Community,  wondering what is the best practice to have warehouse staff alerted of certain parts when they are arriving at the dock.does IFS support prompting the note with precautions for certain parts? Thank you.

Is there a way to use conditional formatting to flag any duplicate entries in the demand screen within the Project Navigator module?

If you have at the Authorizing Routing Template authorizing by position users can’t see the potential authorizers if they don’t have quite lot access rights to that position in HR. Just seeing the user and name would be enough. Many customers are not willing to give so much HR access rights just for this purpose. Desing bug I suppose?If you don’t have any employee at some autorization step position what should you do with that step? You can of course forward that step to some one else but how to know that this should be done if you don’t even see the potential authorizers?

Procurement authorization rule is defined to use HR data in authorization steps. A person (employee) is found based on preposting information (code part B) from purchase requisition line, and with this correct name is found from HR Position and HR Organisation.The rule works fine, with the exception that Employee Name is not visible on Potential Authorizer view IF the user has not access in HR to those employees.THis creates a problem in procurement where information is needed about the person name.If procurement persons are granted access rights in HR on higher level then names are shown.Question is: when Organisational information is used in PR authorization template, how to present employee names in procurement without granting too heavy access into HR data in HR.Is there an access attribute in HR, that can grant show names for everybody, without revealing any other HR data.

Hi all, I have found very good information about the use of Acknowledger and Authorizer from a previous topic. This is now unfortunately closed for questions, as one has arised for me. Is it possible to put the Acknowledger on the PO?In our case, we have PO’s which needs to be approved by the PO requester before we receive the goods or services in the system. This could be done via the Acknowledger role I believe, BUT it will not always be the same person needing to acknowledge as this will change from PO to PO. Is it then possible to put a person as the acknowledger on the PO, so that will be taken into account when invoices is received and is in posting? And is it further more possible to have an acknowledger before the goods/services has been recieved? As this is also part of our approval process, that the person confirms the amount/quantity is correct. Hope to recieve some answers to this topic!

We are using IFS Apps 8.0, We have Scrapped a Inventory part in IFS 8.0 Test environment.Initially the On hand qty was 6 and now it has changed to 0 since we’ve scrapped all 6 quantities.We have undergone this testing in ‘Scrap Inv part screen’ in Test environment.Is it possible to retrieve the scrapped 6 quantities back into IFS stock.I have checked through +ve counting in ‘Count per Inventory part’, Can this be a solution to this?Or is there any setting for doing undo scrap?Please let us know if there’s any bug ID or fix which is already in place or provided, will be really helpful.Hoping to hear from the team soon!

PO has been created from Supply Request from a project activity through Project Misc. Parts. I am looking to split the resulting confirmed PO line into multiple releases for delivery date planning while maintaining the links from project supply request, quotation, requisition and PO.  The duplicate function that I would normally use to duplicate the line and adjust the quantity of each release does not carry the necessary links. Is this release splitting possible without breaking the project links and manually recreating them?

Hi, Does anyone know what the task (job) “Complete DP Data Refresh” functionally does and if it is an essential task to routinely schedule for a live running demand planner client? I have a demand planner manual that details the available demand planner tasks however it does not disclose the specific actual actions that are carried out by “Complete DP Data Refresh” task and the impacts/changes they have on the client. Thanks

While trying to change the promised date in purchase order line we are getting error saying that, how can i edit and enter the promised date. WIll this change reflect in connected customer order where created the po using purchase order trans.

As part of a carbon reporting initiative, from 2023 we are being asked to record the weight and material type of components being ordered. (currently an Apps 9 user).We use a mixture of purchase parts & inventory parts. However, the vast majority of our goods are no part order lines. I am trying to consider the best approach for a solution. I see on Inventory Parts there is a Weight Fied, we might just need to add a field for material type. Also custom fields on the no part order line tab for weight and material type is my current line of thinking.Is anyone else considering or have a solution in place for this? Any alternative ideas appreciated.

