Hello, RE: Apps 10 v4 The documentation states that “Documentation Text” can be added to customer invoices, however I do not see this as an option anywhere on the form (standard right mouse click on both the header and the line). It shows up on the customer order form as an option, but not the invoice. We are trying to add a note that will print on a specific invoice but not on anything else. Any ideas? Thanks Aaron

We would like to print a pro forma invoice for a given shipment but the option is grayed out. The shipment is in “Completed” status and we’d either like to print it manually by RMB in the header of the shipment > Print Pro Forma Invoice OR have it as an optional event for the shipment type. The help says that this should be as easy as RMB in the header and clicking Print Pro Forma invoice and the only prerequisites are as follows: The shipment must be in Complete or Closed status before you can print the shipment pro forma invoice. In order to print the customs value it must be manually defined for each customer order line. The customs statistics number will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective inventory part, non-inventory sales part and package part records. The net weight will be printed for both inventory and non-inventor

 does ifs provide management of certificates of conformance ? when we send goods, a delivery note comes with the shipment. for each part and batch, a certificate of conformance should also come along the shipment. for instance, we would like to have one delivery note and as many CC as there are parts and batchs in the shipment.  

We have multiple customer orders for a customer who would like an invoice per the delivery point. Is there a setting I can use in IFS to make that happen?   Thanks Bruce  

I have a Sales contract and I want to invoice 2 items coming from 2 lines. But IFS gives me the error “You are not allowed to use Tax Codes of type Tax with percentage greater than 0%”. But the settings on the address used are that this address can have tax and this is not set on EXEMPT. Anybody an idea which setting could trigger this message? Thanks in advance!

Hello! We have the following case. We want to use report rule to send invoice to our foreign customers instead of doing it with attachments in Outlook. Our problem is that the customer also need to get the delivery note (delivery note from shipment) in the same e-mail. Either as a combined PDF or as an second attachment.   Is this possible with report rule? Can it be used to collect both reports, when printing invoice?  We have IFS 10.

Good morning Community, we have been approached by a business partner for providing a regular BME Cat v1.2 format export from our parts. Does any one of you here in the community has created such an export or knows any solution we would be able to integrate / apply onto IFS to get this export generated in an automatic / semi-automatic way? Hello. I am looking into the setup of a Freight Price list for our US customer base. I have setup a Freight Map and Freight Price List for Fedex Priority, with the Zone Defined by Zip Code. This allows for a numeric range of Zip Codes as shown below.   This is working when a 5 digit Zip code is used. The problem i have encountered is when the Customer Address is in the ZIP+4 format (XXXXX-XXXX). In this case the Freight Zone is not found. Is there another way to approach this, or have i missed something in the setup?

Trying to figure out what drives the EDI 855 - Electronic Order Acknowledgement out of IFS.  We are already doing 810 & 856 outbound.   I set the Customer Master up as follows: Message Setup * ORDRSP   Order tab > Message Default tab * Order Change Management - Send Order Confirmation (checked)   I create the customer order through the Incoming Customer Order.  I get nothing outbound. I Release the customer order.(from Planned) thinking maybe it requires a Status change.   I still do not get an outbound file.   Requesting assistance on what I am missing from the setup in order to generate the outbound XML fie for Order Acknowledgements.

Hello Community, Just wanting to ask how do you measure your On Time Delivery from your order. What is standard IFS way to compare your 1st Confirmed date and Last confirmed date vs actuals to measure OTD. As IFS have Wanted, Target, Planned, Promised dates, but all of those seems to be possible to be changed until invoiced, how should OTD be measured with  IFS logic? Anyone has thoughs?  

We want to prevent certain customer orders from creating manufacturing demand.  Our intent was to sue Credit Limits or Credit Blocking.   Reviewing the documentation suggests Credit Limits and Blocking are used as a reporting tool for persons managing the account, and not for system prevention of orders being placed.   Am I misunderstanding? Is there a way to have the standard system block an order? If no, would a Customer Order SAVE trigger looking at the Credit Block flag be a good way to do this?  Other suggestions?   Thanks Luke    

Hi, I would like to know if there's any standard functionality available in IFS Application version 8 to maintain Sales Part Price  for a part Lot/Batch wise? For example, I have two sets of batches available for a single part in my inventory as X and Y. And I want to sell these parts in X batch for 1$ and Y for 1.5$. So when I create the customer and update batch no X in customer Order line, price should automatically comes as 1$ and when select Y price should come as 1.5$.  Let me know if there is a standard functionality available to satisfy this requirement. Hi Community,   We would like to hide the Print Bill of Lading from RMB context menu on the shipment screen but retain the ability to use the Shipment Bill Of Lading report from a custom menu option.  The reason we are trying to do this is because we’ve developed a bill of lading report that include everything within one report including hazmat information.  The built in RMB Print Bill of Lading context menu always brings up Shipment Bill of Lading and Goods Declaration ADR.  The linkage to the reports seems to be within the RMB context menu Print Bill of Lading.   If we could remove the link between Shipment Bill of Lading and Goods Declaration ADR that would be ideal because we wouldn’t need a custom menu.   Thank you, William Klotz

We’re seeing 2 emails being sent to customers for every customer invoice that is printed using the Bulk Print Customer Invoice mechanism, in Apps10 UPD5. Each email has an invoice PDF attached with identical content but each file has a separate filename (e.g. Invoice_0001.pdf and Invoice_0004.pdf).  This makes sense as to why 2 emails are being sent since it looks like 2 PDF files are being created for every invoice. So the question is why is it generating 2 PDF files for each invoice when printing invoices using the Batch Print Customer Invoices screen?   Any ideas or has anyone out there seen similar? We were originally using the Print/Send option but even with Print Only it still generates 2 PDFs and therefore 2 emails.  

