According to another post here, when it comes to auto generating a rota, PSO will use the last shift template currently used against the resource to extend out the shifts.This has no problem working in most environments, but in 1 client’s environment, auto generating a rota provides a return of mixed shift templatesFor example: Generated a rota with a resource having a shift called Wed-Sat: 8-6. This was the shift they were given for a month periodthen went to create an auto generate rota for the following month. PSO gave the resource 2 separate shift templates for that month period.This resource had no ROTA hours prior to this so the shifts we initially made were the first shifts they've ever received. We believe the issue is ROTA related as if we take export the modeling data and import it into a new dataset within the same environment, the issue does not return. If we export the rota and modeling date, import that into a new dataset - the issue remains.Can’t find anything in the XML

Hi Experts, I need to trigger the custom mpm when the an external system sends an inbound message.I know that custom mpms can be triggered by using the UI designer/XML poster. If the outer system wants to trigger the custom mpm directly, is there a way to achieve that? Ex: http://hagilk0/DEMOFSMServer6_4/OData/perform_inbound_integrationouter system will trigger the mpm= perform_inbound_message and execute the query based on the code level.Can I use similar kind of logic to call the custom mpm message from outer system as inbound request? Thanks,Hasara

Hi Experts,Looking for some guidance and help on following customer issue.Customer has process type in input reference as appointment.And for commitment of tasks it has a scheduled job in FSM (commit rules are not set in PSO, commit is done by scheduled job in FSM)This scheduled job occurs once a day.And the broadcast from DSE to FSM happens per one hour.If the scheduled job for commitment of tasks happens at 11.20 am.Then in PSO,  end-user do fix commitment of tasks to several resources at around 11.18 a.m. (2 mins before scheduled job)And the next broadcast is at 11.45 am. After the scheduled job in scheduling workspace it can be seen that activities are overlapped. (not only the activities & resources which were fixed committed)My queries are 1. Is it ok to do manual fix commitment to tasks when scheduling type is "appointment"?2. any clue on what to check and where might this get wrongAppreciate your help and response on this.Thanks in advance. Regards,Heshala.

I’m interested if any IFS customers out there plan their field service technicians off a fixed zones/routes concepts - sometimes referred to “milk-run” methodology?  This is as an alternative to fully adaptive scheduling offered by PSO.  We’re merging some businesses and want to asses how well IFS handles the two different planning approaches being used by the different organisations

Looking for inputs from IFS experts, is it feasible to create your own API within the FSM platform that can be exposed to third party applications outside IFS for a synchronous communication?  Thanks in advance.Regards!

Has anyone tried calling/triggering a list of MPMs from within a custom MPM. I have a requirement of calling other MPMs (custom and OOTB) from within the code. Updating objects in both FSM as well as PSO.

Hello all, We are working on connecting the spares to the objects, but we use Serialized objects a lot, is there a way to connect the Spare Part to same Parent Object cross all sites, ignoring the different serial numbers etc?As example: Main Part number: 025953-0000-000, always have the same 4 spare parts. But from what I can see, I have to add those 4 manual every single time, isn’t there a way that we can link the same 4 parts from the same site to the main part number?  Thank you,Michael

Hello, I have a question in regards to how to prioritize PSO bucket resource to receive jobs as a last resort.We have different type of resources and wanted to see how can we override other resources over the bucket resource. Use case: Right now we have a resource that already have 2 jobs scheduled on them but PSO is moving it into the bucket tech even though the resource met all the criteria to do that job and have available shift. I use the comparison tool and cannot figure out why since the travel parameter for the resource is even closer than the bucket resource etc.  Please assist if possible. Thank you!

For example related to the person record? or maybe a custom object?The use case is fatigue management.As a mobile user, I would like to report on my fatigue status. For that I need to open a survey and fill in a few questions and save the survey. This can be at any time of the day.What is the best solution here? Cheers! 

Fellow FSM community, Does anybody know, if it’s possible to set-up FSM to use different outgoing (sender) mail accounts when sending notification messages.My customer is working as sub-contractor on behalf of different tenants and needs to send out delivery notifications from different mail accounts.Even though It’s possible to specify the sender via “Message From” Field within the notification template, the process fails because application server is obviously trying to use the SMTP credentials specified within APP PARAMS. So it can access the specified mailbox if it’s different to the SMTP_USER specified. Following exception can be found within the Server Log:The following system level exception was generated by the application: Communication error sending smtp mail message: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable So does anyone of you have an idea how to solve this requirement?Thanks in advance! Best Regards Andrei Venglinsky 

Hello, Could a mismatch in time zone from FSM vs PSO cause activity to fall under scheduling exception? For example, we’ve recently running into scheduling exception that related to “ Activity out of scheduling window”. After further research, I notice the plan travel commitments is follow by our time zone which is central time where the job is located in the eastern time zone. Normally resource shift won’t start until 8AM so I am not sure if both system need to match and if this is causing scheduling exceptions. Any insight would be super helpful! Thank you so much!

Hello all, If we have a custom table in FSM with thousands of records. These records don’t have access group.Now, i want to create the access group for the same custom table automatically populate the access group field for the new records.Regarding the old records, i want to run an update to populate their access_groups. The question is “Do i need to recreate the entire table for FSM to assume that i have the Access Group field and start restricting the records based on the field? Or i just need to make sure that all the records (new and old ones) have the field populated.”I have FSM Update 16.Thanks in advance

Hi there, It was brought to my attention from our Field Engineers that FSM Mobile Version FSM6u16 does not sync when the Android Device (using Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3) running Android 12.  Is there a work around for this? Our Techs work out of data coverage as are underground. They add lots of Notes and Attachments whilst not having data. The device in most cases will screen lock before they are in coverage. This potentially causes issues as the data is not sync’d even though they are now in coverage.  Has anyone experienced this and can suggest a solution? Thanks, 

FSMwe are currently using FSM 6 update 15, is there option to divide the day, month and year from the date field and store it in the different db field?Eg: user_def_dttm1 = 6/24/2022from the above fields i need to save that in three different field as belowuser_def1 = 6user_def2 = 24user_def3 = 2022we cant use substring expression, because it will not work for below10/24/2022 - because the position will keep on changecan any one suggest if there way to accomplish above requirement?

Hi Experts,I am trying to setup a file integration with FSM for the first time. The FSM app is setup as an app service in Azure. within the same resource group a storage account is created, within which a file share is setup in order to do the file integration.  with the following folder structureI now tried a basic outbound integration,When I trigger this, I run into the following error, I then tried my luck with an inbound integration by creating a monitor schedule,  ​​​​​​​Now I tried uploading a simple xml file that ought to create a request, in the specified folder​​​​​​But nothing happens, I don’t see the request getting created, nor anything in the integration log to point that this was picked up and processed up by the application.So this is where I stand now. I’m pretty sure I am doing some trivial mistake(s) as this is my first attempt at a file integration. I would greatly appreciate any help to get this off the ground​​​​​​​

Hi all,we have custom client-report (rdlc) which contains signature (format jpg) in it.On DEV, ACC, TEST, the printed report has signature on it.e.g.  On PROD the signature cannot be shown in the report. The Code-Table Cust App Params (SAS TOKEN) exists in all environments.  Any idea why PROD cannot print the signature? ~Juni
