Hi,  We have a customer that would like their technicians to be able themselves from the MWO to send an assignmed work task to the pool if they are not able to carry it out.Is there anyone who has had similar need? and if so what was the solution, if you will share ? Thanks,

Hi, when applying an AITP to a customers environment we’re seeing this eror.System.Exception: Exception thrown on thread - Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. (Parameter 'endMinutes')But when I upload it locally no erorr occurs?It seems the AITP upload is kiling the DSE services.. can’t comprehend why?Parameter is set, everything is ok with config.. but it seems to kill all scheduling applications? 

Hi all,I have two questions regarding the "Home Location" field on the Resources screen:Next to the "Home Location" field, the code "-11337" appears on every resource in every dataset. Could you please help me to remove this code? Additionally, I am facing a second issue, as the string in the field gets truncated after a certain number of characters. I would like to know how I can increase the character limit for the description of the Location’s fields. Please provide your inputs... Kind Regards. 

I wanted to share this document about scheduling in IFS Cloud covering PSO/ASO, Dispatch Console, and Appointment Booking. This is NOT an official IFS document, however it was created in collaboration with R&D and there is work going on to release something similar with the product itself. Hi Community, Our user has label of required fields set in red color. If I understood well, that is set in app-param = REQUIRED_LABEL_STYLE_ID. In our system, that app-param is set to REQUIRED_STYLE.But in Item Styles we don't set the REQUIRED_STYLE. Is there any other place to set it up besides the app-param\item styles? We have FSM6 U24.  Best regards,~Juni

Hello All, I am getting the following errors when launching a eForms in MWO.  The problem randomly started and is affecting all surveys.  Has anyone seen this error before.  I have entered a case in SNOW and I see another case with what appears to be the same issue. Currently onsite training and this had severely impacted the training.  

Created a data source not want to add filter into the data source but issue is when i am adding filter: user_def24 = IIF(ISNULL('$user_def24$', '') = '', user_def24, '$user_def24$') then it`s not taking the data from table where user_def24 is null into consideration. When i am adding filter: (user_def24 = IIF(ISNULL('$user_def24$', '') = '', user_def24, '$user_def24$') or user_def24 is null) then selecting one data from table it`s shows relevant data but with all rows which has user_def24 value null.   EEXPECTED BEHAVIOUR   When we are using filter then if a value is selected then data shows should be of that value and if nothing is selected on the parameter all values should be shown into table including null values.

Hi All, I have following situation with a customer. They sell modular equipment, so the complete equipment is produced as a part serial, and it contains multiple modules that are also Part Serials. All Part serials are defined as Serial Objects (the complete machine and the individual modules).  So after Delivery of the machine, IFS creates the Serial Object structure based on ‘Create SM Object’ functionality on the CO line. So all Serial Objects of the modules receive ‘Current Position’ = ‘Contained’. Now: after X months, a module breaks down. They work with local service partners that remove the module from the equipment and replace it with a new one (the replacement itself is not tracked in IFS, no WO exists, you only see a sale and shipment of a new module). The old module needs to return to their HQ for breakdown analysis and possible repair. They want to do this with RMA so they can easily track all modules that are coming back from all over the world.  problem: when you try to r

During my testing I found that when I’m taking the first survey (with attachment type questions) there is no issue, but in the subsequent surveys when they’re reached at the end and I’m saving the surveys. It is syncing the responses of the previous surveys as well, and it is happening for rest of the survey. For example, if there are 25 surveys and the first survey is synced to the survey 25 time the 2nd survey 24 time and so on.Here in this example: I’ve queried all responses for first survey (survey_id: 261), first question (question_id: 3295) and task id (61232), which should’ve only one response but in reality, there are 38 responses registered by server. August 2023 - Some customers have reported that their users are being forced through the Reinstall process that is normal when the back-end application is updated (ClickOnce functionality).There is an issue with the smart client reinstalling every time it is launched.  This is a known issue for click-once apps caused by an MS update earlier this month.  MS has since released a fixed version of that update that should prevent this issue.  More info here: Resolved issues in Windows 10, version 22H2 | Microsoft LearnThey also showed someone having trouble installing the client.  If the getting the fix described above deployed doesn’t resolve the issue, have the user click the “details” button on the dialog that pops up and that should contain the error to be reported to IFS on a Support case.

Using the Import/Export feature or the Person Copy feature to create Person records, the mobile_user setting of ‘N’ is being changed to ‘Y’.  Why is this happening?There is an App Param named MOBILE_USER_LICENSE_TYPES which identifies the license types that enable use of FSM Mobile.  Intending to be helpful, it sets the person.mobile_user = ‘Y’ automatically.The App Param named MOBILE_USER_LICENSE_TYPES overrides the person.mobile_user value set in Person Import or Copy Person function on Person record creation.The default value of this parameter is “STUDIO,NAMED,MOBILE”.  This parameter can be changed if desired to restrict the setting of mobile_user to fewer license types.However, if the App Param is changed to remove any of those license types, e.g., ‘NAMED’, it will not be possible to set person.mobile_user = ‘Y’ on a Person record with a NAMED license type.Keep in mind that a STUDIO license type is required for access to the Mobile Designer feature.
