Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

Hello, We refreshed SIT with PRD data for FSM application, version 6.22. We updated Scheduling App Params, updated threesixty_dataset_id global code to SIT, updated the monitor schedule that advances the time in PSO, but we are unsure why the scheduling dataset still shows PSO-PRD. The resources are not showing up on the schedule workbench. We are getting no other errors when restarting or initializing the dataset in the scheduling manager. What do we need to do to get PSO workbench to show the resources, use the correct scheduling dataset and remove the old one?   

Is there any way to manage the FSM Mobile menu which is displayed on the left hand side of the screen when the device (a tablet in this case) is in landscape mode? We’d like to manage contents or disable entirely if that isn’t possible.We thought this was governed by the Debrief Menu but it appears not!Thanks  

Hi AllWe set the Part need status to Complete when we consider the part need as Obselete. However when we try to change address on the Place which has an Obselete records we get the following error, ‘Cannot change the address ID on a request that has part needs in a non-entered status.’ This is baseline error by FSM. Could we allow address changes although part need status was set to complete ? E.g. - App Param or custom business rules ?

I wonder if there is some parameter that makes week numbers shown in gantt schema.Hope you understands ;) best regardsLars s

Hi,Can anyone help me with Splitting Activities feature in PSO 6.9? it is connected to IFS Apps-10. I have done the setups in Activity Type in IFS\Scheduling Basic Data. Allow Multiple Visits is checked in Activity Type & Work Task as well. Cost of Split & Min Visit Duration is also used. But still i am not getting the expected result.Apart from the above i tried another way, where along with the above setup, i did some more setup in PSO Planning workspace, like setting up the activity type(making it splittable), Shift template(making it splittable). But still i am not getting the desired result.Can someone help me, what am i missing?Regards-Nahin

Hi Experts:We have the following requirement in PSO.Customer uses Sub Contractors(Defined as a Resource Type) for handling their jobs and the requirement is at least they need to be plannned for 6 hours of jobs per day unless they should not be used.How can we make sure this in PSO?Could we use any PSO Rules but I dont see any matching rule for this except to limit Maximun working hours. Hi Experts,I am loading following Appointment Request and after processing no error can be seen. But when I check the history I could not see any data there. Please refer attached xmls Load file and Appointment request.Please help to answer the following question. Do I need to Specify the Datset_id in the input file when there are many data sets? There are no errors in the Events  But I don't see any history? How do I know whether PSO processed an offer request successfully? What I am missing here.Many Thanks,Kasun 

Hi, Anyone running ARP in PSO alongside FSM?I’m working through implementing ARP and one of the items I’m looking at is after the shifts have been generated in ARP, how to get that data back into the the FSM tables. This is so we can replicate data into the FSM Schedule Board. (I know , I know, I have a 10 year reliance on the FSM SB to break and get users to use the PSO Workbench). But just wondering if anyone has extracted shift data from ARP and populated that into FSM?  Cheers Ady

DST (Scheduling distribution service) error 

Hi,Recently jumped from 5.7 to 6u23. I’m looking at specific functions in our business to get them to move away from the Smart Client to the Web Client. One function loads a custom Product screen and in the Smart Client its sound, but the Web Client is showing the following error. Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'childLists') First of all any idea’s what the root cause of that issue might be?Secondly to self review issues like this, does the web client write back to any logs anywhere to be able to go and check? RegardsAdy

I have successfully been using an “App password” and SMTP AUTH with no problems up until about 2 weeks ago. I have made no changes or updates to FSM and the user account is still active and able to send emails through Outlook.Does anyone know why this may have happened and also are there any instruction on setting up OAUTH & SMTP with O365 in FSM

Hi community,we are looking for help to set up the work calendars in FSM to use the calendar exceptions also in PSO.Out goal is to assign different calendars to different users to manage the calendar exceptions for different regions in different countrys.For example: Hollidays in different regions of a country should be stored in different calendars which will assigned to the related users.In PSO these exceptions should be displayed and used for the scheduling.For now we set up four different calendars in FSM and assigned them to the related users. In PSO we only see the calendar exceptions which are set up up in the person records of the users.Any ideas whats missing or needed to get this runnig?ThanksBenjamin

Hello,we need a solution to efficiently manage exceptions in the calendar for team meetings without the need for a manual import per technician. This solution should take into account both existing and future exceptions in reports.The question now is in which tables the recurring calendar exceptions entered in PSO are stored. We are in the process of planning to upgrade FSM to either version 6U26 or 6U28. I know that both of those versions are certified to work with MS Server 2022 and MS SQL Server 2022. Question: Did any of IFS Customers has attempted to install FSM on SQL Server 2022 and if yes, were there any challanges? Is FSM performing better under MS SQL 2022 compare with MS SQL 2019 ?Should we chose Enterprise edition or Standard edition? Thank you.

I integrated FSM and PSO using HTTPS method but received an error message when initializing the dataset for on-premises systems. Has anyone defined a Best Practice to follow when using the Symptom, Discover and Cause fields?

Our system has a large number of stock records for items that when they reach a count of 0, aren’t likely to be used again for months or years. We have an SQL statement to find these records and remove them from our stock table to clean it up so we don’t have thousands of empty rows to search through when running other queries. Rather than directly modifying a crucial table like ‘stock’ we opted to add them in a T-Table called ‘t_stock’ with the delete modifier. We then run a T-Import to delete these rows as a safer alternative, and also to trigger any business rules when they are modified. We are able to schedule the SQL query to run on a set schedule say, every night at 11pm.Is it possible to schedule a T-Import for this table to run at a similar time so it doesn’t have to be manually run? What other solutions might be possible when working with such a critical table? 

How do you add an entry to this table?

But in the Custom processes where we added the query for the insert the task_id value is not retrieved for the exection point.We get this error in logs :Message: SQL Server exception (137:Must declare the scalar variable "@TASK_ID".) executing following SQL: Kindly revert on the solution for this process to handle the task_id in FSM
