Product documentation link in IFS Cloud 24R1 doesn't work

I have a test environment deployed as our company is getting ready to upgrade from Apps 10 to Cloud 24R1 (remote). The landing page contains a number of links, including to Product Documentation and Technical Documentation. I know the link to Technical Documentation can be changed in the ifscloud-values.yaml file, but there seems to be no parameter for Product Documentation, and the System Parameter Base address for HTML help seems to have no effect. The problem is, the Product Documentation link navigates to a location like https://mytestifs.example.com/ifsdoc/documentation/en, and in normal circumstances, the web server would redirect to https://mytestifs.example.com/ifsdoc/documentation/en/ (with a trailing slash), but our server redirects to http://ifsapp-doc:8080/ifsdoc/documentation/en/, which of course doesn’t work. If I manually type in the URL with the trailing slash, the IFS Cloud Documentation pages comes up just fine.Has anyone else experienced this?

Intermittent DNS Resolution Errors inside of pods

Has anyone ever had some of their pods have seemingly random DNS resolution errors? I’ve been fighting to get CWS up and running in my instance for entirely longer than reasonable, and with IFS’ help, they showed me how I can gain access to a prompt within one of my containers. Transferring Engineering Parts in a Workflow

Hello Community! I am attempting to transfer engineering parts to inventory as part of a workflow. The process includes creating a record in the EngRevTransferHeadSet set of the EngineeringRevisionTransferHandling projection. When created through the UI, the record includes a non-null RecordSelection property. However, I cannot get the RecordSelection property filled with a value when created through the workflow. I’ve tried adding it in the Create action and through an Update action, and neither input has been accepted. I tried hardcoding the record into the projection action, and the record still gets created with a null RecordSelection value. Execute a workflow command on multiple records

Hi All,I’m trying to add a workflow command to execute on multiple records on a List page.I added the command on the List level so it will be visible for multiple selection Attempt 1:Add the key values from the contextResult:WF executed only for the last selected record Then I tried several different variable formats and then this error happens. Error is coming from the client and no server call occurs.Error looks promising but I couldn’t find any documentation regarding how to do it.Can someone guide on how to add command variables for multiple selection of records?Tested in 24.1.4@Lahirumala de Mel

Could you please provide information regarding the current values for both IFS session timeout and application timeout in the HA configuration?

Hi Application timeout logs out users after a certain period of inactivity. Session timeout, on the other hand, determines the duration of maintaining a connection when users access IFS Cloud in a high availability (HA) configuration, connecting to either server #1, #2, or #3.Could you please provide information regarding the current values for both IFS session timeout and application timeout in the HA configuration?Currently, I believe the application timeout is set to 60 minutes (the duration after which re-login is required if no activity is detected). In this case, what should be the appropriate setting for the session timeout value? Should it also be 60 minutes, or should it be set to a higher value?I'm asking this question for clarification and confirmation due to concerns that if the application timeout time (e.g., 60 minutes) exceeds the session timeout time (e.g., 30 minutes), there might be instances where users are redirected to another server before being logged out due to

Is it possible to refresh the Client form following a custom Event action.

In one of our customer’s Application, a custom event action will change the PO status following some updates in the form. Unknown form template class and Navigation target not found

Version Apps 10 update 20 We have a number of users experiencing this and similar errors when trying to access various screens in IFS. We have tried running the clean up scripts and deleting the contents of the 2.0 folder on their user profile but this has not resolved the issue. I have logged into IFS with their accounts on my PC and everything works correctly, but when I log onto their PC with my IFS account I also experience the same errors. Some of the errors include:Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: Explorer: An Unhandled Exception has occurred ---> System.ArgumentException: Unknown form template class: tbwMaterialAlloc. Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: Explorer: An Unhandled Exception has occurred ---> Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.Interfaces.FndFeatureNotFoundException: Navigation target i_hWndFrame is not to be found in the dictionaryThe current work around is for users to connect to a terminal server and run IFS from there.Has anyone else experienced this problem on screens including Shop Order

Application messages issue after upgrade

After upgrading from 23R1 to 23R2 SU8 our FTP routing rule to an external vendor no longer works. Application messages is showing an error message “No valid routing rule found” The routing rule does not look like it’s changed and it’s been working for a long time.I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the server now requiring https. Could that have changed the known hosts file?

