Apps 10A user has reported that when he tries to print a highlighted tool request in the Tools Request screen, it fails with this msg: But the report is OK, because if I try to run it, it works correctly and produces the report on the screen.I am assuming it is a permissions issue, but I have hunted around various permission sets, and cannot see what controls the access to run this or any other quick report. I have tried using the debug console, but nothing at all is written there when this user tries to run it. Where does the access for users to run any quick report and then a specific report get set in Apps 10 please? This is not being scheduled as a background job, it should appear in the screen directly after choosing the Print Highlighted… option with the right mouse button. Thanks

Is there some sort of log that can be enabled in the IFS App 10 MWS that we can look for any calls made to Biz API services ? Not for errors, just to check if a call was made to one of the services directly. The calls are made to the service and we do not use any of the readers.The problem is the customer says they see duplicate connectivity in box messages randomly for some of the calls (the Biz APIs create a connectivity in messages). We are unable to replicate the issue in our environment and these Biz APIs have been running for a  long time in App 8 and has been upgraded to 10 now. The calls to the services are made from an external application the customer has developed. We tried replicating using Soap UI.

Hello, 1 hour time difference occurs in log files of IFS Server (managedserver, nodemanager etc.). Probably related to timezone. But i don't know what to do. Can you show me the way? RegardsBarış

Hello,The app is getting an error every hour(08:00-09:00-10:00… etc.). And it loses connection with the database.I checked the server logs(log file is attached). At the same time, I can see the error details. But I don't understand what caused the error.Any ideas?I can share what's curious. RegardsBarış

Hi,I can login to the application as IFSAPP and work without issue, but I can't use the same credentials to login to the DB.IFSAPP is not in the dba_users table either. How can we resolve the issue?I need to run SQL queries against the database that the application is using.I logged in as Sys and tried as ifsapp.XXXXX, but it also wasn't working. 

Hello, We are a Facilities Management (FM) company in the UK and we are starting to look into the possibility of introducing Augmented & Mixed Reality into our business.  We have engineers who are using Mobile WO to attend site to fix/repair/investigate issues raised in IFS. We would be interested in the use of augmented reality headsets such as Hololens to aid the engineers at site with the assistance of expertise back in the offices. I am looking for companies who have implemented such technology and advice or guidance on this subject area with the possibility of arranging a UK site visit to view in action potentially.  We are currently using IFS Apps 8, but we have plan to upgrade in 2021 or 2022.  Regards Shaun

Currently we have an event action which send out two attachments. Is there a possibility to combine these two documents and send as a one attachment.This is App 7.5 

How can I get long titles to be written one under the other in the lobby and columns? In order to both occupy less space and look more organized.

In the screenshot I shared as an example, when I click on the lobby column, I want a lobby with detailed rows to open. So is it possible to lobby inside a lobby? for example: clicking on the lobby in the first image, opening the lobby in the second image. (nested lobby)

Hi, We have developed a REST API that returns a json response with tags and values from IFS Database.Example:In above output message from the REST API,  we need to change the text of the tags( e.g. “NomDns” => "Nom_reseau").When we tried to change the name as required in projection file  or PLSVC  file of the REST API, it is throwing error as “mismatched token” Any help is highly appreciated.Regards,Srini

Where can we change the settings in IFS so that IFS IEE uses Edge as the default browser?  IFS IEE uses Internet Explorer as the default browser and the links to Teams documents have stopped working in the IFS IE lobby pages. 

i have created a custom field on Customer Order Header. The field is published but it is not displayed to users except SuperUser/privileged users. is there anyway to publish the custom field globally?

When I try to Install Service I am getting the following error:The installation failed, and the rollback has been performed.  Configuration system failed to initialize.Then when I Uninstall the service, I get this error:Failed to Unregister! Has anybody tried to create a Sales Quotation via existing REST APIs? Problem is that SalesQuotationHandling.svc does not have a ‘normal’ POST method to create new records. If I use log functionality in Aurena client to see which methods are called by the client, I can even see methods with do not exist in API documentation and also not in Postman after importing the API specification. E. g. Aurena client calls ‘SalesQuotationHandling.svc/OrderQuotationSet/IfsApp.SalesQuotationHandling.OrderQuotation_Default()’. But if you search in Postman, the only ‘Default’ function is not in ‘OrderQuotationSet’, but in ‘SalesQuotationVirtualSet’. Therefore, I’m quite confused. It’s even getting more strange: I tried same thing on a different environment (same version, same customer, but DEV instead of CFG) and there I have a normal ‘POST’ method to create a new record. So, why does API Explorer show the wrong information in one environment?

In Aurena running in language Swedish the label in the navigator is the same for the Detailed client as for the Table client for certain clients, example “Lagertransaktionshistorik”   Would it be a user improvement if Detailed clients have and Table clients have and Folder and Subfolder this

Hi everyone,we just upgraded to 22.2.2 and are developing our own extensions using the IFS Developer Studio.22R2 removes all the core code from the repository and you have to download them and include them via the project settings.Until now we were able to quickly search for a file using the navigator feature “Search in IFS Model Files”. This now only finds our cust Files. This is a major setback as scrolling through the thousands of files in the core section is a pain in the ***.  A similiar feature that does not work anymore is when you have a source files open, click a right mouse button and select “Select in Projects”. This used to select the file in the navigator. Useful if you were in for example a wrong file and wanted to select another one, similar name. This works only with cust files now as well…
