Hi IFS-experts,I am experience something strange when connecting a resource forecast to a project resource. On the Project Forecast the ETC value is 0 and, on the Resource Forecast the ETC value is also 0. When I make the connection between the Project Forecast and Resource Forecast the ETC value is recalculated to -99.382.My expectation was that it would be the same as the ETC in Resource Forecast and Project Forecast. I am trying to understand how the logic is working in IFS. If someone can enlighten my knowledge about how this should be working, then I would be very glad about that.

We are working on a process where ALL billing is done from the project.  The process involves creating a Custom Order (CO) from the Business Opportunity (Bus Opp) and then setting those lines to Not Invoiceable.  On the projects side, an invoice plan would be made for an amount that includes the CO Line.  In order that an invoice is not created from the CO, the CO line(s) is set to Not Invoiceable.On the project, the Planned Revenue for these order lines is being included.  It is my thought that if the line is Not Invoiceable that the amount on this line should not be included as a planned revenue.Does anyone have any thoughts on this?Patrick

We plan to use consignment stock and link customer order to a project. Got error message that consignment stocks are not allowed for project connected customer orders. Why is this?Any basic data setup that will allow? Is there a workaround?We are using UPD10.17

When a user is trying to delete time reporting hours on his time card  in LIVE environment it shows an error as “It is not possible to add value for Report Code as it is not defined as a resource criteria”  However, when he tries to delete time reporting entry in Test Environment, it prompts an error as “It is not possible to add value for Employee Category as it is not defined as a resource criteria”  User is in Aurena UPD10 (both Live and Test). Is this a bug in the application or basic data setup missing? Please advise. 

Hi All,I have a question from Project Management related to Gantt Chart and Activity Progress during the project scheduling process. When we tried to schedule a project by having an Activity progress (Example- 50%), we could not see its reflection in the Gantt. Could you please let me know the followingsHow the Activity progress getting reflected in the Gantt? Based on the progress completion, is there any place in the Gantt or screen where we could see the remaining days. HI all,when using supply code “Project Deliverables” in customer order line I have the following question:In this scenario the user has to decide if the part will be reserved, picked and delivered via customer order (if needed inclusive shipment) or via Project Deliverables (PD), in combination with a shipment plan, right?So via PD the manufactured part will be produced and put on project stock, the reservation, picking and delivery will be done via customer order or if needed shipment (with order as source ref type). A shipment plan in PD does not make sense as the part cannot be picked twice obviously.The only reason I see using customer order with PD is having the object customer order at hand (for invoicing and all other functions the order is offering).BUT: would not supply code “Project Inventory” offer the same functionality? so what is the difference to supply code “Project Deliverables”?What is the actual IFS-business-process for su

Hi All,I’d like to draw attention to an important gap in our current Project Deliverables process— shipment.Referring to the PD documentation, “IFS Project Deliverables consists of Design, Plan, Create Material Supply, Ship, Install and Commission, and Complete processes.” While the process flows smoothly from design through planning and material supply, it breaks down when we reach the shipment phase. The flow resumes seamlessly for installation and commissioning, but only if the shipment happens outside of Project Deliverables.Currently, we can create a shipment plan, but once we actually ship the material, we lose it. The reason is that we can only ship to the customer, and thus we don't have a "receive shipment" functionality, which disrupts the process. For EPC projects, it’s common practice to ship materials and equipment to the installation site. Hi All,I am currently struggling to solve unfinished activity work. I hope someone can help me to point me towards the possible solution direction.A project needs to be closed but unfinished activity work is preventing this from happing. It is about Multi-Company Project Reporting of hours that have been registered a year ago.I am getting this message: There is at least one Project Transaction which has not been completely invoiced or where Multi-Company Reporting Revenue voucher has not been created.Based on the data I think it has something to do with the value in the column invoicability. The value is invoiceable.From experience, I know that changing the Invoicability to Not Invoiceable can solve the unfinished activity work. Therefore, I expected that changing the value will solve the unfinished activity work.Changing it directly on the Project Transaction is not possible due to the source of the transaction is MCPR.So, I created

Hello,When there is an over consumption of Budget, system does not allow to Cancel a Purchase Order, that will eventually bring down the consumption value.Same issue also exists in case of reducing PO value through Change Order. Due to Over-consumption users are blocked with an error message to cancel any PO or to reduce any value in PO unless Budget Control is disabled. Blocking of PO should trigger only in case of increasing any value or adding a new line.System should not block while cancelling PO or reducing any value in PO since these action helps to reduce the cost of the project and eventually reduces the over consumption.The below error says, ‘Transaction will exceed budget’, when the action is to cancel the PO.

