart from above mentioned.Answer on the below post didn't help my situation:There is no specific error in the Application and database logs.

I want to setup a migration job (in IFS 10 update 11) to update a Custom Persistent Field on the Inventory Part.I read – and followed - the recommendations in Topic https://community.ifs.com/framework-experience-infrastructure-cloud-integration-dev-tools-50/updating-custom-field-via-script-1728 and everything seems OK, but the record is not updated. Set up a Jobof type MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA, with Source Name INVENTORY_PART_CFV and - for testing purposes - scoped to one PartNo (which exists and is manually updatable – checked) Rule ADDOBJID is set to Inactive: Method list is as follows with a call to INVENTORY_PART_CFP.CF_Modify__I did a debug of a manual update, which gives me the following information:DECLARE   -- p0 -> __lsResult   p0_ VARCHAR2(32000) := NULL;   -- p1 -> __sObjid   p1_ VARCHAR2(32000) := 'AAAWZEAAGAAAKNLAAA';   -- p2 -> __g_Bind.s[0]   p2_ VARCHAR2(32000) := 'CF$_C_DELIVERY_ADDRESS'||chr(31)||'CD6ECD1F20B5485CB11B55F6B8FF4E3D'||chr(30);   -- p3 -> __lsAttr

Hello everyone,I want to configure a standard projection.I wanted to add an entity, only I have this error message when adding:However, no entity has been created:  Did I forget something?Thanks for your help.

Hi all,APPS 10 Upd11.Between the early morning hours we are having new instances of both the timeclock machines logging out or being sluggish and throwing out error messages.They work fine throughout the day time so between 12am - 6am they are “misbehaving”. We have a nightshift operation so its rather essential that timeclock works. This morning the timeclock logged out completely.It is not being caused by scheduled windows updates.Any thoughts or ideas to debug this? So far i’ve only got these two error messages to go by;

Hi Community,We have a customer who’s planning to upgrade their on-prem Apps8 environments to IFS 21R2 or whichever the latest version and will be hosted in IFS (IFS managed) on high level my plan is as below as far as technical aspect is concerned;Upgrade current Apps8 database to Apps10 latest UPD on-premUpgrade Apps10 database to Cloud whatever the latest release on-prem“Migrate”  on-prem environment to IFS managed cloud.  Has anyone been in a similar situation before or can recommend what’s best for the upgrade project would be much appreciated.

Hi Community, We were just made aware of a severe vulnerability in the Java logging library Apache Log4j.See the following article for more information:https://www.zdnet.com/article/security-warning-new-zero-day-in-the-log4j-java-library-is-already-being-exploited Please note that we are using IFS Apps 9 and if Apps 9 supports latest version of Crystal Reports runtime? The latest version of Crystal Reports runtime has removed this vulnerability.  Best RegardsAsanga

I am trying to understand what permissions need to be granted for the “Print Shipment Delivery Note” right mouse button (RMB) to be allowed on the Shipment screen (Sales → shipping → Shipment Delivery → Shipment)  Is there a way to determine which permissions/conditions need to be met for built in RMBs to be enabled?

I tried to use the 'initcontext' of the 'page' to define url parameters. The problem is, that I have no idea how to put the parameter into the url. According to this link, I've built this so far:page CCtiLandingPage using PhoneNumbers { initcontext PrepareNumber;}initcontext PrepareNumber { parameter NumberRaw Text; init command { execute { info("${NumberRaw}"); } }}The most obvious variant didn't work:[...]/main/ifsapplications/web/page/CCtiLandingPage/CCtiLandingPage?NumberRaw=’123’As a result, I get an empty info box.Can someone tell me how to write this URL to pass the parameter?IFS Aurena framework version: 10.13.19.0IFS Aurena client version: 10.13.120.0IFS OData provider version: 10.13.1.0

