We have a need to send purchase orders to multiple people at the supplier (procurement and quality group for example).  How do we do this with an Event?  We have the same issue with Customer Invoices needing to go to Customers (Procurement, Quality and Finance).  If we have one, we would be able to figure out the other.

Is there any way to implement some sort of approval flow when entering scrap for an inventory part so that if a certain scrap code is used, it then must be approved? Some scrap codes we use need to be verified/looked at, while others are considered normal process types of transactions.   With all that said, we do not (and do not want to at this time) use the scrap functionality from the workbench.

During manufacturing operation(s), it very well may be the case that you'd want to restrict the Manufacturing Employees from re-opening the Shop Orders based on your exact requirement and operating guidelines. Hello, A user recently brought to my attention that the ‘Export’ button is missing from the IFS BR ribbon/ toolbar in Excel when the report is run/ exported from App10 IFS IEE. We are currently using version 5.0.8.0. Additionally, the IFS BR ‘Export’ button seems to appear in Development mode when logged in to IFS BR application on PC.  Is the recommended workaround to use the native Excel ‘File → Export’ functionality?

I’m having a problem in proceeding survey functionality in IFS app 8. Here I created a survey and did not select the checkbox regarding ‘Answer Once’ assuming that it will allow me to answer to the survey more than once. But, when I’m going to attempt it for 2nd time, the error message pop up stating that ‘ you have already answered the survey, if you have not please contact the system administrator’. Further when I contact system administrator he does not know what to be done? Could you explain the functionality of  ‘Answer Once’  check box? Is there anything that system administrator can do?

IFS Setup:  IFS Apps 10 Barcode Printer:  Zebra ZT-420 Crystal Reports:  2016 I am trying to create the inventory part barcode label in GS1 format.   This looked to have worked in IFS Report Designer by using a custom field to generate the code required and using the DataMatrix label format.   However, although I have amended the page layout to be 10cm x 7cm it still appears to be printing as per A4, the label prints in the centre of the width of the page.  If I look at the layout in report designer layout it still specifies A4 and will not let me change the value.   How can I do this? Secondly, can anyone recommend a GS1 Barcode Font provider that can be used in Crystal Reports as that was my second choice to create the barcode label. If we have to purchase from a GS1 Barcode Font provider, how is this implemented into IFS.  I think the ‘plugin’ would have to be installed on the middleware server.  Is there a specific folder that the font needs to

When logged on certain pc on trying to view the IFS field help I receive a incorrect file type error.   If the same user logs on another machine they do not experience this problem, the field help displays correctly.   Any ideas?

My company is on Apps 9 and I have an issue with a subcontracting purchase order. The purchase order was created from a purchase requisition whose demand came from an outside operation on a shop order. The purchase requisition generated one line for the total quantity on the shop order. When our purchasing department converted it to a purchase order they added additional lines, reduced the quantity on the original line and all lines now total the original first line. By doing this, the original demand code was changed from Demand Code “Shop Order" to Demand Code "Non Inventory” on the added lines. Now when we Register Purchase Order Arrivals for the added lines, they are not connected to the shop order and we are unable to complete the operation on the shop order. What can we do to enable us to receive in the purchase order and have it connected to the shop order. Example: Purchase Requisition generated from Shop order for 500 EA. Purchase order created for 5 lines of 100 EA.

We want to create a custom field RAG_STATUS on the Supplier Info header screen. if Insurance Renewal Request = ‘YES’ THEN RAG_STATUS = ‘GREEN’ If Insurance Renew Requested = ‘NO’  and Insurance Renewal Date has not expired but is >= TODAY’S DATE -30 DAYS then RAG_STATUS = ‘AMBER’ If Insurance Renewal Date has expired then RANG_STATUS = ‘RED’ Finally, if possible we would like the field to highlight the RAG_STATUS field in the colour of the RAG_STATUS answer. Probably achieving the above via a custom event. Any ideas on how I can achieve this.

Inventory Part in Stock Reservations lets you search for a part and you can see where this part is reserved on Shop Orders. Is there any functionality in IFS which lets you mass unreserve part from several shop orders rather than going into each individual shop order and then unreserve material? This would save lot of time for users. It may be done using Custom Menu option but wondering if it is available out of box.

How to set Models and related components?

Hi, we did not finalise coding format for Document classes, however I need to start creating some Document classes for our IFS Project . which later will be imported into Production. Is there any chance to change Document Class codes while migrating? or even at the same database?     Thanks, Aida.

Current Version:  IFS Applications 10 UPD 6   The user has requested setting a default value for the OCCURENCE_FREQUENCY field on the Risk Assessment screen.   The LOV is from the Frequency tab in Risk Potential Basic Data. The field isn’t Mandatory.  Is the only way to create a Template then set the template as default? I thought I had done something similar using Conditional Fields > Create a Value Set. However, Add Value Set is greyed out for the field Frequency (Occurrence Frequency)  Please advise.

I have a Quick Report (Crystal Report) that has the parameter WO_NO (work order number).   The report works fine.   Created a custom menu on the work order header and in the custom menu set the Quick Report Parameter as: Source Key Name = WO_NO Dest Key Name = WO_NO This again works fine but the user has to press enter when the parameter screen displays the Work Order No.   Can this be set to AUTO accept the value being passed?

I know you can request an emergency license (last 3 days) from IFS using the link provided.   This generates a license key.   How do I apply this?  Normally, we receive an xml and click apply then select the xml to license the software.   Thanking you in advance for your help.

Hi, We are doing an IFS Applications 10 implementation to a Manufacturing client. One of the processes of the client is to create a recipe structure for Manufacturing. Our scenario is, there is an unfinished recipe which is still in Tentative state. When we try to add components to our structure, we get the error “Phase In date of this component conflicts with parent revision date range”. In our client’s business, a Chemist (person who enters the recipe) might start working on a recipe (still in Tentative state) last week and he/she should be able to add components until he/she is done with the recipe. The Phase In Date should not be problem until the Recipe Structure is completed. At the moment, we have to change the Phase In date for the parent or child every time we add a component to the Recipe Structure which is not practical. Can anyone advise how to components to an unfinished recipe structure when it is still in Tentative state?  Please ref

Hi all, I happens that we have to repair manufactured parts. We do that by creating a RMA and a repair shop order. But we cannot find a easy way to connect the RMA to the repair shop order (without using a custom field). How is that done?

Has anyone ever created an integration to manage some business processes in parallel between SAP and IFS (i.e. SAP for Finance and IFS for Manufacturing/Distribution or SAP for all SCM/Finance and IFS for Manufacturing)? Thank you!

It seems that IFS Apps10 only uses Machine Time when planning Manufactured Parts and Shop Orders. How should we plan Manufactured Parts (MRP) and Schedule the resulting Shop Orders with labour only? We are not using CBS or APB, just Apps10.
