Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

hi good people of the IFS community, I’m very new to this and looking for advice, I look after the inventory orders for the company I work and normally I create them using the Re-order point (B), based on the details I’ve entered into the Planning Details Per Part. this gives me a requisition per item, I could have 50 items for the one supplier ( 50 different requisitions) what I want to be able to do is, add all these requisition to one RFQ so I can send this out to a number of suppliers for pricing, once I get my prices back, split the RFQ between the suppliers that were cheaper for the parts. I normally end up coping and pasting the lines from 49 requisitions into one and then sending that out, this is very counter productive.is this possible and instructions would be great :)

Hi,We are implementing Demand Planner for a client who uses apps-10. We are facing an issue there. its like, based on the forecast models we are getting different forecast outputs. but the problem is for the first forecast month we are getting the desired result but for the rest of the months we are getting either the same value or only increasing values or only decreasing values. but the expectation is to get different values that may fluctuate month by month for the forecasting periods.For example, if we are using 3 months moving average, in the first forecast period it system gives the forecast value averaging last 3 months demand. for the 2nd forecast period it is expected that the first forecast value should be considered but system is pasting the same value as the first period and all other forecast periods (in our case 12 periods) are also having the same value.Would appreciate if anyone can help in understanding this logic. Regards-Nahin

Hello, I am trying to write SQL to capture internal data source via base flow assistance, but I am getting error with the statement. Can someone help me understand table internal data source is capturing and how can I resolve the issue?  

We are trying to find any receipts that have return for rework transactions that are still outstanding.  Is there an out of the box screen or report that would provide that information?  The Received - not yet Invoiced Report shows any return for credit requests that are outstanding but we need to verify reworked parts have been returned.

Any ideas how to solve the topic to keep some materials demand date in system fixed (material level)? Any solution? Case is that would be create to set up the fixed demand dates for some specific parts and the first check availability for those and based on the availability of those then start to procure the remaining parts.

 Hello, I have a question regarding the price conversion factor. I want to explain this through an example.For example we have a purchase order(raw material), its 1000mm and about 2kg but its not possible to know the weight exactly. Because when the supplier cut the material; the amount may vary slightly(for ex. 2.2kg). So the price of the material can be change too.The invoice can reach us after a few days. But when the material comes to us, we need to receive it without waiting for the invoice so that we can consume.If we receive it as 2 kg, we cannot change the order amount when the invoice arrives. We have to cancel and receive it again, but this is a serious waste of time. How can I change the price conversion factor after we receive the materials.Or if anyone has a solution for this issue and shares it, I would be very pleased.Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, I would like to have when releasing a shop order, distributions are automatically created with a peg to the released shop order. Intersite PO/CO with EDI set-up is also a possiblity if that’s easier. The point is that components stored in another site should be supplied to the manufacturing site, with a link so it’s obvious on reception where the goods are needed for. Using MRP, we lose the link. We do not use DOP at the moment, and are wondering if this is needed to have this feature. Thanks! 

We have created a custom menu that works correctly in english on purchase order screen but when the language changes to polish and we run the menu it gives the error “No version for a given stock item” for example that item is 12345.0000  What could be possibly causing this error ? from the error message it seems like something is missing but I am not sure how to check it.can someone help me ?

Could anyone tell me how to request a quote to supplier the component parts in DOP? Customer operation and requirements are:Create DOP header. Pick up the parts to be purchased from the product configuration of DOP. Create a request for quotation to the supplier for the picked up parts.I can't make a purchase request so I don't know how to create a quote request.Please let me know if there is any good way. Best Regards,Nobuo Murata

How can I prevent decimal places in the calculated forecasts. I can hide them via the formatting of the columns, but when importing into MSP they are visible?  

Hello IFS CommunityLooking to network with IFS Community who uses Demand Plan Client. I would like to connect with multi-site manufactures and learn some of their best practices. How do we handle product codes or new items in the Demand Client? We have a new product but with no history. There will be no historical usage. How does it get brought into the Demand Client for us to plan for future?

