Framework & Experience (Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, Dev Tools)

Hi All,Does anyone know how top horizontal bar with name (DEVELOPMENT) appears/sets up?Looks like this only appears in Chrome browser. This is NOT related to Appearance Designer settings or Broadcast messages.

Does IFS Enterprise Explorer have any logs that would show how long a user was logged in for a particular day?

Hi everyone, Still a bit of a newbie on IFS Developer Studio… seeing if I’m missing something obvious. I downloaded the BuildHome from our Build Place with the desire to bring the core files onto my local drive for import into my project.  I selected the “model” directory in the build-home and it set the files to read only and all the components were displayed.  When I go to expand a component, I get the following error:Cannot invoke “org.netbeans.api.project.Project.getLookup()” because “project” is null Cloud version is 26R1SU1Developer Studio 18 (Build 26.2.1308)

Hi Everyone,We are using IFS Cloud (25R1 and 26R3) and have an integration that sends data to an external REST API through an Application Message using a CONNECT routing rule. When the external API returns an error or the connection fails, the Application Message automatically enters a Retry state and continues attempting to resend the request.I would like to understand if there is a way to prevent automatic retries when an error occurs.Ideally, I would like the Application Message to move directly to a Failed state rather than continuing to retry.A few questions:Is there a configuration setting in IFS Cloud that controls the retry behaviour for outbound REST messages? Can automatic retries be disabled for a specific routing rule or integration without affecting other integrations? Is it possible to configure certain errors to immediately fail while allowing retries for temporary connection issues?Any guidance on where these settings can be configured would be greatly appreciated.Thank yo

Hi All,I’m trying to add a workflow command to execute on multiple records on a List page.I added the command on the List level so it will be visible for multiple selection Attempt 1:Add the key values from the contextResult:WF executed only for the last selected record Then I tried several different variable formats and then this error happens. Error is coming from the client and no server call occurs.Error looks promising but I couldn’t find any documentation regarding how to do it.Can someone guide on how to add command variables for multiple selection of records?Tested in 24.1.4@Lahirumala de Mel

There are a few scenarios where we would want to schedule a workflow to run periodically. One in particular - Where the users have an LTU, they cannot do much with a workflow due to the limitations on the permission set.  The workaround i have to use is to “schedule the BPA”, so that it runs as a different user with high privileges.  As long as we have the LTU concept, we are going to have to do this to solve customer requirements. So, it would be good to have a proper approach to support scheduling a BPA.  Currently we have to mess around setting up a dummy migration job so that we can use the job scheduler there.  This is confusing to customers, looks pretty unprofessional and introduces a lot of baggage such as the need to import/export migration jobs.It would be quite straightforward to enable scheduling a BPA via Scheduled tasks.  The method bpa_sys.register_async_bpa would work fine, but is not considered “schedulable” because the package ends in _sys, not _api.  So it is not possi

Dear developers,my goal is to create a list of all background jobs with a status of 'warning' within a week and send this list via email to a user. To achieve this, I wrote an SQL code and put it in a custom event. In this case I don’t need the custom event trigger.Or can I just use a condition in my SQL code? How can I handle it? Thank you in advance.

Hi Team,We are on IFS cloud 25R1, We are creating a work flow action from work tasks, when you click a Send Email button it opens an input with 3 fields - EmailTo, EmailSubject and EMailBody.Currently we are using “String” for email body. The problem we have is that it only allows a single line entry and the moment a user hits enter the email is sent.We Tried changing the eMail body to “Text” instead of String, but when we publish it the field does not even appear. Do you know how we could get this as a multi line field?

