Data Migration

Hi, I’m currently trying to load some GL entries into IFS Cloud 10, and I’m having troubles with balancing the voucher, and I think it has to do with having very large numbers inside the .csv file that I’m trying to load. I’m including an image below to show that although the column does sum to zero according to excel, I am still getting the balance error when I try to load. There are four entries in this column that are extremely large, for example one of them is “206177399998227” so the .csv file does some formatting to it (scientific notation, showing as ######## if I don’t expand the column, etc.) and I believe this is what is throwing off the load. I was able to load other GL entries that didnt contain these super large numbers with no issues. I think this is more of an excel question, but I wanted to see if anyone here has had similar issues, and if so how were they resolved. Thank you! 

Hello,I am trying to migrate the Sales Quotation line with a package part and the following error appears:I set up the Line_Item_No as “-1”. I also indicated ORDER_SUPPLY_TYPE_DB and CATALOG_TYPE_DBas “PKG”.I think the cost should be fetched from the existing Package Part Structure.Could you please help

Hi everyone,I am currently working on a migration project which is happening IFSAPPS9 to the Cloud. I am having some difficulties with migrating the Users we have in the apps9. I have migrated those we will use partially. What I meant while saying “partially” is some of parts are missing (IAM user), and that’s made those not functional users. In order to migrate the other data I couldn’t find the related table in the database (at least the view name which is written in the debug console). After that I though maybe I can add the columns in the source mapping. However, I don’t know the flags and constraints, It was mapped wrong I believe (Because of entering wrong flags). Overall,1- Where can I find the table name in database for IAM or at least how can extract the data?2- If I have the flags, Can I do that migration with migration job or your advice will be something else?3- What is the best practice for migration of users depends on your experiences?Besides that I am open for any advic

We are using Smart Data Manager to migrate “EQUIPMENT_SERIAL” and “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_TEST_PNT” which has a parent child relationship using field “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ”  This field value is an auto generated value and in the EQUIPMENT_SERIAL and there is no way to put newly generated  “EQUIPMENT_SERIAL.EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ”  to “EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_TEST_PNT.EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_SEQ” Is there a built in way in the tool to resolve this  

I have created External voucher for Fixed Asset object. When try to approve there is error Object has existing accounting transactions with code string that differs from the transaction to be created.How Can I delete or amend the line with error? I can’t do it on external load information. 

I have a file that I load using a MIG job of the type CREATE_TABLE_FROM_FILE.  The file contains a Task Sequence, Part, Quantity, Delivery required Date and 2 attributes that go on a Technical Class.I want to create one Mig job to load all the data into the MAINT_MATERIAL_REQ_LINE, the TECHNICAL_OBJECT_REFERENCE and 2 instances of the TECHNICAL_SPECIFICATION.I have triedbut it stops at the TECHNCAL_OBJECT_REFERENCE when it cannot set the KEY_VALUE correctly as it is MAINT_MATERIAL_ORDER_NO@10 || ‘^’ || LINE_ITEM_NO@10||’^’ and I cannot enter || in the Method  List Attributes Fixed Value column.I currently have this split across 4 jobs as I also struggled to get it to add 2 TECHNICAL_SPECIFICATION records when trying to group the TECHNICAL_OBJECT_REFERENCE and 2 instances of the TECHNICAL_SPECIFICATION only.  It kept wanting to update the same attribute instead of the second attribute. Any help greatly appreciated.

I am trying to update CUST_ORDER_TEMPLATE_LINE but am getting the error message ORA-20121: CustOrderTemplateLine.INSERT: Field [LINE_NO] in Cust Order Template Line may not be specified for new objects. How do I rectify this please ? ​​​​​​I have also removed the field from the update but it is not creating any new records just updating the records.

When we create Person in IFS Cloud Person>Communication Method is populated with email ID of that person. Now I have to update PERSON_INFO_COMM_METHOD2 view with information like Name, Description and validity. When i am updating it via DMM it is inserting a new record instead of updating it. I have also tried change source to ACC but then i am encountering error: -Method NEW failed : ORA-20110: CommMethod.METHODEX: Communication method E_MAIL with this value already exists for this name and address ID.I have also tried same with migration Job and used rule INSUPD and defined rule as update and then it is updating.I have also attached the Legacy File I tried to migrate.Any ideas on how to do it via DMM?

Hello Community!How does companies do mass import of inventory parts, purchase parts and supplier for purchase parts to IFS? Companies that has many new and changed parts and needs to update this frequently?  Like create a set of parts with multiple part numbers in one go. I understand that this is possible with migration scripts / tools etc. But when it comes more to a end user function. How are you doing that?

