I tried submitting a case with IFS on this but was advised to try here first. Please advise if anyone is able to help with what we are experiencing below. We are hosting ourselves on-prem and recently upgraded from IFS 9 to 24R1. TL;DRThe <server> cluster is in HA mode but it is not using the typical robust cluster state database software that we would expect in a production ready environment (using Etcd). In addition to that, each node refers to itself for the Kubernetes API instead of a load balanced IP address in the event a node goes down. This is symptomatic of a non-production/non-enterprise setup. Microk8s is best suited for small, single node implementations and/or local development. It does have addon features to provide HA and other production style features, however, those features are not very robust. This is how IFS chose to package their product, and they don’t appear to offer any other on-prem options. So, we appear to be stuck with it as is. As a reference for the
Hi Team, we are going to upgrade IFS 9 to IFS cloud . it should be via IFS 10 & then IFS cloud . Anyone have done the same & could you Please share the steps for same with script. RegardsSuraj
Hi,We are working on upgrading our IFS 10 UPD 22 version to IFS Cloud 25 R1.Upgrade. This will be On-Prem to On-Prem UpgradeWe would like to know whether the database upgrade can be performed in a customer-hosted (On-Prem) interim environment rather than doing it in an environment hosted by IFS. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide some insight into this matter.
Dear IFS Experts, We are currently upgrading two IFS customers: one from IFS 9 to IFS Cloud and the other from IFS 10 to IFS Cloud. Both customers are already hosted in the IFS Managed Cloud, and they will continue to be hosted there after upgrading to IFS Cloud. This means we cannot upgrade directly on the IFS use place production environment in the Managed Cloud. Instead, we have to use an interim database outside of the Managed Cloud to run the upgrade scripts. This approach requires us to: Export (Data Pump) the current database (based on IFS 9 or IFS 10). Upload the dump file to Azure Storage. Download the dump file from Azure Storage to the interim environment to prepare for the upgrade. Import the dump file to the interim database. Perform the upgrade. Complete all validations. Create an Oracle PDB Archive file as per the IFS Managed Cloud procedure. Upload the PDB Archive file to Azure Storage. Download the PDB Archive file from Azure Storage to the IFS live production environm
Hello everyone,In IFS Cloud, I would like the rows in tables or lists to appear in a zebra pattern — meaning alternating white and light gray backgrounds for better readability. How can I achieve this? Are there any examples or best practices available for implementing such a style? This feature is very important for the development work I’m doing.Thank you in advance for your help!
Is it possible to upgrade to IFS Cloud 25R2 directly from IFS Applications 9?
Hello all; In one of my recent upgrade projects involving an 8TB Oracle database, I observed that the import operation is taking approximately 62 hours to complete. Within this, importing INDEXES alone consumes around 21 hours, and importing CONSTRAINTS takes about 24 hours. I am looking for best practices, tips, or any suggestions to help reduce the overall import time, especially for these long-running segments. If anyone has experience with speeding up large database imports or optimizing the import of indexes and constraints, your insights will be highly appreciated. Currently, the import is a major bottleneck in the upgrade timeline, and any guidance on parallelism settings, pre/post-import tuning, or other techniques would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!Note:Here I've used PARALLEL=30 as well [ 32 CPU Database server ] INDEXES CONSTRAINTS BR!/Dilshan
Hi All,A Customer has set up user log in using SSO (Azure AD) for IFS Cloud access, but the current setup requires repeated manual login clicks. Is there a way to disable repeated prompts? Thank you!
Hi,We are in the middle of upgrading to 25R1 SU3 from 24R2. In all installations to test-environments so far we have experiecced a bug, the login fails a day after the installation has been done. Before that it is possible to login. Anyone else who experienced this issue? We have case CS0437713The RnD team has identified this as a defect within the IFS Cloud Application, and they are currently working on a solution, and solution is planned for the following versions.IFS Planned Version: 25.1.6 - 25R1 SU6, 25.2.0 - 25R2 GAUntil a permanent solution is provided, the current viable workaround is to restart the ifsapp-iam pod. The RnD team is also working on an alternative workaround in parallell, as the existing one is not sustainable.Kindly Marie
Based on our findings, there are typically several methods available to update permission sets following an update delivery. However, given the substantial volume involved—802 Security Objects associated with 379 Functional Roles—we believe that providing a set of scripts for the bulk update of permission sets is the most efficient and practical approach. That said, we would appreciate clarification on the following points: What are the limitations of the scripts? How does each prompt behave differently during execution? What are the recommended approaches for the team to test the scripts in a suitable environment ahead of deployment? .Best Regards,Dilka
Hello, Is there any way to add more information to the my work calendar view for MWO users? It is very limited, our users prefer this view, however it displays very limited information.
