Upgrades & Updates

Does anyone know when re-certifications for 2023 will be avaliable in academy. It just states ‘comming soon’ which has been the case for the last couple of months.   

We are using Apps10 and have installed the log4j-core-2.8.2.jar.  Our security monitory software is now saying this version is vulnerable and should be updating to version 2.17.2. Is this update available from IFS?Thanks, Michelle

After upgrading form Apps 9 to Apps 10 a Business Reporter report for Chart of Accounts balances however displays additional accounts with null values in the Apps 10 report.All the values are the same along with the overall totals it. Has anyone else experienced this, if yes, how did you resolve the issue? Thank you.

Curious as if anyone knows of a known issue in IFS10 regarding a SQL quick report used in a custom menu with bundle execution check box set.I have the same custom menu and sql quick report functioning in IFS9, but in IFS10 we get the error “Failed executing statement (ORA-00920: invalid relational operator” which is the same as any where clause error for invalid relational operator. Has the operator changed in IFS10 (&) or is there a permissions set needing to be updated?Thank you.

Hi All,  We are just about to start a remote deployment and looking through the documents I can see nothing on recommended disk sizes per VM or number of disks per VM.  Is this something that anyone has seen or is there a recommended config? Thanks

Hello, ich have a customer who uses IFS App 7.5 to print reports. Everything worked fine until the user received a new computer running on Windows 11.When a report from IFS is printed following error appears:Error encountered loading library RDWI15.DLL.The printer ist installed correctly and office documents can be printed normal.Did someone face the same problem?BTW all priviliges are set correctly.Best regards Kai

IFS10 Login page takes 15-20 minutes to login for all user

Hello all.We are upgrading from IFS10 to IFSCloud.  Currently we receive EDI 850 (inbound customer orders).  I am trying to test/verify set up in the new Cloud environment.  The issue with my 850 Routing Rules and Destination Address selection.Current Setup in IFS10 below IFSCloud.  Not able to select same Destination Addresses as above (not available ) Not sure what needs to happen or what changed. Any help would be appreciated.   Thank you.

Hi, my customer is running IFS10 UPD9 at the moment and in that environment on Database Objects engineering_part_revision_api is not visible and cannot be selected or unselected. Does anyone her knows from which update this was available? I know it is visible in UPD16, but I want the exact update number and the notes related to this bug/patch. thanks,Kurt

Please correct me if I'm wrong: Astea would be integrated in IFS Cloud.I have somewhere read that there would be more information on this at the end of May2-2023.I've just checked the Roadmap Spring 23 - 24: the word ‘Astea’ and/or 'Alliance’ are not mentioned.Can someone give me an idea if integration will be done and if a milestone plan is available if it will be integrated.

Hey everyone,I have been tasked with documenting our customizations and configurations and I am hoping the community can help with something. I am starting with our custom fields.  The idea is to hand a document over to the business and have them tell us if the field is still needed/used. In order for the business to make that decision, they will need to know every instance of use of that custom field.  I am trying to track down any and everything that has a dependency on the custom field.  We want to ensure that we do not break anything the business is still relying on by getting rid of the custom field.Basically, anything “downstream” of the custom field that is dependent on the existence of the custom field.   For example:Events/Event Actions that use the custom field Lobby Data Sources  Database packages, stored procedures, functions, etc. All types of reports Operational Reports Quick Reports Crystal Reports etc. Custom Menus Custom Pages and Tabs Other custom fields  Read Onl

Recently a manufacture retired their manufacture no (#) and it needs to be updated on over 900 IFS Part No(#)’s.Is there a way of doing a mass update on the Part Master Data> Master Part> Part Manufacture>Maunufature Part Numbers screen or another area in IFS?Thanks!

Hi,We are applying UPD 18 to a customer and facing some issues in build. _ant_compile & _ant_generatedb fails due to missing java files, fragments, projections in multiple components.I have tried with a clean build as well but still these errors occur. Most of these missing files have been updated in earlier UPD version for example UPD5 (or base even)  but not in UPD18. _ant_generatedb errors example _ant_compile errors example Has any of you come across any similar issue? Really appreciate if anyone can give some insights as in what might be wrong and what needs to be done to correct it.  Thank you./Nija

We are trying to show some simple stats to push for an upgrade to cloud.The cost difference is huge and it would be good to show how many are making the leap. Especially per country or version!  Does anyone have any good stats I could share?

Hello, We are running on Apps 10 and use Crystal Reports for some things. Once in a while, we have a hiccup on print manager where jobs are stuck. The only solution we have found is to restart the print server and then restart the jobs once they go into an error status. Does anyone have a faster solution to this when it happens. It’s annoying to have to restart the server each time. Thanks!

I keep seeing references to an admin page. However, ours doesn’t have one. IFS App 10 update 13. How do I find it / get it? We read that you can turn off multiple supervisors there.  Thanks

PSO 6.11.0.13 was released in April 2023 with some updates and enhancements to improve the stability and functionality of the system.  The attached release notes provide more details on what’s included.

Hi,I may be missing information, so please help me understand the situation.In one of the posts, there is information that IEE opens lobby links in a light version of Interne Explorer (not configurable). Since the support for Internet Explorer 11 ended on June 15, 2022 and Edge is recommended as a replacement, is there a plan to make a change to lobby links, so that they open in a supported browser?What to do with the errors that users get currently when clicking in a link in IEE due to the browser incompatibility?
