Keeping up with the Cloud releases, how is it going?

HiI’m interested to have an understanding of the everyday life after the move to Cloud version and how you keep up with the IFS releases and upgrades.Many customers seems to go the “update once a year” route to get to the latest release. Much depends of course of the scope you are using the platform for and how are the borders of each customer’s ICT systems set and integrated with each other.Our IFS scope is pretty basic, mostly finance/ERP with purchasing and project related activities and HR master system, adn we have just moved from Apps9 to 10.I’m interested of you who have already moved from different Apps-versions to Cloud or even you who have moved directly from other system to IFS Cloud, and your views about the adaptation to the new everyday life.What has changed in areas of the amount of IFS/partner support needed, the amount of your own work needed to keep up with the releases and even the spend changes for doing all of this.I’m having doubts we can keep it running efficient

How to get B2B_PROCUREMENT_LTU for IFS Cloud

Hi, Is there anyone has experience with customers’ LTU licenses for IFS Cloud? Based on IFS standard documentation, to enable user consume LTU license, only by connecting the users to LTU permission sets. But when customer purchase LTU license on IFS cloud, there is no LTU permission set available to chose from. Where could customer / partner get the LTU license for IFS cloud? and how to enable it when available? Thanks, Sutoto

Bug 25R1 SU3 login fails

Hi,We are in the middle of upgrading to 25R1 SU3 from 24R2. In all installations to test-environments so far we have experiecced a bug, the login fails a day after the installation has been done. Before that it is possible to login. Anyone else who experienced this issue?We have case CS0437713The RnD team has identified this as a defect within the IFS Cloud Application, and they are currently working on a solution, and solution is planned for the following versions.IFS Planned Version: 25.1.6 - 25R1 SU6, 25.2.0 - 25R2 GAUntil a permanent solution is provided, the current viable workaround is to restart the ifsapp-iam pod. The RnD team is also working on an alternative workaround in parallell, as the existing one is not sustainable.Kindly Marie

Lobby navigation tree level possibilities

Hi All,I was working with lobby navigation from the past month and noticed that when we navigate to a screen that has that tree level structure for example: “Project Monitoring”, Resource Management > Resource > “Resource Details” etc. after navigating to the screen I can't populate the tree view and it's just showing the data without the tree view expansion option. Just want to confirm whether it is IFS limitation or there is some way, but I am missing it! Best Regards,Vishal J

High Availability issues On-Prem with 24R1

I tried submitting a case with IFS on this but was advised to try here first. Please advise if anyone is able to help with what we are experiencing below. We are hosting ourselves on-prem and recently upgraded from IFS 9 to 24R1. TL;DRThe <server> cluster is in HA mode but it is not using the typical robust cluster state database software that we would expect in a production ready environment (using Etcd). In addition to that, each node refers to itself for the Kubernetes API instead of a load balanced IP address in the event a node goes down. This is symptomatic of a non-production/non-enterprise setup. Microk8s is best suited for small, single node implementations and/or local development. It does have addon features to provide HA and other production style features, however, those features are not very robust. This is how IFS chose to package their product, and they don’t appear to offer any other on-prem options. So, we appear to be stuck with it as is. As a reference for the

Baseline Status is set to "Behind" after a Release Update

Hello,We recently updated our internal IFS Cloud solution from 21R1 to 22R1. After applying the update in all our use place environments, we have noticed that some of the existing page configurations are set to Baseline Status = "Behind".   When we go inside the Application Configuration Package for these configurations, we noticed that all these configurations are not synced. As per the IFS documentation, we should click on "Publish” button to get these configurations synced, but clicking on the "Publish” button does not change anything.  Does anyone know how to get these configurations back to “Up-to-date” state? Thanks in advance, Ashan De Costa.

IFS 25R1 Ingress Installation Fixing ‘No Such Host’ Kubernetes Error

During the installation of the IFS ingress in 25R1 release update the following error was encounteredError: Kubernetes cluster unreachable: Get "https://xxx-xxx.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net:16443/version": dial tcp: lookup xxx-xxx-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net: no such hostThe hostname xxx-xxx-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net could not be resolved to an IP address from the management server causing network communication failure with the Kubernetes API server. Resolution Steps:Run the following powershell command on the management server to test connectivity:Test-NetConnection -ComputerName xxx-xxx-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net -Port 16443If this test fails log in to the MW server runnslookup XXX-XXX-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.netNote the IP address returned and add Host Entry on Management ServerRe-test connectivity using Test-NetConnection. IFS Support Access to Customer Environments for debugging with SSO

A customer are currently using SSO with Multi-Factor Authentication, and when IFS Support needs to assist with debugging in their environment, dedicated accounts must be created. This process is taking significant time, causing delays and frustration. The project is now in a critical phase, and any delays in addressing support cases could jeopardize the planned Go Live.Could you please advise how Unified Support typically handles this situation with other SSO customers, and if there are alternative secure approaches we can propose?

IFS Report Migration Tool XSD Error

I am trying to use the IFS Report Migration Tool to convert an rdl layout to an rep layout. I get an error that states a file is missing and to please add the .XSD file to the same directory. The XSD file is in the same directory and I still get this error. I have tried both individual file conversion and the folder conversion.The file names are exactly how they were exported:SomeReport.rdlSomeReportRep.XSDIs there an additional naming convention that needs to be applied to the XSD file?

-942 in Grant_Privileged_Users__ when publishing CF in OutgoingInvoice

HelloI meet an issue when trying to publish new custom field in LU OutgoingInvoice next to the other published already. But, unfortunately i got an error PLS-0020: identifier … must be declared. I assumed something got wrong with the whole LU Custom Fields, then i unpublish the only existing.Unfortunately, when trying to publish the newly created i’m getting above error, but when trying to publish the one which was published, i’m getting:   There is no issue to deploy/publish custom fields in other LUs.I assume -942 is an ORA 00942 table or view doesn’t exist error, then when look into body of the CUSTOM_OBJ_SYS.Grant_Privileged_Users__ procedure the only suspicious thing is reading from system view dba_users.What could be a reason behind these issues? Best regards,Wiktor

Manually Creating Consolidated Pick Lists in 24R1

Hello, Since we went live with IFS, we’ve used pick lists to create shipments for our customer orders. From time to time, we need to manually create a pick list using the Create Pick Lists for Customer Orders page (or the Quick Order Flow Handling page). In the past (most recently in 23r1), this generated a pick list which triggered the creation of a shipment since all of our customer order lines are set up to create shipments at the time of pick list creation. It’s also important to note that the pick list was created with a consolidated order number versus a regular order number when following this process.Now, we get a non-consolidated order number on the pick list, and no shipment is created. All of the shipment type settings that are common between 23r1 and 24r1 are the same and the order lines are saved with the At Pick List Creation shipment creation method. Has something changed? Hyper V support

I found a couple posts asking about Hyper V support.  It appears IFS has abandoned the idea of supporting it, but I’ve been unable to find definitive information on it for recent versions.  Specifically, we are running Cloud 23R2.  Does anyone know if IFS supports a remote deployment in Hyper V for this release and future releases?

High Availability issue in 24R1
