IFS Solutions

Our Engineering team is trying to enter technical drawings for parts and then find out where other users can access them in IFS.  For example, where can a Buyer see the drawing to send to a supplier?  Where can the Shop Floor see the drawing for specs etc in production?

In Apps9 we can quickly create object connections between a document revision and multiple objects (for example several Shop Orders). When adding a row in the Objects tab in Document Revision window the Connect Object dialog appears and I can choose an Object type and then search and select multiple rows to connect to the document revision.I can’t find this functionality in Aurena (Cloud), hope someone could help me!

Hi Experts,I am setting up a Self service procurement catalog(SSPC) only by using Hosted supplier catalogs(HSC) as the source of supplier parts registered against this SSPC. As per my observations, ‘Categorization Basis’ defined either in HSC or SSPC has no effect on this scenario when it comes to categorizing these supplier parts in ‘Employee self service portal’. Because in this scenario tab ‘Product Lines’ in SSPC is empty (no value in field ‘Category Assortment Node’).Has someone also had this observation? or have I missed something. Could this be a limitation?Thank you,Roshan

Hi,I created an “email report” rule to rename the pdf associated with the email send in Purchase Order screen.But 2 emails are send ! The standard email and email from the new report rule created. In the documentation, for report rule action : “email report” it is said :“This will not override existing routing e-mail destinations unless you specifically skip the standard job email.”Do you know how “skip the standard job email” ? Thks 

When setting up a default printer for certain documents, how should the application parameter be configured for it to correctly point to a printer? As I understand it, the printer should be configured using ‘printer’ value in the global code table -However where and in what format? Is it looking for the path to the virtual printer port on the server.. the network path? Thanks for your help!

Hi All, We’re looking to upgrade to IFS cloud in the future (from IFS 10), but a major concern is the lack of support for Kaba.   We rely on Kaba terminals to capture our clockings for our payroll and flexi balances.  We can’t use Time Clock because more than 50% of our users never log onto a computer. They simply swipe their card against the terminal when they come and go.Has anyone upgraded to IFS cloud and continuted to use their Kaba setup?  Or if it’s not possible can anyone recommend any other terminal providers and how they connect with IFS Cloud? Many thanks, Scott

If I forget my pin code and am unable to access my IFS MWO Service App account, is there a way to reset my pin code so that I can access it? Preferably a way in a browser IFS environment. 

Create two projects witch structure, exactly the same. Next, try to copy resources from one subproject to another. Try saving records but error pops up "The Activity does not exist" but exist.The reason for this is missing Activity Description, it is mean, IFS no serching Activity Id before saving.When use CTRL+k in Activity Id field, description apear and record can save. This manual work would be time consuming.Any idea, how to fix this issue?  

When trying to create a new service request for a serial object in the IFS MWO Service app, no customer information appears in the customer field on the service request form. All other information (Service, Service Org, Service Deliver Unit, etc) shows up as expected. Does anyone know why this may be happening, and if so, how to resolve it?

I’m trying to invoke a rest endpoint and I want to pass 2 HTTP: headers with dynamic values. So I tried generating the values for the headers in PLSQL and pass on to http_req_headers_ parameter in Plsql_Rest_Sender_API.Call_Rest_EndPoint_Json_Sync. However I can’t get that working for more than one dynamic HTTP header. Of course I can define multiple headers in the routing address but I have two with dynamic values. What is the separator I should use here? This is how I have added one dynamic HTTP header to the request, but the header ‘Idempotency-Key’ defined as static in the address should ne handled dynamically in PLSQL but I can’t find a way of concatenating ‘Authorization’ header and ‘Idempotency-Key’ header.

I need some help regarding a flow. we have 3 Design objects as below, where PIPE01 and PIPE 02 are connected to a parent design object called "FAB_PIPE-PACKAGE". so those are still in Design object as status Under Design. PIPE01 and PIPE 02 has materials connected as SPOOL 1 and SPOOL2 as additional parts (and I want them to be added in work task as material demands.)   Now I need to create a work order and send to b2b portal. can we create a one wo for parent design object and add 2 tasks for child design objects each PIPE01 and PIPE02 and then can we get materials in to each work task as SPOOL1 and SPOOL 2 ? The expectation is to handle the work tasks through b2b portal after tender is approved..Design Object status- Under design (can we handle this flow from that status?)Need work tasks for each PIPE01 and PIPE02.what is the best solution for the above scenario.