I think I see where IFS will automatically attach Document Text to customer orders, based on the Customer setup, but I have been unsuccessful in making it work.  I’m hoping I am missing a step & it is possible.  I am looking for direction on how to make this work.   I am in the Customer > Order tab > Misc Order Info tab There is a Document Text box there that reads like it should insert the Doc Text on any newly created orders.  My efforts have failed.   Can anyone assist? Hello! Background: There are 2 sites (S1 & S2) each with its separate company (C1 & C2). Both have been configured to communicate for inter-site customer orders. When customer order is created on site S1 with supply code ‘Int Purch Trans’, a PO is auto created at S1 & an Incoming Customer Order is created at site S2 (which when approved, a CO is created at S2). Then CO at S2 is Invoiced/Closed with a part that is both Serial/Lot batch tracked. Now, GRN has to be done against the PO at site S1 to auto-reserve the part issued to CO at S1 via CO invoiced/closed at S2. Here, I’m facing a problem, i.e. the Lot batch Number & the Serial number aren’t being captured at the time of GRN. This process works perfectly fine if I do it for sites that belong to the same company.

We use intersite (internal) customer orders frequently and we just most recently started utilizing the IFS Shipment module.  We had a situation where we needed to undo the delivery of an order on a shipment; however, when using the Undo Customer Order Delivery, we received the message that this could not be done for internal customer orders.  Has anyone found a way or is there a way to undo customer order delivery for intersite orders?  

We have parts that are sold by the each, but our customer always buys them in case quantities (ex: 10 each). We cannot convert the 10 each to 1 case for various reasons, so I’d like to be able to use packing instructions to pack them in case quantities to avoid having the shipping personnel manually enter the weights and dims of each of the packages and then add the appropriate amount to the case. For Example:Part 82975 is shipped out as ten per carton in a 82122 box.I have created a Handling Unit Type of 82122 with the weights and dims of the box. We use this box on quite a few cases for this customer. I also created a packing instruction called C82975 which will then connect the 82122 box. I can then add the handling units using Apply Packing Instructions and adding the number of cases (in this example, 12) Then, I still need to add the ten each manually to the handling units to get the correct weights and dims. The ideal result is having the parts automatical

Example.  I have two shipment lines attached to a Shipment.  Line 1 with qty 10 has 8 in my first handling unit and the reminaing 2 in my second handling unit.  Line 2 of my shipment is not in a handling unit. Is there a way to complete this Shipment? 

Hello! I’ve a scenario in CRM where there a 3 users. CRM User 1 (only has access to Business Lead) CRM User 2 (only has access to Business Lead) ADM User (has access to leads created by CRM User 1 & CRM User 2. Additionally, has access to Customers/ Customer Orders). Now, CRM users only have to create the lead and perform business activities. The conversion of lead to customer and then creation of customer order is assigned to ADM user. But at the same time, ADM user must not be able to view all of the Leads, Customers as there will be other groups with 1 ADM & 2 CRM users(to achieve this, I’ve added the ADM user to Lead, Activity, Opportunity & Customer filters using Access Group). CRM users have to add the ADM user to each of the lead/ activity they create manually, so that it may be available to ADM user. (This is kind of a site based crm scenario which I’m trying to cater through Access Groups.) Is there any option to aut

Hello,  I’m having an issue understanding the workflow in IFS as it relates to Sales Quote generation. Currently, we are starting the process at Business Opportunity. An opportunity line would be entered for a top line part, which would be saved as a Non-Existing Part. From there an Estimate is created for the part. The calculation is made and the Business Opportunity is updated via the connected object from the Estimate to the Opportunity. In order to create a quote, we have to register the part using Register Non-Existing Part in Business Opportunity. When that is done, you can then RMB the opportunity line and create a Sales Quote. The issue becomes when you need to change the quote for any reason, the Business Opportunity is not also updated to reflect the change. If you adjust Contribution Margin on the Sales Quote, that does not update the Business Opportunity. Additionally, if you need to modify the Estimate, when you update the connected object to the Business Opportu

All too often, a customer will ask us about the relationship between the date fields on a customer order line and what one should or can be able to change and what the ultimate effect of those dates are elsewhere in the system. The help text can be rather unclear on these fields; target date on the customer order. It would be nice if we had a quick reference on these fields and what field should be changed and when. It would be nice to know what roles would or should change what dates. Thanks!

Hi IFS hero! I’m looking for documentation about the IFS module WMS Integration : Is this module linked to the IFS Shipments? What are the standard messages provided by this module? Is there any specific setup to be done in the IFS objects (customer, site, etc.) What is the configuration to do to connect to the WMS? Is there any webservice, or other technology?
