Apps9 - Application Message occasional error - 'Message has no body' - any ideas?

We use application messages to send EDI invoices, delivery instructions etc.. however, we frequently see error messages saying that the message has no body. These all resend correctly with a simple right mouse click to restart but any ideas why these fail in the first place??Any ideas how to prevent this? Or automatically resend failures?

Oracle Standard to Enterprise Upgrade

We are currently using IFS Apps 8 on Standard Edition and looking to upgrade to Oracle Enterprise edition. We have upgraded two of our non-live environments, and noticed that Enterprise has caused one of our scheduled jobs to go from executing in approx 4 hours to completing in over 12 hours!Nothing else appears to be impacted by the upgrade apart from this job. Our DBA partner are investigating alongside Oracle who have trace files.Anyone gone through a similar exercise and experienced any issues.RegardsShaun

FSM Connect - Folder Listener for .csv and update Primary Table

Hi,I have set-up a Folder Listener via the Monitor Schedules to pick out .csv files based on a prefix.I want to trigger an updated to the primary table (invoice) once the file has been received. This will then be replicated for other tables too.The value is not in the .csv so I want to add that in myself.It doesn't appear to like this when adding in the hard value into the mapping, as it just by-passes that column.I have then looked at using a Process to trigger a XML update where that value is set.I have the file being read and the integration is mapping the header 'OrderNumber' to 'invoice_id' but how do I get that value into the XML to update the Invoice ID accordingly?This is the Mapping I have.The process is. With the XML being a simple update. I’m just unable to get the ‘OrderNumber’ value from the .csv to map into the XML. What is the correct setup to achieve the outcome of the Invoice ID getting updated? RegardsAdy

WaDaCo - LOV auto pick function

Hello,I am setting up the “Report Picking Part” Data Collection Configuration. Every time that we report picking from the scan gun, we create a handling unit prior to that. The first step of the report picking process is to choose which Shipment Handling Unit ID you are attaching the parts in which you are picking. Every time we do this process, we always choose the most recent Shipment Handling Unit ID that was created (that process never deviates). I am trying to have the system auto-pick the most recently created handling unit ID, but the auto pick function always chooses the first value in the LOV. The most recent handling unit ID created is always the last. Is there any way I can always make it choose the most recently created handling unit?

Changes in Base Profile not updating

Hi!I have done a couple of changes, related to moving fields, changing column order etc.Just normal changes.I have done this in our TEST environment, but when users log in, those changes has not come thorugh for other users. This happens sometimes, and sometimes not. I am aware of the functionally “Clear personal profile” But, this doesn´t help. So im asking for recommendations on how to solve this.Do you know other ways of “clearing profiles”. Or maybe something related to cache?/Albin

Apps 9 - How can i determine where my IFS dev environment is looking for our crystal report layouts are held?

Keep getting message back saying the crystal report cannot be found. Report definitions and rules are fine. I also get another message suggesting the layout is not held in the database. i want to be sure the dev version which is a recent copy of live is pointed toward the correct dev layout folder but not sure how to determine this? all help appreciated

Migration of Closed Purchase Orders

Hi all, I received the below question from one of our APPS8 customers. They want to migrate closed PO's from their old ERP system into APPS8 (Customer recently aqcuisitioned new business).. My idea was to migrate the PO's with No Parts instead of Part lines, but I'd like to double check with the community!-------------------------------The question is if there is a way to migrate closed POs and what is the impact to postings. We will only go for a migration of No Part POs. If we are migrating POs with the status closed is there a posting connected to the status? Is this on kicking of the system functionality of posting a GRNI? If there is no posting linked to the status in the data migration, how is the matching of the invoice to the PO working? We will post an opening balance in IFS which is the closing balance of the old system. In this one we have the GRNI amount from the closed POs of the old system. So now we need to reduce this balance when we match an invoice to the closed PO wh

Emailing from Print Dialog

Hi,When you Email a document ( Purchase order etc.. ) from the print dialog does anyone know where the From email address is picked up from?We are currently on Apps9 UPD12 on our Live system and we’re currently testing Apps9 UPD17 on our Test system, on our test system its using the Email address of the person that Emails the document, but on our Live system it’s using the Coordinators Email address.I’m sure its a change in the Updates but thought I’d ask.Thanks,Mick.

PL/SQL for Re-printing from the Archive

I have a requirement to re-print a file generated by the PDF_CREATED event.I have all this lovely data to hand:PRINTER_ID - <Original Printer>PRINT_JOB_ID - 9999999REPORT_ID - CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REPREPORT_PARAMETERS - Blah BlahREPORT_TITLE - InvoiceREPORT_TITLE_TRANS - BlahREPORT_VARIABLES - Blah Blah^RESULT_KEY - 88888888STATUS - REMOTE WORKINGLANGUAGE_CODE - blahLAYOUT_NAME - Blah Blah.rdl What I want to do is post the job back into the print manager queue using the relevant API calls and change the printer_id so that I can re-direct a copy to a 2nd Printer. Refund in Work Order

Hello,I have a user that is not able to have a Refund in a Work Order display in the Invoice Preview. The pricing for the Refund Items is not transferring. Do they have to be manually entered? Is there a different step/process to follow from a regular (positive) invoice item? Thank you in advance.

Permissions Set - How to find specific RMB Option

Hi - I have setup a new permission set for Travel Approval Authorisation - Amount. When the user lists the travel requests to authorise they can see the requests and can RMB, Approve or Reject but the Travel Request… is disabled. The user can zoom into the Request from the Request ID and can also open the request via the Travel Request Overview (RMB\Travel Request...) I cannot seem to find which object gives access to the Travel Request… via RMB from frmPendingAmountApproval.tblPendingAmountApproval. Is there any easy way to find this? David.

O365 Multi-Factor Auth for IFS Enterprise Explorer

How have others, or what is the best practice for protecting IFS Enterprise Explorer with Multi-Factor Authentication when exposed to the web via reverse proxy?Aurena is very straight forward, as you can just configure a Conditional Access policy for it to enforce MFA and target the Aurena apps.When configured as per the documentation we were given when setting up Apps 10 for O365 authentication, the Enterprise Explorer app doesn’t come up in the list of apps meaning there’s no obvious way to enable MFA for enterprise explorer, thus exposing IFS to the public internet with no MFA.One option looks like Azure App Proxy but interested to see how/what others use.

When loading customer invoices from a file Apps10 UD8 getting an error below.I have the customer set with a payment method with no payment addressInvoice Type = EXTINV, Invoice Series = EX (no series ID as the invoice number is set in the file)I never had issues in the past so maybe I’m missing a new setting somewherethanks in advance!

FSM6u6 Customer Portal Place Lookup

Please can anyone help explain an issue we are having with the Place Lookup on the IFS6 u6 customer portal… We 710 portal places per portal user, when you bring up the place lookup from the new request screen, the popup place lookup states that it is showing 699 places (and it is as I counted them), not the 710 that we have loaded (if I look in the metadata for that screen, there are indeed 710 places) These 610 places are also sorted randomly, not in order. if you only have a small amount of places then they are sorted. I have had as little as 370 places in the list but these also did not sort.Would greatly appreciate if anyone could assist with this.
