In Web Client, while trying to create a new Request & search for the place, the search doesn't show any places (until specifying a search value & clearing the same).
Looks like standard product behaviour, Can anyone please assist with this.

Try this in Smart Client, if it’s same follow the below steps to trace the actual hierarchy select which is performed on lookup.
- Before click on lookup icon, open XML log and clear it.
- After clearing the XML log, just open the lookup and close it.
- Again, open the XML log and copy the XML log message.
XML Log - You can find this in Global menu.
Have a look into the copied XML log message, you will find a hierarchy select with actual constraints(both data constraints & join constraints).
