Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

Hi,We have recently upgraded our DEV and TEST PSO environments to V6.12.0.15.All good apart from not being able to have the IFS Scheduling Gateway and the Default Website running at the same time.The previous version V6.8.0.21 we didn’t have any issues. But this came to light with some server patching and the server being bounced. When back up the Gateway service wouldn’t start. The only way to start it was to stop the default website and then start the Gateway.Screen shot below shows the Gateway running, but the error message shown when the default website is attempted to be started. Do it the other way round and the error message is; The binding on https:8744 is in place, and was there before the upgrade and no issues at all.Anyone any idea’s why we’re seeing this, and what implications are there for the default website not to be running? On the server we have the Scheduling Gateway, the PSO Workbench and RestAPI’s would be elsewhere so there would be nothing on the Application Pools

Background:We at Electrolux implementing IFS FSM as our Field Service Management platform including FSM Mobile App for Field Service Technicians. Currently using FSM6u10. Requirement: I, as a service technician, want to be able to record spare parts I consumed/used on a consumer/customer site by simply scanning the barcode on the spare part packet, instead of manually typing the long 14 digits part id.Questions: Is the FSM Mobile App only supporting the Barcode Scanning functionality with a 3rd party free open source app for Android? Since the 3rd party app is no longer supported by original developers, how in future IFS would provide warranty support for the 3rd party open-source app since FSM product documentation doesn't specify if the 3rd-party software is supported i.e., maintenance support covered by IFS in case of product upgrades, android upgrades, etc. so to ensure the barcode scanning functionality continue to work. We have SLA Templates created and connected to Service Contracts and we want this to trigger when a Work Order is created.I can see in the Work Tasks the SLA Order Number is populated but the SLA Latest Finish Date does not pull with the calculated Finish Date to meet the SLA?Does anyone have any experience with SLAs that can help?Thanks,

Hi experts,While copy a request i need to copy request_unit table as well.We are having request copy map. At there i have added request_contact and request_unit table in table map. But its copying contact not request unit details in copying request.In request unit table we are having request_unit_id , model_id, part_id. It should have to copy these 3 columns while cI have added the screenshot of the copy map. 

Hi,Please can you tell what is usage of rank in response code and its usage in business rule 40?If one task has more than one time commitments how it will use rank to choose the time commitment?  

Good day I am having an issue with my Passive Preventative Maintenance task time commitments. When tasks are created from a contract they have two time commitments: one for now, and a second for a future time commitment. The task should be scheduled for the future time commitment, not for the “Now” time commitment. When removing the “Now” commitment, it also removes the tasks from PSO (which show all tasks, but as unallocated).  Is there a way to remove the time commitment that is scheduled for the “Now” time, and only keep the time commitment for future time, when generating tasks from a contract?

Dear Community,we would like to use the FSM in the offline mode - not on Mobile only but even on web client and I wanted to check with you whether you have the same requirement and if so, you have solved it. (I have seen it on the competitor solution from Microsoft and that would be lovely to have it similar available :) ) Best regards & thanks a lotMarkus

Dear All, I was editting the Description of a Service Catalog item. But the ‘Save’ button did not appear. In order to save I had to click on a different Service Catalog record after which IFS gave a pop-up “You have unsaved items - do you like to save?” Off course I clicked save. So there is a very easy work around for the issue but this remains a bug, correct? I’m using 23R1 SU5. Was this bug already fixed in a late SU? Or does it still exist in later versions? Best RegardsRoel   

Hi Experts,We have a PSO tenant integrated with IFS cloud, all information from the could is passing without an issue.But if I try to manually process a file dropping this into the Input folder, PSO is not picking it but the file can be seen still there.I have restarted all services also verified the Parameters as well connected to Input file but no change can be seen.What could causing this issue? Thanks,KM

Currently, we are looking for ways to consume PSO’s events as we are starting to see a ton happening daily. We would like an automated way of consuming these events as they are happening so we can categorize them (human error vs system) and trying to fix anything as quickly as we can. We have been told that Events can be consumed manually by downloading them from the Admin > Support or Admin > Events. Or their is an endpoint in the Restful gateway we could use, but querying them too frequently will have a performance impact. Could we have alternate methods for consuming System Events or Dataset Audits without impacting performance that be hit pretty frequently (every 5 or 10 or 15 mins)?

