Hello,Can any one suggest on Upgrade Readiness Assessment Tool  RegardsPankaj

I cloned one of our existing app9 application server onto a new server. Did a move and then started a new install (following manual cloning procedure) then got error below. Does anyone one has any suggestions? Can anybody please advise what happens to the migrated standard default permission sets i.e. FND_ENDUSER, FND_DEVELOPER, DOCUMENT_ATTACHMENT_VIEWER etc., Do they get updated or replaced? Also, what would happen to the standard default permission sets if a customer had made amendments to one of them, instead of copying and amending?  Would there changes be overwritten/removed. The reason for asking is because some REVOKES have ‘disappeared’ after the deployment, when, they were there just before going through the deployment step. Thank you for your help. John

If we need to connect a case to another handover, we can perform it via LCS Handover lines. During the Update Applying process, this is a required step as there could be, not delivered or partially delivered patches which are included in the UPD via are currently applying (superseded patches). If we encounter such handover lines, it is recommended  to connect them to the current UPD applying case. By default, superseded packages are not visible in LCS (you can make them visible via a setting though). Therefore, if we do not connect superseded packages to the latest UPD case, those could be missed in deliveries or cause confusions as those lines are not visible by default. 1. Open up the case applying the latest UPD.2. RMB --> Customization Projects Handover… 3. We are running on Oracle 12.1 standard /App9 UPD 12. Can we apply UPD18 to APPS9 without upgrading oracle to 19c? 

In “Copy Part” screen, either if the “Cancel if original is missing” Boolean field is active or not, if we copy a non-existing “From Part No” from site X to a site where it also does not exist, there is no error message. An information message says that the part is created while it is not created. An error message would be better…Is it going to be improved in next releases? (I am currently under 21R1)

Hi - looking to connect with anyone that is using IFS in life sciences sector and has or is attempting to validate the use of IFS. We are currently on Apps 9 and looking to kick off an IFS Cloud programme that will deploy a new solution that will potentially be validated from day 1.

Dear Community, Indemnity is a new functionality in IFS. In the case of using it in Sales Contracts:Would it be possible to :1- Explain the usage of “Indemnity” in IFS and if there is any impact in the system (account postings,calculation,...) or it’s for only a repository? 2- clarify functionally the meaning of “Requirement Basis” and “Requires value” ? Hello.  Would there happen to be some documents (possibly white papers) with examples and screen prints of the key differences (upgrades) between Apps 9 and Apps 10 available?  These could be marketing style high-level datasheets that present the key differences that a customer would be able to easily review for the most common user modules.  Thank you for your assistance.   Joel Cisco

Until IFS10, each time an update was released, various documents such as NEWS about the update were published on the Partner Portal.Whenever a Release Update or Service Update for IFS Cloud is released, NEWS and other information is published at the URL below.<https://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/IFSCloudProdInfo>However, I cannot find the following document which was available before IFS10.　InterfaceReference_Report_UPDXX.xlsx　IFS Applications Upgrade Enhancement IndexIFSAPP10UPDXX.xlsx If we are trying to Upgrade to IFS Cloud from a previous version, we will need the above documents.If anyone is aware of any materials like the above on IFS Cloud, we would appreciate it if you could provide them.

Hello, Is it illustrated somewhere, the standard process of upgrade on for example example IFS 7.5 on prem version to IFS CLOUD managed cloud, including the steps of deliver the upgraded database to IFS Cloud Use Place which should be used via SNOW? Kind regards,Johan

Just a quick question regarding the Apps9 to Apps10 upgrade routines. Do permission sets get migrated from Apps 9 to Apps 10 OR do you just get the standard set of permissions that come with Apps10? Thanking you in advance.

After UPD installation the logs for the relevant installation cannot be seen in the in the logs folder

Hi All We are currently investigating a DR scenario whereby we recover IFS. Due to the requirements of the scenario we need to change the name of the Application Server - e.g. if it is called ifsapp1 we need to recover it to a new server called ifsapp2. We are confident in our steps to recover the database but the application server is proving trickier. We have been able to create a new application server from a backup of the current application server and we have renamed the server itself. Has anyone heard of the End of Life for the IEE platform.  We are in the process of implementing IFS and don’t think that the Aurena platform has all of the mature functionality of IEE. If IEE is going to be around for the next 3-4 years I would lean to implementing the more mature platform than be a gunnie pig for a new platform.    

Dear All,We are working with one of our customer to rollout the application 9 in country of Romania and we found the translations for various reports in local currency is not available, any idea, can we get the translation file for Romania to import into IFS9 application or how to get the file for import?

My company is having an issue. At the moment, we are testing APPS10 with an expected go live date in November. Since testing, with a very limited set of users, we have noticed that some are getting .dll errors for pages they frequent. One day during testing they can see it, the next they can’t. In apps 9, the user could technically cause a .dll error if they cancel out of the download at the bottom when they first go to the page. In 10, there is no cancel button available when downloading the package to view the page (good improvement). We did some testing. While troubleshooting I moved the .dll file that the page was complaining about to a separate folder > went to “download all packages” > IFS realized it was missing 1 package and downloaded it > but we still can’t see the page until we delete everything out of the 2.0 folder. The only help I’ve gotten from IFS is to clear the cache which is essentially the equivalent of an uninstall/reinstall of the instance since it delete

After running the upgrade script from IFS7.5 to IFS10, when I checked SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB, the data was deleted and SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_120 was created.SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING is a breaking change in functionality, so column mapping is not possible.Is there a good way to migrate SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB data when upgrading from IFS7.5 to IFS10?

Hi,We are migration our IFS to IFS Cloud and when we try to install the certificate on the MW we have de error below. I’ve tried many option and any of them worked. Our server is on-premises and we want to install a wild card. Did anyone have problems to install the certificate?  

Hi..  In APP 09 the “Export to Excel” option is available when RMB in the navigator for quick reports.   Recently noticed that the “Export to Excel” option is missing in APP 10  Is this option removed from APP 10 or is there any way to enable it?