Subject: CVE-2021-44228 Still Present in IFS Remote Cloud 24R2 FilesHello,We are currently deploying IFS Remote Cloud 24R2, and we have identified that some files available on lifecycle.ifs.com still contain the Log4j vulnerability CVE-2021-44228.Since Oracle is distributed by IFS as an OEM, we do not have direct access to Oracle's patching services, which limits our ability to apply standard Oracle CPU patches. We would appreciate your guidance on the following points:What remediation options are available for environments where direct Oracle patching is not possible? Is it safe to manually remove the vulnerable components, such as JndiLookup.class, from the affected .jar files? Has anyone else encountered this issue during deployment of 24R2, and how was it resolved? Are there updated packages or scripts available from IFS to mitigate this vulnerability? We are particularly interested in best practices for removing or neutralizing the vulnerable files without impacting system stability
Hi Experts,Is there a way to export multiple ACPs together? We are looking to export ACPs from one environment and import them into another, and would like to know the best and fastest way to handle this in IFS Cloud 25R1.Your advice on the recommended method would be much appreciated. @Jaya Janardhanan Best Regards,
Hi, Is there anyone has experience with customers’ LTU licenses for IFS Cloud? Based on IFS standard documentation, to enable user consume LTU license, only by connecting the users to LTU permission sets. But when customer purchase LTU license on IFS cloud, there is no LTU permission set available to chose from. Where could customer / partner get the LTU license for IFS cloud? and how to enable it when available? Thanks, Sutoto
Hello Everyone,We recently upgraded our environment from IFS Cloud 23.2.9 to 25R1 (25.1.3). After the upgrade, we are facing issues with Demand Planning server jobs.Error observed in logs: ORA-00904: "INVENTORY_PART_API"."GET_PART_STATUS": invalid identifier IN SELECT PART_NO, CONTRACT, SUBSTR(PART_NO,1,4), ifsapp.COMMODITY_GROUP_API.Get_Description(SUBSTR(PART_NO,1,4)), ifsapp.INVENTORY_PART_CHAR_API.Get_Attr_Value(CONTRACT, PART_NO,'TYPE'), ifsapp.INVENTORY_PART_CHAR_API.Get_Attr_Value(CONTRACT, PART_NO,'TYPE'), ifsapp.INVENTORY_PART_API.Get_Part_status(CONTRACT, PART_NO), ifsapp.Inventory_Part_Status_Par_Api.Get_Description(inventory_part_api.Get_Part_Status(CONTRACT, PART_NO)) FROM ifsapp.INVENTORY_PART WHERE CONTRACT = :1 Symptoms The Demand Planning server is up and running, but some jobs fail with the above error. When we run the same SQL query directly in the database, it executes without error. The error only occurs when the Demand Planning server executes the job. Questio

Hi All,I was working with lobby navigation from the past month and noticed that when we navigate to a screen that has that tree level structure for example: “Project Monitoring”, Resource Management > Resource > “Resource Details” etc. after navigating to the screen I can't populate the tree view and it's just showing the data without the tree view expansion option. Just want to confirm whether it is IFS limitation or there is some way, but I am missing it! Best Regards,Vishal J
How are companies performing any releases with IFs?
During the installation of the IFS ingress in 25R1 release update the following error was encounteredError: Kubernetes cluster unreachable: Get "https://xxx-xxx.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net:16443/version": dial tcp: lookup xxx-xxx-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net: no such hostThe hostname xxx-xxx-mw01.nn35x032ja3upffgyg4pykxrbb.zx.internal.cloudapp.net could not be resolved to an IP address from the management server causing network communication failure with the Kubernetes API server. A customer are currently using SSO with Multi-Factor Authentication, and when IFS Support needs to assist with debugging in their environment, dedicated accounts must be created. This process is taking significant time, causing delays and frustration. The project is now in a critical phase, and any delays in addressing support cases could jeopardize the planned Go Live.Could you please advise how Unified Support typically handles this situation with other SSO customers, and if there are alternative secure approaches we can propose?
HelloI meet an issue when trying to publish new custom field in LU OutgoingInvoice next to the other published already. But, unfortunately i got an error PLS-0020: identifier … must be declared. I assumed something got wrong with the whole LU Custom Fields, then i unpublish the only existing.Unfortunately, when trying to publish the newly created i’m getting above error, but when trying to publish the one which was published, i’m getting: There is no issue to deploy/publish custom fields in other LUs.I assume -942 is an ORA 00942 table or view doesn’t exist error, then when look into body of the CUSTOM_OBJ_SYS.Grant_Privileged_Users__ procedure the only suspicious thing is reading from system view dba_users.What could be a reason behind these issues? Best regards,Wiktor