Hi all,Does anyone know why this error message:{"errors":[{"code":null,"message":"TraceId : dc76f65b1d29546022461b6d9476f4eb"},{"code":null,"message":"Failed to execute automation. Error in step [Upload PDF - post virtual]: An internal server error occurred. Contact administrator. Error while uploading file to IFS FSS"}]}comes up when uploading doing the post call to upload an externally generated PDF into the print archive? I am following this procedure:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r1/050_reporting/000_reporting/251_operational_reporting/001_report_design/010_operational_reports/400_external_reporting_gateway/I checked this post but despite following the documentation the error persists:Thanks in advance,Roel

Hi everyone,Did anyone experiencing an internal server error while logging into IFS Cloud? It happens randomly even with initial load on IFS Cloud. Sometimes refreshing the page doesn't work. The user needs to restart the browser or navigate back to the startup page and log in again. Is this a cache issue?  We are using Google Chrome. Are there any tricks to get rid of this? Thanks!

Hi,We are using Aurena Agent and this gives us possibility to print on physical printers. We can set default printer for logical printers, but is it possible to pre-define physical printer to be default printer and the “default” printer will be filled out in Print Dialog by default? The printer is already defined as default printer on this PC, but it does not help. “No Printout” is filled out in Print Dialog. Can set up Print Dialog so it will “remember” the last used/selected printer?I think PrintDialog “remembered” the last used printer in earlier versions of IFS Cloud (22R1-23R1) but not after the last update (23R2Su5).Br. We are currently using IFS Cloud 25R1 and are experiencing an issue with an outbound REST PATCH request.I am developing an integration that needs to send a simple PATCH request to a Salesforce endpoint. The PL/SQL block I am using is shown below.DECLARE   headers_       PLSQLAP_Document_API.Document;   url_params_    PLSQLAP_Document_API.Document;   message_id_    NUMBER; salesforce_id_ VARCHAR2(18) := '1111';    payload_       CLOB :=      TO_CLOB('{"ERP_Account_Status__c":"Approved"}');BEGIN   headers_ :=      PLSQLAP_Document_API.New_Document('HEADER_PARAMS');   PLSQLAP_Document_API.Add_Attribute(      headers_,      'Content-Type',      'application/json'   );   PLSQLAP_Document_API.Add_Attribute(      headers_,      'Accept',      'application/json'   );   PLSQLAP_Document_API.Add_Attribute(      headers_,      'X-HTTP-Method-Override',      'PATCH'   );   url_params_ :=      PLSQLAP_Document_API.New_Document('URL_PARAMS');   PLSQLAP_Document_API.Add_Attribute(      url_params_,

We are currently working on the upgrade from IFS V8 to IFS Cloud 23R2. We have events actions for sending e-mail notification to users with an IFS URL.So, we were forced to update all this navigation URL to be in accordance with Cloud version. Example of an URL added in an event action : https://uat1.ifs.asf.pri/main/ifsapplications/web/page/ChangeRequest/Form;$filter=RequestNo eq $REQUEST_NO$This kind of URL is working smoothly but only for the related environment. The issue we are facing is that as we are on a test environnement and not on the PROD environment, the beginning of the URL is working today but it will not work tomorrow in the PROD environment as it will not be the same. Consequently, to avoid modifications on all events actions containing an URL, we would like if it possible to use a dynamic URL that will change depending on a variable which will be, in our case, the system URL value entered in the system parameters.  Thanks for your help

In a Nutshell: IFS Cloud Web DevTools was working fine last week for me, but out of the blue I logged into my computer today to do some debugging and the “Network” pane (in Logs) is not producing ANY output. And YES, I have selected “Debug DevTools link” in my IFS instance.  How do you normally troubleshoot this? any ideas other than un-install/re-install the extension?I’m running Web DevTools 1.2.8I am pretty sure this is not the Web DevTools, there must be something wrong between my data collection and the browser because the IFS Inspector (another add-on used for similar purpose) is also NOT collecting Server side Network activity.I’m running Edge Version 153.0.4234.48 Thanks for your ideas… I have explored everything I thought could cause it to no avail so far!

