Hi I was trying some troubleshooting, and changed a setting I obviously shouldn’t have.   Due to most users having the “Oracle Profile” of “Default”, I thought it would be fairly safe to change this setting in our test environment:   Short after, our test environment crashed.     Trying the MWS scripts, I get:     A small snippet of the logs:   <Feb 28, 2020 8:06:17 AM CST> <INFO> <EXPMIGR> <MainServer1> <The server 'MainServer1' with process id 12596 is no longer alive; waiting for the process to die.> <Feb 28, 2020 8:06:17 AM CST> <INFO> <EXPMIGR> <MainServer1> <Server failed during startup. Hi! When a custom LU and fields are added, IFS automatically creates a package to insert, modify and delete custom data. Is there a way to safely modify e.g. CF_NEW__ procedure in the custom package to add extra validations? I assume the CFP package will be overwritten when e.g. a new custom field is added or reinstalled and all changes will be lost, so it is probably not straightforwad. Any ideas? Hi, when I scroll my mouse over a field in IFS, the field turns black. I can get the information back when I click on it again. Is anyone else having this issue? I am using IFS Version 8.    

In my quick report I'd like to select a date range going back to the first of last year, so for today, 2/26/2020 it would select 1/1/2019 - today. date_entered between sub_months(trunc(sysdate, 'YEAR'), 12) and trunc(sysdate, 'YEAR')-1/24/60/60   I tried a sub_month but that didn’t work. I’m already using this format for going forward one year: OP_START_DATE between trunc(sysdate, 'YEAR') and add_months(trunc(sysdate, 'YEAR'), 12)-1/24/60/60

Does anyone know if there is  a way to create an outline around fields on a page?  There is an existing outline on the page but we want to create a new one for some custom fields that have been added.  This is an example of the out-of-the box outline.  We’d like to add one or more new ones.  

Hi, We are trying to create a report to get list of users and their last login time using the view ‘ORACLE_ACCOUNT’ and few other views. We noticed that users who login using webclient(b2e) do not have correct information in this table. Is it because webclient users some common oracle user (e.g ifswebconfig) for the oracle sessoin even though user login with his/her own user? Thank you Upekha

I am trying to create a business rule that does the following:   When creating a task, look at the default brand on the request_unit and insert the correct template based on that model number. So if Default_Brand = FRANKE then put in FRANKE Task Template. I tried to do this  Right now - its putting it on all tasks. I figured this is because i set the value table name and column under the input properties. Must be just matching off all the table values instead of the request unit. The model/request unit isnt put on the task until AFTER the task is inserted so thats why im trying to look back at the request. If it was on the task before insert then this rule wouldnt be so much trouble

Hi, A customer of mine has a database with a number of companies that have been sold. This data should be obfuscated. I’ve found another term used for this: data masking. So customer number might be the same, but the name is totally different. Does anyone have any experience with a tool that can perform this or has an idea how to start this from ground up (no problem if I need to prepare one, more or a lot of PLSQL APIs). We have created many Business Analytics reports and need to modify hard-coded filter criteria in many of the reports.  Is there a table that stores the filter criteria for repeaters that have been defined in the report template?  I’ve tried searching the XML files that are generated by unzipping the XLST file.  But have not been able to find anything related to the repeaters.   I also found the table that stores the report parameters (XLR_TEMPLATE_PARAMETER_TAB) ; those the user of the report is prompted for, but can’t locate where the row, column and cell repeaters are stored.  

Hi I am interested to know when you create new users, what is the default permission set you grant them to allow them to login to the application? I have compared FND_ENDUSER, FND_RUNTIME and FND_CONNECT and either they have too much access or not enough… FND_ENDUSER gives users the ability to create new database task schedules which we wouldnt want to grant whereas FND_CONNECT gives users access to Schedule Application Server Tasks. Both these functions I would only allow the IFS Administrator to have access.  Functional permission sets would supplement this initial permission set; so i wouldn’t expect it to have access to any of the functional screens.  Please provide your thoughts and recommendations  Regards Shaun

I have a created a Lobby element which is timing out.  I am logged on as user IFSAPP.  The result is the same for two other users.  The PL/SQL query behind the element returns the FIVE records in FOUR seconds select contract, part_no, ifsapp.inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Qty_Demand (contract,part_no) qty_demand from inventory_part ip where ip.PART_STATUS = 'C' and ip.CONTRACT = 'PCT' and ifsapp.inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Qty_Demand (contract,part_no) >0   The Lobby Data source I have created with the same query takes 90 seconds to populate with either “&AO” or “ifsapp” prefix   The Lobby element times out and doesn’t return any data after 2 minutes. The Custom Field referred to is using a select statement: select ipa.qty_demand from ifsapp.INV_PART_CONFIG_PROJECT_ALT ipa where ipa.contract = :contract and ipa.part_no = :part_no Does anyone have any suggestions why the disparity or how to resolve? I am trying to capture the time of a maintenance WO between Fault Reported and Workdone status. Basically down time for the previous 7 days displayed on a lobby. I have built the lobby and i can record the downtime/ breakdown time for last week but not the last 7 days.

Hello, I am trying to determine how Account Node Dimension data is joined to database view FACT_CONSOL_BALANCE_OL in an APP10 UPD 5 environment. In IFS Business Reporter, the dimension is identified as ‘DIM_ACCOUNT.NODE_DESCRIPTION’. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi All,   We noticed that the minus sign for currency figures in IFS reports is different based on language. Eg: Seems that English is used short minus (U+002D) and for the Swedish uses long minus (U+2212). Pagero OCR does not recognise the long minus so it causes trouble for customer. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Example in Apps10 UPD 5: Invoice Left: English Right: Swedish 

In IFS Apps 9, how does IFS runtime client store “caching” the username and password that is used on the IFS login screen?   Our client is running into an issue where no matter if they tell it to save the password it keeps changing what user is logging in. Only exception is IFS is launched through a shared ClickOnce  (ifs.fnd.runtime) application using RDS, not via URL. Other option is to figure out a way to suppress or grey out the Extended logon options: Please advise.

We are experiencing problem with batch queues taking much longer than they are configured to start background jobs posted. E.g Fast Queue is configured to execute every second with 2 processes. However, I see the jobs are posted to the queue but takes 2-5 mins to start. I have reinitialized the queue but still cannot see the difference. Same happens with other queues. What could be the problem and where should I be looking at? There are no Executing jobs which the queue should be waiting for either. DBMS Scheduler was crashed today and we had to restart database and enable scheduler.

We are updating to IFS10 currently, and have created new Lobbies for each base profile.  I am able to change and push them out to the base profiles, however; if someone has created their own start/home page, it saves that to their personal profile.  For those users, is there a way i can have the base profile home page overwrite their personal profile without clearing their personal profile or manually updating all 600+ users personal profile?   Any help would be awesome!
