Do you have any recommendations or documents that detail what the minimum internet connection speeds/requirements should be for using IFS clients via VPN? Please provide any input based on your experience.

@Charith Epitawatta

Did you ever get a response for this?

I have some users in Europe who are experiencing IFS 10 client slowness….we do not experience this on site or at our US facilities.

@Charith Epitawatta Hi!

Did you check the following myIFS page(s)?

https://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/ProductBenchmarkingandSizing/SitePages/Sizing-Guide-for-IFS-Applications-10.aspx

There is a Network Sizing guide available for APPS10 at:
https://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/ProductBenchmarkingandSizing/Shared%20Documents/IFS%20Sizing%20Guide/ISGAPPS10/NSG10UPD6.pdf

This includes some guidance e.g. Bandwidth requirements.

You may also try reaching out to the people mentioned here:

@roklde

I cannot access any of the documents.

Thanks

Cindy

@chajash Hi!

Those are links that only IFS personal can access. I’m not sure if the documents are meant to be shared outside. Let me ask the site owner and come back to you.

Best regards
Roman

Hi @chajash !

Please find the “Network Sizing Guide for IFS APPS 10 Aurena Client” attached.

Keep in mind that this guide was created for Aurena Clients based on APPS10 UPD6. There could be changes to the given numbers as the Aurena Client was significantly improved since.
Further, see this guide as a rough estimate as determine the exact required latency/bandwidth depends on System Users and performed actions in your System. Therefore, the number given in the guide are no commitment and could vary.
A newer Version of the guide isn’t available as of now. However, if you require assistance on finding a network sizing that reflects your need feel free to raise a ticket in the Support Portal to request a Consultancy Service.

Best regards
Roman
