Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

Hi, I have a scenario where we used to use planning method B to handle our stock parts, but now those stock parts sometimes will be purchased for project inventory using the PMRP process. Planning Method B does not get effected by PMRP, so we will have to switch that method. What is the best planning method to use to be able to still handle these stock parts (safety stock, min/max) while still being able to use PMRP to purchase?

In Payment Schedule for Purchase OrderWhen entering a schedule line for Pay Sched Line Type = “Retention” the user enters a Percentage of “10.18” but on leaving the field or saving the record the Percentage is rounded to 1 decimal place meaning that the Percentage is now “10.2” meaning that the Planned Amount is wrongly calculated as as 166,902.5286 instead of 166,575.2687 a difference of 327.25986 Can we amend the decimal places and if yes, where can this be amended.  Many thanks. JohnAPPS 10 UPD 22.

These two functions appear to accomplish very similar things in IFS. Are the only differentiations that one manages at PO header level (other at PO line level) and templating option (vs not)? If so why does Payment Schedule exist and not been deprecated? Curious to hear how others are using one or the other or both at same time.

how should be created PO with 100 lines and with different prices per pcs with 30% payment in advance?for services with 1 line and simple description we use milestones - for that line we add particular milestone with some %;but what about for materials? 30% payment in advance concerns the total amount of the PO; it means 30% concerns each line of 100; so for each line should be added milestones?

Hi,I’m wondering if it is possible in Apps10 Aurena to allow users to select pre-posting values on purchase order no part lines rather than using a pop-up window when the line is saved.Ideally, I’d be able to use the Page Designer to configure LOVs to show as fields on the order line itself, so the user can select the pre-posting values at the same time as entering basic info like description, price, quantity, etc.Please let me know if you have achieved this functionality using Page Designer and how I can set it up.Thank you

The use case scenario is the following:Selling parent part number X and the manufacturing process is instantaneous when delivering the final product. Objective:Upon processing a delivery order, automatically backflush the component inventory without a shop order being processed. The final product would need to remain with the top level sale part numberIn other ERP systems, able to issue the component material directly to the delivery order with the proper configurations. I’ve attempted phantom at the component level but it seems it still requires a shop order to process. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

HI Team,Requesting help here.I saw that we can receive shipment orders through generic receipt processes.I want to receive the shipment (created via shipment order) through the Incoming Dispatch Advice process to another site. I am aware that we can receive it through register arrival. Since shipment order used to send material between sites in the same company, I added the DESADV message on the company level and Send dispatch advice automatically toggle also enabled in site level. I can see my shipment sent the dispatch advice and delivery note is also printed. But I am not getting any records created in Incoming Dispatch Advice window. Did anyone of you followed this flow and does it work? Or Am I missing any key data? Thanks,CHamath

I have a normal PO with no associated Shipment, 4 No Part Order Lines - overall single occur Delivery Address, ONE of the lines uses the default delivery address.  Change Order created to change the price, description, and wanted delivery date on 3 of the lines and a new line is added using same single occur address.This PO was copied from another PO with pretty much the same information.When attempting to Update the PO, the ORA-20110 error appears. I don’t see ANY field in Supplier or PO called Delivery Type.  WHAT AM I MISSING HERE??

Is there any options in the market for Customs Duties and Tariffs related to a US Project?  Similar to the way you have the external applications for Sales Tax if you are implementing in the US?

I have open work tasks that will not allow me to “finish” them. The error reads, qty must be greater than zero. When I look at the material tab, it shows lines with a zero qty but will not allow me to close or alter them. Has anyone had this error before and if so, how did you fix it?

Has anyone come across the below error ?The Authorization routing template does not contain steps with enough authorization limit to cover the purchase amount on the PO.    

I have several layout in use for report id = PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP.  I have one of my companies stating that the layout looks very different for them vs most of the other companies.  How can I best determine what layout is ‘chosen’ when the user/company generates the purchase order.We are not currently using report rules for this report. 

Hi All, Is it possible to add multiple Project IDs to different PO lines through Project connections?Currently, system is not allowing to add different Project ID to different PO lines.We have to raise a separate PO for each Project ID connected PO lines.Getting the below error while trying to add the multiple project Id.So kindly suggest. Thanks in advance. 

Just curious how you would implement the following case.Customer purchases non-inventory sales parts for both internal as well as external purposes. Let's say monitors. On a purchase part for a monitor we are able to enter a purchase group. This purchase group would trigger the correct cost account using the posting controls.What if we would know the destination of the monitor upfront. So during the entry of the purchase order we know that the monitor will be used internally. The cost would be put against the internal cost account for the IT department. However the next time we enter a purchase order line for the same part (monitor), but we know that it will be sold directly to an end customer. Costing account should be a different one (cost of sales).I can't think of a standard solution in IFS23 and up.Do you have a tip (or a solution) how to implement this?

Hi all, The case as follows.A company is using Purchase Charges for:Duty TransportThose are connected to Purchase Order Line (material). Inventory valuation method for inventory purchase parts is Weighted Average, Cost Per Lot Batch + Transaction Based.So, the value for ARRIVAL transaction is calculated as: material price 1000 + duty 100 + transport 50 = 1150. This is fine.But from inventory part unit cost perspective they can only see total / accumulated value, always expressed as one single row having Cost Bucket ID - e.g. 110 or MAT (material cost)  = 1150. Is there any method to see inventory unit cost with “charges” precision as different cost buckets? They would like to know that under this total value 1150 there is 100 of duty and 50 of transport.Any ideas appreciated. PS. Already tried:Cost Source → there is no cost source type = charge RMB “

Hi,We would like to give an employee 2 positions so we can give 2 limits of purchase authorisation for one person using limit per organisation position.We would then have 2 purchase rules according to the coordinator.So dependant on the type of order, we would select the coordinator to call the right limit for that purchase authorizer.Is that possible or an employee can only have one position for purchase authorisation?Thanks ans Regards,Anne-Sophie

How to disable the 'Reprint Modified' option (Customer Invoice)? I've enabled the Debugger window and then disconnected _API, but still can't disable it.The problem is that if the user selects this option, then the new document appears in the 'Report Archive' (even though there has been no change to the invoice or customer). This causes a new document to be created in the database which has resource implications. 

Hi, I have a requirement in the US where my supplier is registered under one name that is shown on the W9, but the invoice received is for anther name.I think I can solve this by using a new supplier for the alternative name and having that as the invoicing supplier where required. However I wanted to know if there was a more elegant solution that is commonplace in the US market for this scenario?Platform is Cloud 23R2

I’m getting following error when un issue materials.“The sum of un issue quantity, qty scrapped and open MRB qty is grater than the issue qty” 

We use the Scheduled Database Task 'Automatic Receipt Dispatch Advise' to automatically receive incoming Dispatch Advises.Since Friday, we have been getting the error in the background job “The Inventory Part In Stock object does not exist. ORA-20111: InventoryPartInStock.NOTEXIST2”200+ lines are stuck with this error. How can we identify the part causing this error?
