IFS Solutions

A customer has custom data warehouse built in MS SQL server that they are using with multiple internal systems for reporting purposes. When using IFS Cloud they want to keep using the same data warehouse solution.What is the best way of loading data to their existing data warehouse from IFS Cloud at the database level?Is it possible to use Access Views for this purpose? if so are there any benefits of using access views for this rather than using Oracle views with direct DB connection?

This is for IFS 10 - IEE.  We have some users who are receiving - “Error on Page  The page you loaded could not be activated due to errors.  Please contact your support representative.  Could not load file or assembly “Ifs.Fnd.Windows.Forms.ConditionalFields, Version=4.52.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=...” The user is using Chrome for browser. Has internet connection but may be a poor connection.  Chrome Add-in is installed.  User’s IFS permissions are fine.  Receives the same error no matter the screen that is selected. Any idea what might be causing this issue? Stacie 

Imagine that we buy 2 foot sticks, and that we cut them in half to get 2 one foot stick. Currently we just count-out the two foot stick and count-in 2 one foot stick but this way causes problem since its hard to keep track of the material inventory. Is there a better way to transfer one part number to two new part number? I tought we could make the 1 foot stick with a product structure but then it would mean that everytime we produce end product the step of cutting the stick is in the process. We dont want that since we cut alot of stick that last us a pretty long time. Any suggestion?

Hi,Using Apps 10 UPD14 we have a need for a fixed consumption of certain components regardless of the Shop Order Lot Size. For some Shop Orders we always consume 2 pcs of a critical material as part of the set up.We are trying to solve this by setting Component Scrap to 2 and Qty Per Assembly to 0, and it works on the Shop Order. However, we cannot set the values on Product Structure which requires Qty Per Assembly > 0 if Consumption Item = Consumed.Any ideas or suggestions? Could it be a bug?Best regards,Jørn Straarup

Hello,in IFS10APPSI have created custom event to release every purchase order just after saving.  Than, when I save new purchase order, nothing happens. The purchase order 433184 is still in “Planned” state. No errors of the event, nothing.  What is wrong with it? Where should I look for error? Thanks in advance Jan

Is it possible at all to have a MarkdownText content field that is populated with a H1 callout `#` and then pulls the data from a specified field (eg; CustomerInfoSelector/CustomerInfoAddresses or something similar). Would love to be able to pull another freeform short-text field as the value, but am not sure how to get this working (or if it’s even possible!)  Thanks all!

Hi All, During the Order Delivery step in Release update Studio (upgrade from 23.2.4 to 24.1.4), delivery fails due to installation errors in FNDBAS (I attach the log).There are a whole bunch of errors including missing columns in tables from FNDBAS (in dictionary_sys_tab for example). Customizations have not touched this area. More strangely, this earlier as well as later creation of TOP environments from Release Update Studio (and thus theoretically based on the same code from the repository) succeeds.Also successful is the Sanity Build run, which was performed just before the failed delivery creation (DEL environment installation).Update 23.2.4 to 24.1.4 is run by the customer team.Unsuccessful attempts to create DEL were made by him 3 times, as well as we did it afterward with similar results. Have you had to deal with a similar situation, or do you have any idea what could be the cause?I would app

Can anyone share the FSM - UPS integration design document? FSM6 has a standard connector to UPS, but I can't find any documentation of it. A customer requested this documentation this week. Likely, such a document got released with an older FSM release.

Hi,when Fixed asset depreciation is calculated, it always round up to ,00.Is it possible to change number of decimals in the calculation?For example: 8625 € x 0,02083333=179,687, but it’s rounded up to 180 €. 

In EE we have shortcuts that refer to advanced queries which prompt the user to enter a variable, For example we have a shortcut that takes the user to Inventory Transactions History and prompts them to enter the Lot/Batch No,  I understand SQL and Advanced Queries aren’t possible in Aurena however is it possible to prompt the user for an variable input? In EE this is possible by putting a & in the search criteria field We are currently using IFS Apps 10 - UPD 19

I have problem with Additional views, I created new CF in Entity PurchaseOrderLine, but when I run it it says that “The column vendor_part_no refered to in table t is not an approved persistent Custom Attribute”, but in additional views I edit switch toggle button in all entities which has OBJKEY available. This column is located in PURCHASE_ORDER_LINE_ALL which is switched on in toggle switch. Thanks for your advices

The people to be added to the document distribution list must be registered in the Contacts window. You must have selected one or more documents before using the menu option for document distribution. If you are using e-mail notification as the distribution method, the relevant e-mail address(es) must be registered in the Contact/Contact Method tab.

Hi IFS Guru,I am trying to setup Warehouse Layout (Bays, Rows, Tiers and Bins) in IFS while I was doing the layout found out that during creation of Tiers system is showing double Tiers one in the bracket of Bins and other the same Tiers under Row, it should be in the order of  likeBay>Row>Tiers>BinsSee the screen shot we are using IFS Cloud Version 22R1. Hello, Starting a discussion on this topic as we seem to have uncovered a bug not previously noted on IFS community which is impacting SQL Quick Reports.  We have raised this as a case with IFS who are currently investigating.  In the meantime I am keen to hear from other customers on IFS Apps 10 Update 23 using EE who may or may not be experiencing this issue. Specifically, when running “SQL Statement” type Quick Reports the Parameter’s Screen is blank.  Previously this would provide inputs for the various parameters held within our SQL statement, such as Order No.  The SQL code from the reports has not changed, and this happens on all existing and any new reports created.  Crystal Report type Quick Reports are working, prompting for parameters correctly as expected.  I can confirm that the SQL code is

I have a question that >>>> When an attachment (document object) in current LU (LU-2) is inherited (sourced) from another LU (LU-1) through an Object Connection Transformation, the attachment in the LU-2 does not appear in a new LU (LU-3) when the OCT has been configured for LU-2 and LU-3. The attachments originally attached to the LU-2 is successfully transferred to LU-3. Is this how the functionality works (limitation ?) ? Actually, the requirement is to transfer the attachments in the ShopOrderOperation LU (for outside operations where a purchase order is connected) to PurchaseOrderLinePart LU. For that, there is an in-built (system-defined) OCT. It works for attachments attached to the ShopOrderOperation LU itself. But, there are attachments inherited from other OCTs (from InventoryPart, EngPartRevision, etc), and these are not transferring to the PO line with that OCT setup. I think this is a limitation of the OCT ? However,

Hi,In one of our customer environments, there are more than 200 steps in most of the work tasks. Each step has a unique object. While working on a step, if we navigate to the object of the step, we end up in the first step when we come back to the steps page.
