Data Migration

I am trying to do a CSV integration export in which when opened in Notepad ++, it doesn’t have leading quotes (“). I am trying to send this file every week to a customer via EDI for billing and the testing keeps failing because of this.Attached is the integration I am testing and the file with the issue.

I am trying to migrate a small customer file (only 4 records for testing) and am getting the following error:  Failed to initialize job ORA-20110: IntfaceDetail.NODET: No details found for HMH_CUSTOMER_INFO Any ideas out there?THanks,Stephanie

Hi all,We’re in the process of an IFS Cloud implementation and I’m setting up some Data Migration jobs to perform data loads for testing and later on in Production.When setting up the CREATE_TABLE_FROM_FILE job, there are some preset rules loaded but I always need to manually add SKIPLINES rule = 1, because I really want to keep the headers in my upload .csv template file.Any idea where I can add the skiplines rules in the default? 

Hi all.There is a need to migrate open Purchase Orders from one site (contract) to another.I have setup a Source Migration job ..  But when I come to run the job (for one PO), I am getting this error messageORA-20110: PurchaseOrderLinePart.NOSUPPURCHPARTEXIST: Supplier for purchase part does not exist for the demand site.I’ve checked the attribute string and the Order Number (which I believe will be the new Order Number) does not exist. It seems step 10 (header) has not commit before steps 20 has run - hence the error message  Any idea why this would be the case?

I have installed IFS Excel Add-in on my computer, I connect this to the cloud environment that I work with.I then update a record on table “Account Group” and when I go in to IFS, the record has not been updated. Intead a translation has been added for the line.I will add some images so that you can see:I planned to update the line 200, the translation for this line looks like this:No translation added.I then update the value in Excel:The value becomes updated in IFS:No changes in standard language however Swedish is added. When I installed, I had Excel in Swedish, this has been changed to English without result.Same goes for Office 365 was changed.IFS has always had language English as standard on my profile.

Excel in Windows10 environment User has gone to Add-ons menu and selected the following two: To create and update data in IFS Applications using Microsoft Excel you need to install the IFS Data Migration Excel Add-in. As a prerequisite you need to install Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime. Next Excel is opened. The new tab IFS Applications is visible. User uses the icon to connect to IFS: Nothing happens. No log in screen is presented. Anyone an idea what could be the issue for this?

HI All, In IFS Cloud, for certain customers we have created Functional Objects. Now when we are delivering a Unit, we need to fill in the Superior SM Object ID Field.In order for us to keep visibility where a machine is located and to have easy access in the Equipment Object Navigator. Is it possible that for certain Sales Parts this  “ Superior SM Object ID Field”  field becomes Mandatory ? Looking forward to your input. Regards, Marcel

We were in progress of debugging why a certain data migration job was not importing data correctly and we got a couple of issues/bugs while debugging.  Attribute string fieldWe wanted to use the attribute string to verify if the data was read correctly BUT it looks like the attribute string is cuttoff at a certain size? (1922 chars?)This is quite tricky as we could not debug if the data went in or not? View Temporary table created by job?When creating a job with CREATE_TABLE_FROM_FILE it seems its impossible to view the table created by this job? For example with Quick reports?   

I am looking to extract the email addresses from user accounts in sqldeveloper but do not know the location of the field.Using version 10It is showing on the create User screen  but system info shows only as Control: textboxEmailWhats this ID: labelEmail.Any help appreciated  

Hi All -- hoping for some help with a migration job issue I’ve been struggling with. I need another pair of eyes to see what I’m overlooking.I’ve got a job containing two separate views, plus the custom field view for one. Validating my job results in “Validate OK”, however upon execution I receive “The Sales Part Base Price already exists.”  I’m trying to update the custom field (CF$_ACCEPTABLE_USE_CODE_DB) or any field in the line, and not create a new one. Attaching screenshots of everything I can think of… I’m also a rookie when it comes to data migration.  

Is there a way to do mass part uploads on sales campaign or in customer agreement at deal per part level. Regards, Urvaksh 

I am using FSM with a SQL database and wish to produce a new Test DB from my existing PROD DB. I have tried restoring a backup of the Prod DB to the test DB and this doesn't work as it says DB not available. I have tried doing and export from the Prod DB to the Test DB but I get an error about writing to a read only table. Does anyone have any advice? 

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the Excel Plugin to access multiple data bases?I have a customer who want to be able to update both test and Prod.Not both at the same time, but be able to switch between the two. 

Hi everyoneI’m trying to migrate manual customer invoices using a MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA migration job and I’m using Man_Cust_Invoice_Item for the lines.  I’m getting an error that the DIV_FACTOR is mandatory and requires a value even though it has actually been set.  I’ve tried setting it using the default value and via a source column but I get the same error in both cases.  I’m using Cloud 21R2.  Does anyone have any items on how to resolve this?Thanks!

Hello IFS Community! I’m assessing a strategy for a legacy ERP migration into a PRODUCTION IFS APPS 10 (UPD16). This is a multi-tenant  instance (many companies are running on this IFS instance). There is already one company operational and I am migrating company #2.My question is this: we are considering two strategiesMigrate this new company (let’s call it, company “A”) into PRODUCTION where the current company (company “B”) is operational. Do the migration and QA work directly in PROD. Once the GO-NO GO decision is made (if GO) then just start using PROD with no further delays. In this approach there is no freeze period for company “B” Migrate this new company in a staging environment that we will clone off PRODUCTION (so all of company’s “B” data is there), freeze PROD during migration (tell users of company “B” site is off-limits for now). Do the migration and QA work there (in staging). Once the GO-NO GO decision is made (if GO) then clone back the staging into PROD and unfreeze

How could I migrate data from a GPE environment to a PPE environment? The goal is to migrate parts of the whole data set: customers, companies and some other transactional data.

I am trying to export SRV_REQUEST_CFV using the procedure FNDMIG_EXPORT and when I execute it, it returns an empty file.  I have one record that I have entered into the table, but it is not pulling it.  Any ideas?

Can anyone describe the difference between using the Data Migration tool vs the Data Migration Manager Tool?

We are upgrading IFS 8 to IFS 10 in a Portuguese customer.Since portuguese localization requires that voucher entries for the current year must be in one software to extract legal reports we need to export data from 8 to 10. Can anyone help us with some documentation or samples?Regards
