Insights (Business Reporter and Analysis Models, EOI)

I have a BR report in APPS10 where I’d like to run multiple reports at once. In this example, the report takes a work task number for input and generates several pages for the work task. I’d like to either be able to pass in a list of work task numbers to the report itself or have IFS recursively call the report to produce multiple. Ideally, our end users would like a single combined PDF as well, but I’m not sure if that’s possible in the recursive case.So far, I’ve tried using sheet repeaters when allowing multiple values for work task input, thinking that the sheet repeaters could iterate over the list. This doesn’t seem to work, as the report just returns the design version, with no fields populated.I also tried to dig into the package (XLR_TEMPLATE_UTIL_API) that I think actually executes the reports, but I was struggling to successfully generate a report.Does anyone have thoughts on whether the above points are possible, and if so, how?Thanks!

HelloWe are currently on Apps 10 Update 15, and have IFS BR Execution server setup and working on a Windows server. As part of receiving Update 18, we are required to update the version of BR Execution server as per release notes. However IFS do not provide the steps to perform this, and there is nothing found on this community so far or via the IFS Technical help pages. I downloaded the MSI Installer from the Add-on page, and transferred this to the Windows server. But when executing this, it errors out due to a Windows service already existing. There doesn’t appear to be an option to uninstall or upgrade. Has anyone been through this process, and how do we perform this?Any help would be appreciated!Thanks

Hi All, I got a ticket from a customer that Stream Serve Layout reports are not print in the folder path created in  IFS Cloud 22R2 Worked in App9 as below.Enter the folder path which is in the middle ware servicePrint the Report and it will create a file in the folder path given in the system parameter. And they are trying to do the same setup in IFS Cloud 22R2.But while they print the report, they are getting the error as ‘No Such file or directory’ 

A beautiful good morning to everyone! :)Is there a way to controll in an IFS BR file for the status of a purchase receipt?I cannot find the status in the light items nor in any of the linked dimensions.My current workaround would be to extract all receipts filtered for the cancelled status from the IFS App 10 GUI and add them manually to the executed report afterwards and link the status for the cancelled ones with a lookup and remove those receipts this way.Does anyone have a better idea?Manipulating the information source itself could be an option?I wouldn’t know how to do that currently, though.The overall goal is to produce a GRNI Report.Best regards,Benny

We are running IFS 10 Update 13 mostly with Aurena.-Two report notification email issues:When scheduling reporting, and setting them to send emails to users, we have noticed that canned (prebuilt) reporting includes the name of the report in the subject line of the email. But, Business Reporter (BR) reports will not move the name of the report to the subject line of the email. Instead, we only see: “Excel -File for report is ready”    -How do we get the name of the report into the subject line of the email? We run multiple test environments. Can the environment name be in the Subject line of the email?Thanks!

My customer is running 23R1 and after they installed BR on their local PC, the users are not able to open any excel file that is over 10 MB.  Has anyone seen this problem? 

Hi, I am attempting to create a query with parameters, but when I select my fields, Query Designer doesn't provide the option to choose dynamic parameters. Instead, it requires me to insert specific values. However, I want my query to support user parameters, allowing for a more flexible and dynamic input.thank you for your help 

I am new to dimensions, facts, and items. Is there a document or something I could read? My problem is I am trying to modify some BA reports that use certain information sources, and inside the sources there are existing dimensions, but the dimensions miss certain items that I want to add to them. I tried to add items on IFS from Information Sources → Dimensions → add new. But it asks me to incorporate a Fact that links the item to the dimension.The question is, can someone please show me a way to add a new item to an existing dimension?Thanks 

HiI have created an accounting structure and wants to use that when loading income statement through business reporter.May I know how can we set that as the ‘default’ to be used when loading income statement through business reporter.

Is there a way to get a list of saved queries (with the query string) from Apps10?How could it be achieved?

Does anyone know why the following SQL doesn't work in IFS? I only seems to work without the last LEFT JOIN and the associated column that I want to bring in at the bottom of my SELECT statement. I’ve verified the column names exist, but unfortunately the errors in IFS point me nowhere. Hello. My IFS version is IFS Apps 10 Update 16.I’m trying to use the “Send Email” action in a report rule to change the default email that IFS sends when you share a Customer Order Confirmation. I can change the Subject and the Body, but renaming the attachment and changing who the email is from is not working. The attachment retains the default name “CUST_ORD_CONF_REP_#####.pdf” and the From on the email is the default “noreply@blahblahblah.com”. Is there something special you have to do to make those change?Apologies if this is under the wrong sub forum. Wasn’t sure where exactly this fits.

Hi ,IFS recommended to use Access views to export data from IFS Cloud environment hosted by IFS.  The recommended user account is IFSINFO. Now the question is, since most data sources have row level security (Company/site/ HR access) some data are not visible to IFSINFO schema user by default. What is the recommendation here ? Q1.  Should IFSINFO be registered as an employee with supervisor access to fetch all  employee data from access view ? Thanks,Rohana         

How do we see the records in the invoice_attachment table?  I am getting “Query returning data types BLOB/CLOB is not supported.”  I just want to see the company and invoice_id for a specific company.  A previous post mentioned excluding the BLOB/CLOB fields, but not how do to that.  Can someone give me a specific example for excluding those types of fields?

I’ve inserted a chart in a Business Reporter report.  I added the chart as a separate tab.  When I do this, the report doesn’t seem to work.  Are charts only able to be embedded in the same worksheet, not a separate worksheet from the source information?

In my report where I have issues with images I have the standard logotype in the report. It has been added via the Aurena Interface under the tab LOGOS. Furthermore I have added another image to the report. This has been added “IMAGES” with another name.When running the report with the standard logotype in the database the image for the standard logotype is displayed both in the area of the standard logo and in the area of the other image.If I remove the standard logo from the database the other image will be displayed as expected, but I also want to have the standard logo in place, but the standard logo seems to replace other images when it’s stored in the database.Has anybody experienced this issue. Is it a bug?  

Community,We are planning to set up couple flat LCD/LED panels to show the lobby info about inbound/outbound transport tasks and their status. questions:does each panel need a IFS user id?  which lobby out of box will have transport task info? how to set up lobby as the only info on the flat panel? any documentation available?Thank you.

Hi,We have App10m we are getting this error Maytime's and we done most of the recommendations like:Take the initpub backup.Uninstall the crystal services.Re install crystal service from new zip in IFS instance folder (install CWS from IFS Home)Restart the IIS.Retry generating the PDF reportNothing work!!!!We created 8 instances for crystal to make load balance also it’s not working!!!!Also we checked log file and nothing there    

Issue Can not export quick report result to excel if the report have a bind variable and I leave it empty. For example, if I have a where statment like this: where company like nvl('&Company', '%'). If I run the report in IEE and leave it empty it works fine. But if I try to export it to excel I get the error "Stream was not readable".Product Version: Apps10 UPD19  Resolution Identified this as a bug, and this is fixed in APPS10 UPD20.

Issue After upgrade from IFS8 version to IFS Cloud table quick_report_tab has empty rowkey column. With this it is impossible to assign report to ACP package. Resolution Running the below query will solve the issue,UPDATE QUICK_REPORT_TAB SET ROWKEY = sys_guid() WHERE ROWKEY IS NULL; Permanant solution has been implented in 23R1.
