We have created a manifest (xml) from our test environment (IFS Cloud 21R2). Manifest is added to Excel successfully and the user can log on and load the FNDMIG job itself. But when trying to load the data this error occurs: Insufficient privileges, "SE_UNAUTHORIZED".The user has full grants in the instance.  

Re Data Migration Excel Add-in  Do we need to buy a separate license to use this ?

I am attempting to run a Insert/update into a specific container in the VIM module in Cloud 21R1.  To  ensure I have the right values I have created a lobby source to validate the information.  See attachment lobby data source.   When I unpack the file I get an error message reflecting ‘Error formatting numeric value xxxxx for Seq No  Any assistance on how to address this would be appreciated. on how to get around this challenge 

Data Migration Tool Kit (Have been majorly used in US side)IFS Smart Data Tool (New Migration Tool Launched around 2 months ago)

I want to bulk upload some new parts (part cat, inv part, sales part), structures & routings.I though there were some standard CSV formats & migration import jobs as part of  the “Apps 9 Toolbox Standard Data Migration Jobs” that allow you to just prepare the data in a specified CVS format and then upload using a standard migration job. Is anyone aware of this? Are there such standard upload CSV templates & jobs? Thanks

Hello All. I have some data in a flat file where columns A to C are header information and columns D to G represent line information.  Is it possible to use a master/detail migration on this data to import it into IFS as a header and associated lines without manipulating the data further? The data will come from an external system regularly so minimal manual processing of the data is a requirement.  Has anyone done this before and are you able to share the setup/config you have in the migration jobs?

A customer of has asked whether we can enhance some information displayed in the shop order work-guidelines by including information from a source reference manual.Currently not all operations are contained within a shop order routing or the work-guidelines, however technicians can access these via a Customer RMB into the 3rd party tool as the manuals are not stored in IFS but rather a central repository. The question is therefore is it possible via either Data Migration or IFS connect to fetch source data from an external system and then to insert it directly into the relevant container in IFS Apps10.   The reference needed to be passed between IFS and the source is currently contained on the SO Order Operation as a column.   It is understood that the source is not currently available as xml but rather as structured PDF!.

Hi,  Currently I’m having the need of updating data daily to inventory_part_planning view. And I was recommended to use INSERT_OR_UPDATE procedure for this. How can I selectively update just for some fields, e.g safety stock, order point? Much appreciated if someone has a user guideline for this type of procedure.   

We are in need of migrating employee clocking information from a client’s system to IFS. I’m trying to set up migration jobs to get the data into TIMREP_TRANSACTION. However I seem to have an issue getting the time stamp info due to the data format. In the view and the DB table, Time stamp (REG_STAMP) is of DATE type. To have the date and time in that format I had to use custom option in format cells in Excel. When I do that, I have to have the corresponding field in the migration job to get the data into the intermediate table as VARCHAR2. I tried DATE format but then the data cannot be loaded due to a format error.But then I get the following error, when I try the second migration job I’ve set up to get the data from the intermediate table to the actual database table.The source data migration job has the field as DATE type.  Clearly I need some sort of data conversion in between. But I’m struggling as I cannot figure out how to do it. I would really appreciate it if anyone has some

Maybe a stupid question, but what do I need to do in order to get back the task pane from the Migration Jobs when they are gone in Excel? When I close this screen, I need to disconnect and connect to get this back, I can't imagine this is the prescribed way to do this.

I have a requirement within the business that on an agreed schedule it will automate a process in IFS, where an external SQL based system produces a file which can be automatically imported into IFS and used to generate new projects. e.g.Step 1@19:00 the External Systems produces an external text file: Pipe Delimited and columns encompassed in double quotes ("")Step 2@19:30 IFS imports the data into a temporary tablestep 3@ 19:45 a scheduled event activates andValidates the imported data in the temporary table creates new Project records based on the data in the temporary table emails users to notify of any failed transactionsSteps 1 and 3 are in place, I’m having problems with step 2I have looked at the data Migration tool and can't see how to schedule and completely automate the steps in completing this, load file, save and importI have also looked at the external file tool and am a totally bemused by

Hi Guys Wondering if someone can help me with a data migration query.Scenario:As a part of Customer data migration, i am also looking to migrate Address types (Pay, Delivery and Document which is coming from view- CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS_TYPE)  Created a migration job to insert new Customers,  Addresses and Address types (third highlighted view as below)  Migration job works fine and creates first default value i.e. Pay   But to pass other two default values (Delivery and Document) I am replacing Pay with other two one- by-one and running the same job few times. Is there any easier way to pass all three value once so that i don’t have to run the same job thrice? Thanks in advance/D

We’re getting this error when updating a custom field in Customer_Info_Cfv created/added at data migration.It’s a simple update with just the CustomerNo and the new custom field, MS Set.Any ideas what to correct?

HiNeed to understand in FSM whether or not possible to migrate the Historical data. I mean to say that Previous year all requests which are even closed /completed  along with its transactions from’ Request to Invoice’  can this be done.  As the customer wants to decommission the old systems and data to be ported back on to IFS FSM.Any inputs to this will be of great help.Thanks in advanceSatwik G S

Is it possible to delete records from WORK_SCHED_ASSIGN using Data Migration and WORK_SCHED_ASSIGN_API.Remove__   Can anyone please advise how this is done.

We are using the North American Migration toolkit for a data migration and some missing basic data get loaded automatically.  (For example Organization codes). We need to get the list of these records and does anyone know about a view or report which can be used to fetch this information ?(** Note that “Data Migration Applications\Reporting\Auto-loaded Basic Data\Auto-Loaded Detail” does not show anything and I’m not sure whether this is bug**)