In the ‘Resource Details’ window (Application Base Setup -> Enterprise -> Resource -> Resource Details), it allows setting costs in General Cost tab per company and per site.  We can notice that there are different Resource General Costs associated with different Sites inside the same company.   However, in the Schedule of Work Estimating, when the Resource type is set to Project Resource, the ‘Site’ field becomes read-only, so the required Site cannot be selected.The Cost Rate would always be the value associated with the Company instead of the required Site. 

Hi all,I have a customer in the Construction Industry who is keen to use the Job Rate Management functionality in IFS Cloud. Their requirement is slightly different so I would like to get some insight about the best way to implement this. They have projects all over Australia and usually a construction worker will report time using only the project activity and number of hours worked. (means they don’t use specific activities and report codes). At the same time, they have 2 main allowances - Site allowance and Height allowance attached to a job activity that differ from one state to another. State Project activity (floor wise) Site allowance

Hi, I have a cost base mark up % defined in the project specific sales pricing for a specific report code (Expense). When I create an expense sheet for the activity, confirm and authorize it creates a project transaction but mark up is does not pupulate. if I edit the same project transaction and change the internal price, the mark up is populated. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a fix for this?  Thank you. 

Multiple GL Account not link to Subcontract.Problem: In One Subcontract mutiple task assigned to vendor, task can be related to multiple projects, so should be charge on that one Account (GL account) but it is charing on just one account which is sequentially first. What will the solution to link one subcontract with diffrent activites and diffrent project account charge on project wise GL account(should be diffrent as per project, one project has one GL ACCOUNT).   

Create two projects witch structure, exactly the same. Next, try to copy resources from one subproject to another. Try saving records but error pops up "The Activity does not exist" but exist.The reason for this is missing Activity Description, it is mean, IFS no serching Activity Id before saving.When use CTRL+k in Activity Id field, description apear and record can save. This manual work would be time consuming.Any idea, how to fix this issue?  

Dear Community,We are facing a challenge in Project Management Module, with the way Planned Cost is calculated when the Resource Plan is updated.The challenge is described below. If anyone has faced a similar issue and solved it, a reply would be much appreciated! Here’s the background:We are maintaining rates under Resource Group. The Resource Group rates are updated annually.  As a result, one Resource Group has a different rate for each year. If activity validity spans for several years, the Planned Cost uses all the different hourly rates that were valid for the time the activity is valid for.Here’s the issue:The challenge arises when Planned Hours are insufficient and need to be increased during the life of the activity. When planned hours are increased, the Planned Cost is recalculated based on the total Planned Hours (including the increase) using all the labor

Hello eveyone! I need to schedule a csv file from IFS server to be in FTP address each 2 hours. I already set the Job Migration to create a csv file. And I already set my destination folder in IFS Server.The csv file is being created in the folder that I set. It’s all fine here. Now, I need to send this file to a FTP server each 2 hours. Is there a way to customize this? Thanks a lot for any help!!

Hi all. I have been going through a ppt “Project Solutios Overview” and I have saw 2 buttons that I do not have in my enviroments.Currently, I work with 23R2 and 24R1 versions and in none of them I see the buttons shown below: What do I need to see that configuration? Is it necessary to have installed the Bussiness Reporter previously or if I don’t have the BR the buttons will not work but I would be able to see them? Thank you. Best regards Sergio.

Hi.I’m testing the integration between Ms Project and IFS Cloud (24.1.1) and I have an issue: The order of the Activities are not the same in IFS and Ms Project after the import.IFS Cloud screen: Ms Project after the import:Does anyone know why Ms Project does not keep the order of the Activities? Or the problem is in IFS?