Hi Team, I am using the send email functionality from the custom projection(using the command_sys.send email) in the workflow and the email thing works fine but the body text alignment is showing everything in the same line Is there a way to control this alignement to include the spacing  ex: Hi XXXX, This is to inform regarding the new supplier creation. Please review the details below supplier id: XXXXcreated by: XXXXX The email it triggers shows like this and looks odd when reading the emailHi XXXX, This is to inform regarding the new supplier creation. Please review the details below supplier id: XXXX created by: XXXXX any inputs would be appreciated Regards,Rakesh

HelloAccording to the technical documentation, there should be a predefined permission set called “FND_HISTORY_LOG_AUDITOR” in IFS Cloud version 25R1.However, we do not have it.We would need this, though, as we have received a request from the business departments to access the history log.We are not, however, permitted to grant FND_ADMIN to the business departments.Best Regards,André

Hi All,Is it still not possible to individually grant/revoke CUD actions for an entity?Say, when we grant CustomerOrderHandling, Role A wants to Create Customer Orders and Role B wants update Customer Orders but not create.Looks like Actions - Create, Update - are bundled together so not possible. Any workarounds please?Events?Modification?Page Designer? TIA.

We're investigating an intermittent issue with Payment Advice reports in IFS Cloud and I'm curious if anyone has seen similar behavior. Most payment advices generate and email correctly, but occasionally a supplier receives a blank PDF.What we're seeingFor a recent example The supplier received a blank Payment Advice PDF by email. When I locate the same payment advice in IFS and use Print Preview, the report renders correctly with all expected data. The XML dataset appears valid and populated. Other suppliers in the same payment run were unaffected.Report Archive observationsIn the Report Archive, I'm seeing two documents created for what appears to be the same payment advice. The records have:Different Print Job IDs The same Result Key (1463084) The same PDF size (324,208 bytes)This makes it look like the document was generated or requested twice. The strange partThe email attachment received by the supplier is named:Payment_Advice_1463085.pdfHowever, Result Key 1463085 does not exist in

Getting the message below when trying to run “IFS: Select code generator target version: The bundled verification helper returned invalid output while checking ifs-dev-buildtasks.jar. The downloaded file was discarded and the existing code generator is unchanged. Anyone have any idea how to fix it? Thanks,

Hello,Has anyone configured the Prometheus instance included with IFS Cloud Monitoring to send Kubernetes metrics to an Azure Monitor Workspace using Prometheus remote_write?Our environment is running IFS Cloud 25.2.10 with IFS Monitoring installed. On the Azure side, we already have the Azure Monitor Workspace, DCR/metrics ingestion endpoint, and authentication resources configured. Our goal is to establish a real-time metrics pipeline from the IFS Kubernetes environment to Azure Monitor, so that the metrics can ultimately be visualized centrally in Azure Managed Grafana. We have experimented with the grafana-azureprometheus-datasource plugin and with modifying the Prometheus configuration, but without success. We would prefer not to modify generated ConfigMaps or Prometheus resources directly, as these changes may be overwritten when the IFS Monitoring Helm deployment is reapplied or upgraded.Ideally, we are looking for a supported way to add something equivalent to:prometheus:  promet

Hi Team,I downloaded the latest version of IFS Remote(ifs-remote-3.0.21.zip), and the default Ingress Controller in the template is still NGINX.When I use NGINX, the installation completes successfully. However, I encountered an issue when using Traefik.Could you please confirm whether Traefik is officially supported by the latest version of IFS Remote? Apart from changing the Ingress Controller to Traefik, are there any additional configuration changes or prerequisites required? Please check the log which shows the failed installation using Traefik.Thank you.

Hello everyone,I was excited when they announced that in 25R1 users can be granted permissions to execute workflows on projections they normally do not have access to - see here: However I don’t seem to be able to make it work. I have a very simple test workflow run by clicking a button just reading from a projection not normally accessible to the basic user, I granted Internal access (also tried Full access out of frustration) for the workflow for the relevant permission set and I still get the FndProjectionGrant.SRV_NOT_ACCESS error.Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Or were you able to make it work? I couldn’t find any posts on this topic, which suggests to me I might be doing something wrong...

Is it just me or is anyone else on 26 frustrated by the fact that the ‘Today’ shortcut has been buried off a side arrow along a From/To field in the Date Range section  ?  Official explanation is  …“The 26R1 date search redesign was introduced with the specific goal of simplifying the overall experience.”Linda
