Problems with SOAP Integration

Hello,i just started an integration for an external program with IFS8.The external program should create supplier invoices. As far as i understood, i should use InboundDistributionTransactions:ReceiveSupplierInvoice for this.I’m currently trying with postman. I can reach http://domain:port/fndext/soapgateway and can successfully execute the BIZAPIs GET_TEST_ORDER and GET_CUST_ORD_CUSTOMER by providing the correspondig SOAPAction.I want to do all communication synchronous. Monthly customer statement of account emails.

We have created an event that will email the customer statement of account when a report has been run.I have concerns about the number of messages that will be generated and sent when this is run.Has anyone used a bulk mailer system process these messages? The next question is how to export the individual messages so they can be transferred to the mailer service.

FSM 5.7 - Part Replacement Function

How does this function work ? it is updated in the part record and when its used on a part need, it automatically goes to the new replacement part (sometimes if you’re using the updated part it goes back to the old part)is this a business rule or out of the box? i want to apply this practice to the quote module so the parts in the quote module are being updated as well but i cant find this.

Getting PK error when copying a project

I duplicated a project from the IFS Projects window, I changed the project id, saved it, then I open the copy project wizard to copy everything from the original project to the new project. WaDaCo - Move Inventory Part with Availability Control ID

The customer block a batch in stock by using Availability Control Id, later the batch No and qty is moved to another location using WaDaCo process. When doing this the current Availability Control Id is removed which is gives big problems as the blocked material now is available for demands, still not approved for use. I figure out a way to set-up WaDoCo so the user can add a Availability Control Id but this is a non working solution in the long run. Is there anybody who knows how to configure WaDaCo so current Availability Control Id remains on the batch and qty after move.The customer cannot have Availability Control Id connected to a location due to size and weight of the parts. How to translate an Unit of Measure on the Purchase Order report?

How to record manufacturing transactions?

We are in the process of implementing IFS for the first time, so this might be a newbie problem, but this is my first time working with the RESTful APIs in IFS10. We have a 3rd party application that scans the barcodes of each product as it comes off our assembly line, and records a timestamp in a separate SQL database identifying when each finished good was completed. They are identified by the Work Order and Sequence # from the shop order. I’ve been tasked with modifying the app to push this info into IFS updating the work order. Unfortunately, I can’t simply close out the order line each time a product is completed because most order lines have large quantities. If the order line has a QTY of 70 (for example), I need to be able to log each one of the products as a unique transaction incrementing them until the total equals 70, then close the order line. How would I log these transactions in IFS? If it matters, we do not log finished goods into inventory. They are literally stacked o

Project cost registration - Non Personal. Automate.

Hello,I would like to register automatically purchase costs in the “Project cost registration -Non personal” window.When an expense sheet is authorized, automatically it is registered in the “Project cost registration - Personal” window. But, when a purchase order is invoiced or posted, it is not registered as a cost in this window.I could create an event, but I wonder if there is another way to get it.Best regards,Amaia

Posting Controls (New company setup) Best Practices

Is there any documentation on best practices for Posting Controls setup? We’re looking to have a better process for setting up posting controls when a new company is setup. Is there an easy way to copy them over from another company in mass? How do others handle this? Adding them on the fly as accounting runs into errors is not working. Surely there is a better/easier way?

Absence calculation

We enter an absence line in the result tab of time card for 4h with the tag “not removable” because the employee takes half a day of.Then on the day itself the employee will add a line “in normal” in the clocking tab and a line “out absence” total of 4h.After that we use a scheduled task that uses TIME_PERS_DIARY_UTIL_API.geerate_hours that calculates the result tab.But then we see that the calculated result gives us 3 lines:4h absence that we entered manually 4h work time as recorded 4h absence that was calculated to reach the 8h of their scheduleThe 3rd line should’t be added because we already put in 4h of absence.This looks like a bug to me or am I forgetting to add a parameter?

Use Alliance for email conversations

I would like to be able to have my tech support team work through Alliance for their emails back and forth to customers. I’ve looked up the information about the “Email Listener” function in Alliance, but I wanted to get some feedback on how it works. -Can you set it up that all support personnel use the same outgoing email address (example: service@companyx.com)-Can the listener pick up the call reference number and place it in the correct tech support personnel’s Alliance inbox?-Can the return email be added directly into the call in the management tab? Basically, I would like to use Alliance to remove the need to have support personnel bounce back and forth between outlook and Alliance to answer customer questions. There is a lot of unnecessary copying and pasting that goes on, wasting time. When I go back to get call information, I never have the whole exchange, just bits and pieces. I would like to streamline our processes to make it better for customers and support. Ian

Pre Posting on PO

Hi Guys, I have a doubt, when I am trying to release PO, it prompts me to add Pre Posting in Po line and then I can add and release PO but when I create Change order preposting prompts does not occur as they dont have that setup there and niether the new PO line added through change order prompts for pre posting and allows to release PO contrary to previous one.Your ideas!

MT940 in Apps 7.5

Hi What are the limitation in Apps 7.5 when compared to Apps 10 in handling MT940 bank statements in External Payments? I have just checked and saw that only a MT940 format to handle Customer Payments are available in Apps 7.5? Does it mean that it not possible to handle MT940 with all types of transactions - Mixed Payments (Payment Orders, Customer Payments etc)

Customer Rebates - Wrong or Non-Existent Calculations

HelloWe have an issue when calculating Customer Rebates.Under one agreement for one customer we have a group of invoices which all show the correct calculations yet others have incorrect calculations or show zero dollars.We have checked that the same rebate rules are being applied.Has anyone come across this behavior in IFS?ThanksAlan