As there are many color/colour options in the PSO parameters that refer to Gantt chart colors, which specific one is it that is associated with the ‘selected’ option in picking a Resource/Shift (see image)?The gray of the selected Resource/shift row when you click on a Resource and then move the cursor to another Resource’s shift area the previously-highlighted gray looks so much like the shift color that it sometimes gets visually confused with someone having a shift when they don’t. We want to change this color so there’s no visual confusion between the selection color and shift colors. In the image, the selection row is the long grayed area after a Resource was selected and the cursor was moved off of that selection line, and the last two grayed items are actual shifts.We’ve experimented with changing various Gantt color options to bright pink so we can tell what was changed, but there are so many states we’re getting tired of guessing. Good morning, We are working for quite some time with the Remote Warehouse Assortment set-up, to refill our Remote Warehouse and it worked fine so far.But it works when we set-up the “Refill Point Qty” as 0 and the “Refill to Qty” as 1.When there is nothing available in the Remote Warehouse location it will generate a need and therefore a Purchase Requisition.Now we we want set it up differently and that is that the “Refill Point Qty” is on 1 and the “Refill to Qty” is on 2.How the information is read, it should now see a need of 1, because at this point the on hand Qty is 1 and the Plannable Qty is also 1. But when we run the “Refill All Putaway Zone” for this location we see in the Background Jobs that everything run perfectly, but we do not see any Purchase Requisitions popping up. Here is how the set-up was arranged.Do you know if this is a bug or that we have to change something ?We are on 22R2 SU7.Looking forward to your reply.

HI ,FSM mobile - We are using FSM 6.21 Version and New Debrief Review screen we are using in mobileWhenever Updating/Inserting the task signature id through Client Script TECH_SIGNATURE_ID isupdating as negative values and syncing takes long time Need  Suggestion. Hi Experts,I would like to have you input on following scenario.There is a situation where task gets completed from mobile with technician signature for some of the tasks randomly technician signature value comes as a negative value.As followsI have checked the server logs also but could not find any info on any error causing this issue.I feel like this can be a sync failure. It is really appriciated if you could provide any input on this how to track the issue. Thanks,Heshala.

I can see on the Resource Gantt chart in PSO, there is an option to add additional Custom Columns, including Additional Attribute.  What is the source of that column and how do you specify it?  Are the Additional Attribute from the Resource Attributes?  Is so, how do you format the expression to display the desired attribute? Trying add data here using Custom Columns, Additional Attributes.Are these Resource Attributes the source for Additional Attributes? 

When trying to filter audits by dataset, if I select that i want all databases and select one dataset it filters to only the scheduling database for the selected dataset. I can filter specifically to see only modelling or scheduling of the dataset but i can’t see both with showing all databases and datasets. Any else experiencing this issue? Is this a bug in the UI?

Hi,How can i easily filter the planned task with SLA & Out of SLA in the Gantt.Suppose i have planned 100 Jobs in FT queue, Out of which i may be having 40 INSLA & 60 Out of SLA.By applying filter in want to view INSLA Tasks in Gantt & Another filter it should show out of SLA in FT gantt.. Can you please let me know the selection in FiltersRegards,Shiyaz

Hi Experts,We would like PSO to display the Resource current location on the map. We can capture the current Lat and Long (GPS) of the resource then I am not sure how to feed this into PSO then under which parameters?Normally we keep/change fixed location details like Resource Start and End location but how we can handle the resource current GPS location data? Thank you,KM

There is a really useful menu item on the mobile in the screen designer - to do a refresh of the scripts from the server to the mobile client.Is there anyway to access this in any other way (without the users being studio license holders). At the moment we have to re-initialize their devices which is rather more intrusive than we’d like. Is there any other way of doing this? 

Select Return in the work task, select the target location, the from location drop-down option will appear, which field in the cloud is this from location?  from location Options Where does the data come from?  This is a required field，but  its no dataNormal returns in the ifs cloud do not have this option（from location）

Hi Experts, One of our customers has a requirement to track the time users spend on some screens in web client. They need this to monitor as a KPI. There are 4 screens they consider as,Lobby menuSchedule boardPerson list and Devices (Person table).They need to track the time users actively use these screens weekly basis. They need to track the transitions from screen to screen to track the exact time they spend on the screen. Is there any way we could achieve this requirement in web client. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,I plan to use Miscellaneous Resource Allocation Categories in Cloud for defining different types of absence categories. In PSO, all absences categories are shown with the same colour (e.g. orange when using Color Activities by Status).