Hi, using cloud, how can we easily visualise the high level planning from DOP’s and projects? The question is quite simple: we want to visualize when DOP’s and projects will start and finish. Just with a bar from start date to end date. Not too much details, not broken down into different shop orders. Just a broad view of every DOP and project that is running, for example to show to sales or manegement meetings. Does IFS have such a screen?

I have question regarding Planning Method B and On Hand quantities.We use planning method B for inventory management on higher volume items. When a customer order line is entered using “Invent Order” as the Supply Code, the parts from stock are reserved. This makes the On Hand Qty remain the same (until shipping the stock, if I understand correctly) and the Availably Qty drop.The issue I have is the Order Proposal is triggered by the On Hand Qty falling below the Order Point, rather than the Available Qty. So if I have 6 months lead time, by the time the On Hand Qty drops below the Order Point, I might already be too late to purchase more stock to avoid back order.Could perhaps someone explain the replenishment process behind Planning Method B and why it uses On Hand Qty instead of Available Qty?Thank you!

Hello,We want to minimize IT’s roll controlling (by permission set) who can create purchase requisitions (PR’s).  As a matter of fact, we want to grant “Create New” PR to all users, moving the entire process to “The Business” (they control who is allowed to create PR’s).  How can this be accomplished?

Hi,Is it possible to change the Components for Purchase Order Line stored BOM alternate for an purchase order?Currently the system always uses the alternate '*', but I would like to use the alternate 'SPEZ'. Can I change this somewhere in the purchase order or in a purchase requisition?Currently, I have only seen that I can manually change the components and quantity here in the Components for Purchase Order Line. @Malsha Amarasinghe and @matt.watters, do you know more about this? Thanks for the help 🤗

Right now if you select multiple parts and move to TT, it creates different TT for each part. We would like to have all selected lines under one TT. We usually do not have our parts ‘Serialized’ but if there is a Serialized part maybe it can create a different TT for the serialize part and one TT for the non-serialized part. Has anyone come up with a way of doing the above request?

As all suppliers can be viewed by all in Supplier 360. Can i create certain suppliers can be made private to the business and only to be seen by named people through the supplier 360 view ? 

If you use suppliers webshop in Self Service Procurement portal are there some instructions what to agree (or how the set up at webshop should be) with supplier in order to get what you selected as Product Line back to IFS and if you have added suppliers part no to supplier for purchase part info should it be updated to the Product Line as Part no or not?   

How can we apply authorization routing retroactively for POs which have already been approved. example if our rule was disabled by mistake when the PO was released? No routing steps show up in order to reject the order. 

A purchase part connected to a supplier can be blocked from usage by setting the status to 'Not Active' in Supplier for purchase part/General tab.For an inventory purchase part,  we can block the part being supplied by changing the Part status in Inventory part/General tab.Is there any other way to block the usage of a non inventory purchase part and purchase parts not connected to a supplier? 

Dear All good day,This is a race environment. When we trying to open Demand Forecast page on aurena. it keeps loading. Multiple times refreshed the web page. Also I tried this in application server. But we couldn't get any output from the page. In IEE, that page loads without any issue and shows all the data. In aurena other web pages also work fine. Can’t determine what is causing this issue. Kindly I am expecting solutions or sugesstion regarding this issue from you.Thank you and Best regards 

Hi, I have setup multiple steps for Auth based on spend amount. For high dollar spends the system requires each step to be authorized in order to view the next step in My Purchase Order Authorization screen in Aurena. Does anyone have a method to only trigger the last step in these scenarios?

This may be standard functionality and something we just need to be aware of, but if we have manually updated a price on a purchase order line and then the line is updated for quantity via purchase order change order, this is also reverting the price for the part back to the price on the supplier for purchase part.  The result of this is that it goes unnoticed by the person transacting the change order and later causes an invoicing query when the prcie no longer matches the manually updated price given by the supplier.  Is there any way to prevent the change order from reverting to SFPP prices when a change to quantity is made?

Our users would like to see a sum of the Price/Curr field on their Purchase Requisition Lines (generated via a work order). We can peform and advanced query and sum the field, however I do not see a way of saving this setting onto a base profile, this means we would need to perform the search every time. Any way to keep this sum field always on? We are using Apps 9 and are on the latest update.