In Apps10, our receiving clerk over received the qty on a PO while registering arrival. Accounting has since vouchered for the correct amount. How do we remove the extra qty since it is too late to cancel the receipt and start over?

Customer needs to set up a new supplier with payment details and the bank details were given by the supplier  is with following format US supplier ;a routing number and swift code,  an account number    Most of the suppliers in  IFS db has been set up with  an account number and sort code or an IBAN and swift number (BACS )The New US supplier is being paid in GBP ,  can this be set up with  considering only  the account number and the Swift code without considering the routing number . How we convert this to correct format , as existing format doesn't have routing information.Thanks.   

IFS Company customer wants to make sure that materials from IFS Company supplier are available for their products and therefore:IFS Company buys the materials and invoices them directly to the customer (with some charge for administration and stock keeping). When delivering a product that includes this material, the invoice price must be corrected for the material used (after all, this has already been paid for by IFS Company Customer).Anyone out there having implemented this requirement?When IFS Company customer would buy these materials and make them available to IFS Company, this might work with Customer Owned Parts, but IFS Company customer doesn't want to be involved like this

Hello, Currently, when we transition a Buyer or Planner out, a Find and Replace is done to locate and update all PP, IP, Supplier records with the new individual. I thought in IFS Apps 10, there was a way to perform a mass change to a new Buyer/Planner. However, I have not been able to find anything in the help section. Does this functionality currently exist? Thank you!

Can ‘Notify Me’ be configured on Supplier Agreement Notifications, say, when an agreement is nearing expiry? Is there anybody using some sort of a notification feature on agreements?Business Requirement is that the Buyer on Agreement needs to be notified when its nearing the ‘Valid To’ date.App10 Upd9

Hi Team,System event NEXT_AUTH_PUR_ORDER is used to notify next PO authorizer. It is working fine except for users in a special company.  How or where do I need to set this group so they receive notification by mail ? what am I missing ?Thanks for your advice.

Hello,Is there a way in IFS you can inactive Purchase Groups?  When trying to delete one in the basic data, the system will not allow me:  I get an error message that it’s already referenced to purchase order change lines.  Funny part is when I search for those lines, I cannot find it.  Suggestions greatly appreciated!

How do you set up two supplier agreements to have one price unit for a box of 10 and another price unit per piece?I want to do this:When I place a purchase order using this first supplier agreement, for a quantity of 10 pieces and a piece price unit, the purchase order takes the supplier agreement with the piece price unit rate. When I place an other purchase order with the same quantity of 10 pieces with a price unit for a box of 10, the purchase order takes the supplier agreement with the price unit rate per box of 10.I see this :When I create 2 supplier agreements for the same part and supplier with 2 different piece price units , the first one is always taken. I cannot change the supplier agreement with the other.can you help me please? 

Hi all,I’m trying to find a way of editing the HTML of an email that is sent within Purchase Order. My actions are Right Click > Print Order then selecting email option. The email is sent through with no issues, however, I would like to edit the content of this email (the body of the email seems to be auto-generated). Any thoughts?Print Order (Email)Thanks,R

Hi,Please assist on below scenario:In the case of Customer Orders with a source code of ‘Inter-Site Direct’ and ‘Inter-Site Transfer’, date changes originating from the supply site are conveyed back to the demand site’s Customer Order in IFS in the following order: Supply site (eg: Shop Order) > Supply site Customer Order > Demand site Incoming Purchase Order Confirmation/PO > Demand site Customer Order The Incoming Purchase Order Confirmation (IPOC) on the demand site requires someone to approve the change in order to push the change to the demand site Customer Order.The person approving IPOC may or may not be the same as the Coordinator on the demand site Customer Order.Since the approval of IPOC automatically changes the Planned Delivery Date/Time on the demand site’s Customer Order, an email notification is needed to advise the Coordinator on the Customer Order that the date change occurred. How this can be facilitated via a custom event?Please share your thoughts. Thanks
