I received this question in a private message: Can you think of a solution, on how to prevent the system from issuing new WDR beyond maximum shelf life?Example Scenario:A bag of chocolate chips is received with a 1-year expiry when sealed.After opening, it must be used within 2 months.A WDR Change - Receipt updates its expiry from 12 months to 2 months.Now, WADACO and IFS prioritize using this stock first.example: A bag of chocolate chips is received with a 1-year expiry when sealed. It stayed in the warehouse for 11 months, it has one 1 month left. When moved, the system might change the date to 2 months because is opened. How to make sure it will give only the maximum shelf life inherited from the original date?When stock is moved or repackaged, we want IFS to apply 

We are using IFS App10 UPD15. We have copied our Development database into an AWS environment and have built a Middleware Server on a Windows 2019 server. Hi All, I wonder if anyone of you Heroes and Doers have good and effective solution to the problem, same time not causing overloading the system.   In some cases, WDR is used to change the expiration date. A raw material, has a maximum shelf life when sealed—let’s say 1 year. However, once opened, it remains fresh for only 2 months. In Apps 10, the observation is that when entering a new customer order line for a Sales part number that has a Sales Part Cross Reference record (with customer part number and customer part number description), the Sales Part Description on Customer Order Line gets populated with the Customer’s Part Description instead of the description on the Sales Part record.Can you advise if this is the intended functionality and whether this can be controlled via a setting?Thanks

Hi, We’ve set up remote assistance in our cloud environment and encountered an issue when making a call between two members of the same group. The recipient does not receive a notification for an incoming call and only sees missed call in the call logs afterwards. Has anyone experienced this before? if so how did you resolve it? Thanks in advance for your help. 

Hello,As I understand, if I assign certain users to a certain warehouses in the form "Users Connected to Warehouses" for this user in the form “Inventory Parts in Stock” should only be visible inventory parts in stock related to those warehouses.But I still see all warehouses in “Inventory Parts in Stock”, even if assigned only some of them:What should I do to restrict visibility of certain warehouses information in the form “Inventory Parts in Stock”?Thank you beforehand:)

Hello Experts,I want to navigate from an element which shows the assigned tasks to the subproject to which the task is connected. I have tried using, at firstpage/ProjectScopeAndSchedule/SubProjectLevel?$filter=ProjectId eq $[PROJECT_ID]&$filter=SubProjectId eq $[SUB_PROJECT_ID]and thenpage/SubProjects/SubProjects?$filter=(startswith(ProjectId,$[PROJECT_ID]))&$filter=(startswith(SubProjectId,$[SUB_PROJECT_ID])) However, in both scenarios, the system only sets the value for the subproject ID but not for the project ID in the target page.   The latter part of the url is like this. page/ProjectScopeAndSchedule/SubProjectLevel;$filter=SubProjectId%20eq%20'002';path=0.165605

I’ve got my Sales Contract (SC) revision set to Audit/Contract Change Order Required/Comment Required and it’s Frozen.  When I complete a Contract Change Order (CCO) the system updates the SC but doesn’t create a new revision.  It just updates the current revision.  Am I missing something or is is designed to work that way?Thank youPatrick

Hi, We are currently working on upgrading our IFS 10 version to IFS Cloud 24R1 version.It was noticed that Resource tab is not available under the Prepare Work Order> Tasks Tab  Resources can be planned under PM Actions’ Tasks.We would like to know whether this is the standard behaviour in IFS Cloud or are we missing the other tabs in Prepare Work Order page due to any set up issue. Thanks,Thilochana

We are using FSM SmartClient Release: 6 Update 29 Build: 8961to send scheduling tasks (activities) to PSO 6.13.0.62. FSM sends tasks to field ops via FSM Mobile. We have multiple datasets in PSO. We also use appointment booking in FSM. Things have been working relatively OK for some time now, however several days ago we suddenly lost visibility to the PSO Scheduling Resources Gantt view for one dataset and see that the FSM schedule nightly process PSO DAILY INITIALIZE has errored out for that dataset since this past Saturday. We’ve tried to do the initialize manually through Maintain Dataset but that doesn’t work either.At this point FSM is no longer able to generate the overnight LOAD file for that dataset to synch FSM and PSO. How would a customer create a new custom webapp similar to the WAR files that APPSRV and GISINT use for mapping? Do you review customer requests on BitBucket, or is that only for internal use? Are the README files still valid for Cloud where our customer Git repo is hosted in Azure? (Would my webapp become available for every customer?) Please assume I have development experience outside of this framework.

Hello. We have an existing old active asset in IFS which already has depreciation recorded. We recently determined that the acquisition value and accumulated depreciation should be adjusted. For example, the current acquisition value is $100 and the current accumulated depreciation is $50, but now we would like to change the acquisition value to $150 and the accumulated depreciation to $60. Is there a way to do this? For the adjustment of acquisition value, my understanding is that it can be done via Acquisition Value Adjustment per Book. But how can the accumulated depreciation be adjusted?  We are using Apps 9u18. Any help would be much appreciated.

Our users have recently had some issues with the “Update Revision” setting on doc object connections, and i wondered if any other IFS users have had similar issues... On Doc basic (page) > Doc Default Values (tab) we set the “Keep_Last_Doc_Rev” setting to “R” (i.e. latest released revision). For the doc class in question, we also applied this same setting via the Doc Class management (page) > Doc Default Values (tab).We expected these settings to ensure that all doc connections for this doc class would follow that setting (unless a user intentionally edits the “Update Revision” field). Under normal circumstances, releasing a new Rev causes the old rev to become obsolete, and also causes the object connections to be moved to the Latest Released Revision (as expected)However, after a few weeks of running our process we found that several doc connections were set to “Fixed” instead of “Latest Released Revision”, and didn't really understa

I have a customer who insists on having links to Terms and Conditions on the last page of a couple of reports.They used to have rather simple URLs, so I could just add the addresses in blue and underlined, and it looked and worked OK. Now, however, they have looong addresses that one typically hides with a simple text, in html it would be something like ‘<a href="https://example.com">Website</a>’.
