About the Community

I have had a real hard time trying to search for topics on the community page. When I enter in keywords, it brings up all sorts of topics. It will bring up any topic with any of the keywords in the search and if I narrow down to just a few keywords, there are normally a few hundred topics.My suggestion would be to make the search engine more functional to bring back better results. Even when I go to create a ticket, all results that come back have nothing to do with my issue.I understand that the efficiency of a search engine has a lot to do with the user inputting a search, but I try to search all sorts of things and very rarely find an answer on the topic at hand. I feel like I know how to use a search engine well.

For some of our purchased parts the Inventory Part Currently On Hand - Total Supply Purchase Orders quantity is doubling the open PO Lines. The example part there is a quantity of 13 on customer order and purchase orders, but the Total Supply shows 26 (doubled). Checked all the purchase order lines, 2 lines are closed received completely and one line open for the 13 pcs.Also checked the Inventory, Sales and Purchase parts and Suppler for Purchase Part for conversion factors and everything is set to 1. Our team use this screen often and need to rely on the information. This is only recently been discovered, been using IFS Apps 10 for a year. Worth noting it’s not on all the parts just a handful of parts that are pass through and not on any structure and purchased with the same supplier.

Hi, I couldn’t find a resource containing the information that we’re looking for, so I thought I’d log a question here.Our organization has a development and a production environment. We were wondering if there is a way for changes done in production to be automatically replicated on the development environment? In this case, we’re mostly wondering about changes that technicians may apply to singular Items, user profiles, etc. It would be great if those changes could be replicated in development automatically. Is there a feature for this? Does anyone have this set up? We are currently on version 11.2.3, soon to be updated to 11.7.2.

Our platform team is preparing for IBM software audit and found IBM XL Fortran 15.1 software in AIX server where IFS 10 Prod is being hosted. Is there is any dependency of IFS application on Fortran Software Runtime Libraries. If not then, can it be uninstalled safely?

Hi,During testing I implemented some conditional formatting which produced an error.The only actions available are "reload", "details" or "go to home page".How do I reset this setting.To resolve it, I deleted the user and recreated it. (not a good solution)Kind regards.Mickael CORMIER

I am having issues being able to grant access to be able to print MRB report to users. They have full access to the MRB cases screen (Mrbcaseshandling). They receive this message however, “You are not allowed to execute the report” As IFS app, I can select the print MRB Report tab and it opens a screen called Report Format and Output, but the projection for the debug console still shows MRBCasesHandling. So I am not sure how to find the projection that needs granted to be able to access the Print MRB Report tab.Any suggestions/help would be appreciated!

Is there any way to do this?As I understand it, by default all assyst users(service desk agents) all go in one pool of available chatters and they are assigned contact users to respond to on a round robin basis. However, consider that we have a HR department and a general IT department and we want contact users who initiate chats from a HR ticket to go to HR agents and IT tickets to go to IT agents. Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi,Would like to find out if I can stop myself being allocated any items when I am not working. For example when on annual leave. Don’t want anything being passed to me that would exceed the SLA, before I am able to look at the item. Thanks.

I aim to have the row highlighted in a specific color based on whether the checkbox is checked or not.  There is a possibility to add an image as background for a lobby element:IEE lobby element: Couter with following parametersparameters adjusted in IEEResult in Aurena LobbyIt seems that this behavior in Aurena is a bug. The expected effect should be a 10% transparent image mixed with a 20% transparent yellow background. In IEE it is ok, in Aurena not.Addition there is a second nearly similar effect: A list-element with a transparent background color works in Aurena as expected. But if you expand the element to fullscreen the transparent effect disapears and the fullscreen looks like a color with 100% transparent paremeter instead of for example 20% (as it is with normal size)Is that a feature or a bug?

Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me, we have run into an issue and our assyst Admin is unable tor resolve it.Essential in the DEV environment, I am trying to demo how a process works, I’ve been added to all the SVDs in the process, but when I try to close a task, I get a rights error. Another user has the same issue. even if I re-assign the task to myself. I also noticed a discrepancy in the error messages depending, if I tried to close the task in assystWEB, or from the Process Manager App.Detailsin assystWEB I receive this errorYou do not have rights to amend this processes - the event to which it is attached is not assigned to your service department.One or more of the above errors was generated attempting to create Task Events from the process 'Account:Delete'. Hi, I already have access to the IFS Community with my work email address and a user name. I am now trying to register for the service centre for support purposes as well. If I try and register for that, it says that I already have an email address registered for that, but if I try and login to the service centre with my email address registered for the community, it says that email account is not a valid one. I cannot find any option for people like me already registered on the community site to additionally register for the service centre / customer support and FTP with my  same work email address . 

Currently, when an email is received, the format of the contact's name is as shown in the screenshot below -   The original format in the received email, as seen in the above screenshot, is lastname,firstname.   Panel creates the contact in the same name format - Is it possible for the name to be automatically formatted as FirstName.LastName in the panel without requiring the user to manually edit the first/last names in the panel? So that when they create a customer contact via the panel, the name format is correct.

We have several Sites on our IFS system.  One of the sites, I get an error that states User is not authorized to cancel an invoice.  How do I add myself as a user to cancel invoices?

I am in the process of setting up users to report their employees times using the time card. I have provided access to the TimeCardManagerHandling projection and still does not give them access. I have tested other projections as well and all still gives them the same error about not having granted permission. I am not sure if there is a better way than the debug console to help find the projection I am looking for. Thanks.