Hi I'm having problems with using projections included in Compatibility Application Type.  I am getting 401 when I try to access the integration links (*/int/*) or when I try to access the API Doc for "Compatibility Application Type".  The projections in question have been included in Compatibility Application Type through the API Explorer.The user has permission to access the projections and I can use the projections through Aurena just fine (the */main/* links). We are using IFS Apps 10 update 8.Our setup uses Active Directory through a ADFS server for user authentication.   What we have tried so far:Tried using the IFS (db) user directly for authentication (Basic auth). This returns 401. As I understand this should work out-of-the-box right?   Tried setting up "Active Directory Authenticator" for "INTEGRATIONS & COMPATIBILITY" using this guide: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/Foundation1/040_administration/210_security/015_authentication/050_configure_compatibility/. And afterward

After applying  21R2 (21.2.1)  we cannot execute any report. Get error ‘Database Error occurred” Is this a known issue? How can I fix this?

We use LDAP for user authentication against Active Directory. We've found that when a user's password contains a space or a period, IFS won't let them log in, even when their password is correct.1. What is the full list of characters that aren't allowed?2. Is there a way to configure this to work?

Hi,I checked the related posts in community but, I couldn't find what I wanted.I want to send an order report by e-mail when any process starts or continues. e.g; When the approval process for the sales quotation is completed, the quotation report will be sent to the relevant parties by e-mail.How do I add and send order reports in email? Can anyone help?I can generate the report with the following plsql commands, but I cannot send it as an e-mail attachment.DECLARE layout_name_ VARCHAR(2000) := 'OrderQuotationRep.rdl'; report_id_ VARCHAR2(2000) := 'ORDER_QUOTATION_REP'; report_attr_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; parameter_attr_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; quotation_no_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; line_no_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; rel_no_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; result_key_ VARCHAR2(2000); distribution_list_ VARCHAR2(2000) := ''; print_attr_ VARCHAR2(2000) := '';BEGIN client_sys.add_to_attr('REPORT_ID', report_id_, report_attr_); client_sys.add_to_attr('LAYOUT_NAME', l

Hello, I have a custom field on the “Mixed Payment” logical unit.I have an event that triggers when a mixed payment is changed. What would be the best practise to edit a custom field tied to this same mixed payment that is being changed ?From what I could find, I can update the custom field via the MIXED_PAYMENT_CFP package calling the mixed_payment_cfp.cf_modify__ method.However, I need to provide the OBJID field of the mixed payment, which isn’t available part of the event attributes. As a work around, I am getting the OBJID with a cursor and passing it to the modify which then caused mutating table errors.I went around it using the instruction “PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION” but I was wondering if there was a better way? I am on apps9.

Experimenting with Powerapps… and IFS Actions, for example a status change.We have seen the “error while de-serializing contents” issue in many threads, and the answer is that we have to submit an empty JSON body like {}.  I’m just not seeing how to do this in Powerapps. This example works for the Lead/SetParked action, which does take a body: But the Lead/SetUnqualified action does not take a body.If i do something like this, Powerapps does not submit a body and so we get the error while deserializing contents issue. There must be some syntax in Powerapps that allows us to specify that an empty body {} should be submitted.  Any ideas how we do that?

Morning everyone!I’m part of a company that’s currently in-process developing our IFS solution, and as the data admin I’ve run into a particular problem that I’m hoping someone might be able to advise me on.  As part of workshops we’ve been told by the IFS consultants that we should be using the logical unit IDs as a functional part of the workflow processes.  For example, a part number could be used as a reference across multiple parts of the business, having to do with inventory, shipping, R&D, etc… As the data admin, I’m a little concerned about this.  I’d like to list a few things I’ve noticed during this process that led me to my concern.  Please correct me if I’m wrong, because these are only my current understandings, and I could be mistaken! 1 - The IDs for at least some objects can’t be (or shouldn’t be) defaulted.  Using Parts as an example, a user would be asked to enter the part number they wish to use when creating the master part record.  There’s no way to inject a de