With regards to the deployment of our Microsoft Excel Integration Licenses and Plugin – there is a pre-requisite software required as you know - Visual studio 2010 plugin this is now unsupported by Microsoft and our Customer are not intending to package this up with our Windows SOE based on it being unsupported - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/visual-studio-2010Can you advise if IFS have issued an alternative to this plugin that is tested with your connector, IFS Data Migration Excel Add-in for APPS 10?

Is there a way to take document text  from supplier to purchase part and have it automatically add to new purchose orders?

Can we use external file assistance for manual supplier invoice  in cloud and i am not getting output option in external file assistance for ExtSuppInv  

Hey, I am trying to fix a broken excel migration job, but it keeps throwing the following error:Expected ',' or '}' after property value in JSON at position 222 (line 1 column 223) My issue is that I don’t know how I can check what the JSON file looks like that is created from the Excel file. Is there a way to see that, perhaps inside the debugger?Please let me know if you need more information regarding this problem to better understand.Thank you for your assistance in advance!

Hi database gurus,I work with the data structure in IFS for more than 20 years now.The last days I came across xxx_MV tables and wonder if there is a documentation of databaseobjects and the structure of what meaning do the single part of the names have.TMP = temporary, CFT = custom field table, CFV = custom field view, _TAB at the end of most tables in the ORACLE DB is easy.LOV = list of values, ok but I’m not shure why the IFS developers sometimes use this suffix in the table name, sometimes not. When you use “base data” every thing could be a “list of values”.Especially I’m looking for a meaning for the xx_MV tables today.Thanks in advance and have a nice day.Cu in the communityMichael 

Hi All,I’m trying to import Person records and I get this error:READ ONLY GRANTS FOR IFSINFOThis was working yesterday, so I’m confused.I’m using the view PERSON_INFO_ALL.The Users have migrated for all these records and the Company User records migrated as well.Any Thoughts?Thanks, Rob

Me and my colleagues are part of a project to ingest data from IFS to google cloud platform, where we collect and curate data from ifs and other systems in order to gain insights using PowerBI.We would like to access objversion each table in the client API, so that we can load data  hourly both incrementally and idempotently.But this field is not exposed in the API.One option presented to us was to add a custom field from the objversion, but this poses another problem, because custom fields are added in the CFT tabal, which mean they are not part of any index on the table. This means that each request to a table performs a full table scan, which we do not want for two reasons:   1. It is slow and sometimes times out   2. It is too much processing on the database.Another option would be to load the entire table each hour, but that won't cut it for obvious reasons.In our estimation, exposing the objversion as a field in the client API would solve our problem with minimal effort involved.

Hi All, I’m trying to do same data analyses about direct/indirect hours, therefore i tried accessing data which is shown in screen “Time Registration”. View TIMMAN_JOB_TRANS.I did this by the use of PL/SQL dev. I had not all te results i expected, so i viewed the time registration for another employee in IFS. After i had checked that in IFS, that employee also showed up as result in PL/SQL. So, it seems like the data is stored in the view afther i;'ve viewed it in IFS. Does anyone have an idea how to be able to see the data without opening the time registration screen for every employee one by one in IFS?Or any suggestions for another view is also welcome 😃this is the SQL query: select COMPANY_PERSON_API.Get_Internal_Display_Name(Company_id,EMP_NO),ifsapp.TIMMAN_JOB_TRANS_status.*from TIMMAN_JOB_TRANS_STATUSwhere company_id='***'and account_date= DATE'2024-01-29'and (HOURS_DAY1 >0)

Hi All,When migrating users, I get a strange result in the Description field.  Instead of the User Name, I get the contents of all the fields:I also can’t get the Web_User to populate into the User Email field 

Evening IFS Experts!I wonder if any of you can help me with a migration challenge… In IFS Apps 10 Aurena, manually adding a line to an Instant Invoice causes the “Tax Code” field to be auto populated. Our Sales Objects have no tax code on them, and so the Tax Code is taken from “Customer (page) > Address (section) > Delivery Tax Informant (tab) > Taxes (group) > Tax Code (field)”. When we migrate an Instant Invoice line, we need to replicate this function (i.e. the migration job also needs to read the Tax Code from “Customer > Address > Delivery Tax Informant”) but I’m struggling to work out how to do that. The field help for “Migration (page) > Source mapping (tab) > Default Values (field)” explains that SQL can be used and gives the following examples…substr(SOURCE_COL,1,25)decode(SOURCE_COL _1,'Y','Yes','N','No','No')Part_Catalog_API.Get_Description(SOURCE_PART_NO)Intface_Method_List_API.Get_Sequence_No('<sequenceName>','<valueType>')  I was hopin