Visual Studio 2013 and TLS1.2

Hi,One of my customer, with his partner, uses Visual Studio 2013 for their developments in their Azure cloud environments.They will have to upgrade to TLS1.2 because the previous versions will soon no longer be supported, but they have read that there are compatibility problems between TLS1.2 and VS2013.Does it mean they won’t be able to develop anymore once this change is done ?Is there a way to make VS2013 compatible ?Thank youFabrice

Command Group Visible Expression

Hello experts, I want to set the visibility of a command group according to the state of the record shown. I have tried this expression. It works fine. So the button is visible only for the records which doesn’t have the “Closed” state. However, when I try to add more than one states to this, the condition doesn’t work at all. So it is showing even for records with “Closed” state. Any advices/ tips are welcome. PS: I referred Condition Syntax - Technical Documentation For IFS Cloud documentation. Adding entity is not allowed

Hello, I would ask you a question, it is possible to add Custom Field, or Custom Object to the entity “InventoryPartsAvailabilityPlanning”? Because this entity doesnt exist yet and when I will create, in label for inputing entity name is letter limit 30 and this entity has more than 30 letters, it is possible to add in this entity some columns? Navigation parameter $action

I wonder about the syntax of the navigation parameter $action that is briefly described here: Lobby Navigation Guideline - Technical Documentation For IFS CloudIn the example in the guideline it says $action =ExportCompanySetup{InputTemplateId:$[TemplateId]} but I can’t figure out what ExportCompanySetup stands for. When I navigate to an assistant (Business Report) I do not manage to initiate it as i like, propably because I don’t write the parameter as I should.Is there any place where I can read a full description about how to use $action?

Customer Statement Of Account Print dialog error

Hi Community A customer is encountering an error when using the “Customer Statement Of Account” window in cloud 23R1. After selecting the options for the report run a print dialog pops up showing a list of result keys as shown: We select “All” and click “OK”. The debugger shows that it often (not always) misses one of the highlighted rows and instead sends one of the other id’s twice. I have included an example from latest run below. How to enable history log for a custom attribute of an entity in IFS Cloud 22R1?

After creating a custom attribute for an entity, it is required to enable History Log for that. For that following steps were followed. Test Plan:Create a “Custom Attribute” in the "PurchaseOrder" entity and publish it. Open the "History Log Configuration" page and search for Lu Name "=PurchaseOrder". Observe that only one entry is shown with Table Name "PURCHASE_ORDER_TAB". Expectation:Expects another entry - "PURCHASE_ORDER_CFT", so can enable logging on custom attribute. This used to work in IFSAPP10. See following attachment. But in IFS Cloud, it doesn’t seem like above. See following attachment.

Hello, After having read about what’s new in Financials 23R1, I came across some very interesting pre-build Power BI reports for Income statement and Balance Sheet. We have Analysis Models deployed in our environment. Apps 10 - No Zoom when Custom View is set for LOV Reference

Hello Everyone,I have created a new Table Window which is based on a Custom Entity I created. One of the columns is the Customer ID. In the Entity I have defined the Association to CustomerInfo, and therefore when I drag and drop the CustomerID to the Table Window from the Dataset Toolbox, the Column has the LOV Reference as Customer_Info, and the LOV and Zoom works well. I have created a new view (Customer ID, Customer Name, Customer Stat Group and Stat Group Name) based on a join of Customer_Info_Tab and CUST_ORD_CUSTOMER_ENT. When I set this view as the LOV reference to the column, (and after granting permission and refreshing caches) I can see that the LOV is working, but the Zoom is disabled. My requirement is to have the Custom View as the LOV, but Zoom to direct the user to the Customer window. Any ideas on how to achieve this? or any workaround? Best Regards,Devin

Incorrect values in IFS

Hello, I would ask you a question. I want to connect two views on their common column, which is COMPANY, like this: “SELECT a.internal_invoice_noFROM MAN_SUPP_INVOICE aINNER JOIN GEN_LED_VOUCHER_ROW_QRY b ON a.COMPANY = b.COMPANY WHERE a.OBJKEY = :objkey” and filter resuts by objkey, I want to display in entity “GenLedVoucherRow” column “Internal Invoice No” which is in view MAN_SUPP_INVOICE, but it retrieves incorrect values. How can I repair this query?
