Hello, We are working on an integration with one of our business partners using the BPA workflows offered by IFS Cloud (We are on 23R1). All the logic is in place and is working as intended, but the BPA fails for “large” datasets. We are using the REST Call Task to send a web request to our partner’s API. The request body/payload cannot be stored as a string because when there are many items, the requestBody would quickly exceed the 2000 character limit to be stored in the Oracle database as a string. If it were to be stored as a string, we would receive a persistence layer exception at the end of the workflow.Instead, we are storing it in a process variable called ‘requestBody’ as an object.The request body field of the REST Call Task requires a string, so we must convert the JSON object to a string using Camunda Spin: JSON(requestBody).toString() in the task.This works perfectly for “small“ payloads. Our custome has a WO connected to a project which for the most part is a lump sum that will be invoiced from the project.  They also have standby time that is not part of the lump sum.  This time gets billed by the hour.  Rather than invoice this through a customer order, they would like to invoice this from projects.  This will allow them to incorporate project specific sales pricing and incorporate the use of our multi-overhead functionality.  The solution is to create a project transaction by registering an employee cost and the effort to do this is tedious and time consuming and prone to errors.Have you experienced this kind of thing with other customers?  Do you know of a soluition for this?  Right now we have a modification proposed and it is a bit expensive.Thank youPatrick

 Good afternoon, Does anyone know how to change the FSM Customer Portal password requirement settings?  When a user tries to change their password to anything greater than 10 characters, they receive the following message:  “The new password value is invalid. The password cannot have fewer than 6 or more than 10 characters”.   This contradicts with our password policy, and with the IFS FSM application settings.we have the “PASSWORD_VALUE_MAX_SIZE” app param set to “64 Within FSM, we can set passwords that match our policy (greater than 10 is allowed) I am looking for guidance on where to update the Customer Portal password requirements. Thank you-Rudy

Hi Everyone, IFS Cloud 23R2We are working towards getting load balancing between 3 middletier servers working for our IFS cloud installation. This works ok for the most part, however we are noticing that timeouts are occurring right around one minute. In the application when this occurs there is no error message; whatever you were doing just stops so it is unclear sometimes that any timeout occurred. Examples:Do a search on a screen that takes longer than a minute to return: Just see “No Results” even though results should have been returned Order a report that takes longer than a minute.  After clicking finish to order the report, the loading icon spins for one minute, and then the buttons became available again as if nothing was pressed and nothing happened. (The ordered report still shows up in the report archive once it is complete however) Reviewing the logs on one of the middle tier servers here are some standouts that seem to indicate the issue:  2024-07-25T15:31:29.033251728Z

How can we ensure that MRP-generated purchase requisitions comply with the existing authorization rules configured in IFS within APP 9? 

In Apps9 there is a Customer Payment screen in Accounts Receivable, but it seems to be missing from IFS Cloud.  Does anyone know what the replacement for that is in IFS Cloud.

Customer would like to only have 1 option when creating New Work from MWO Maintenance app. I and my colleagues have hunted around in Page Designer (1st image) to see where we could do this and the closest we came was trying to set an Enumeration Filter (2nd image), but when I set the value for the desired option (3rd image), I cannot save my selection (4th image). Not even sure if the Enumeration Filter is the right place to accomplish our requirement. Any help?(1) (2) (3) (4)  

I have the supply chain matrix set up for site to site.  Works great until I have site A do an internal purchase direct with a supplier of Site B to CUSTOMER 1.  At the supply site (site B), the order is processed to Site A and utilizes the route and transit times even though the ship to address is to CUSTOMER 1.  The ship via will be the same, (it is going on our own fleet).  Any thoughts on how to not use the supply chain matrix for site when these orders are processed? 

HelloWe’d like to automate creation of new employee in IFS10 Upd14.EE interface allows to create it simplified, but Aurena require to go through assistant (at least i didn’t find any other option). REST API exposes creating new employee using EmployeesHandling projection by posting new CompanyPerson object. However it requires to specify Emp Org Code and Emp Pos Code. Is there any other option to create new employee without any assignment? The case is that org. codes and pos. codes are not harmonized between recruitment and IFS.The only option i found is to create with some fake codes and delete assignment after all.Is there any other option in REST API?Best regards,Wiktor

Hi All,We could send the instant invoice to the other company in same database. The message is  ‘accepted’ in connectivity outbox. Connectivity inbox message is ‘rejected’ with the error as ‘ORA-20111: UserFinance.RECNOTEXIST: Access denied! User IFSAPP is not connected to Company’.IFSAPP is connected to both companies under AC user group. Anybody has come across this error. Appreciates assistance to resolve the issue. Kind regards,Sandy 

How can we get field level help on the pop-up windows in Cloud?

We have SO 1900014 linked to project 50301BU, item no. 17881467.We are trying to remove the part 185X48X25.4MM-125X6 from the BOM and replace it with 185X43X25.4MM-125X6, but we are unable to do so. The system is giving an error (see attached).I believe this error is in place to prevent directly deleting parts in the SO that are linked to a project. However, when we modify the part in the project item information, the same change is not reflected in the SO.As a result, the BOM in the project item info does not match the BOM in the SO, and we have no way of updating the SO. This discrepancy is preventing us from closing the SO due to the incorrect BOM.And getting the attached errorCould someone help with this?

Is there a way to create a communication among technicians who work in a same task but different assignments in IFS MWO? As an example, if I need to send a message or put a comment about my work to the next technician. I can see status of other assignments. But, I’m searching for a method to convey bit detail message.

Hi, I'm new but I hope this question ends up right.We use IFS Cloud and I am looking for a way to track inventories.Logically, I think you should get the info you want from "Count Results", but I miss the ability to use the filters to get a proper search.My company is located in a few cities with a central warehouse in each. And in every city there are remote warehouses. The closest I can search is on City, I can't filter out the remote warehouses or unwanted "Location No", can deselect one but not several.I am therefore looking for a way where we can follow up on how much is inventoried at each "Warehouse" even remote warehouses, but that we can split these up for each warehouse and not bundle everything together.For each Warehouse I want to be able to see - Total number of articles- How many articles are inventoried- And get % in a simple wayI've been looking for info but haven't found what I'm looking for. A chart would be useful to.

Hello Community; I having a client using Automatic Order Processing in Purchasing.  The Process Type is entered on the Purchase Part, however it is not populating onto requisition lines for all suppliers of the part ( manually created reqs for a non-inventory part). Is there a new setting somewhere to “enable for all suppliers” or something?   They are currently on Cloud 21R1.8  Thank you!

I have two questions regarding fonts in reports:Is there any reason for not having font “Arial Unicode MS” available by default in Report Designer or the new tool in Report Studio? Licenses maybe? In Report Studio there seems to be more fonts available than the runtime fonts available. How is that supposed to work in practice including font substitutions?

Our Engineering team is trying to enter technical drawings for parts and then find out where other users can access them in IFS.  For example, where can a Buyer see the drawing to send to a supplier?  Where can the Shop Floor see the drawing for specs etc in production?

In Apps9 we can quickly create object connections between a document revision and multiple objects (for example several Shop Orders). When adding a row in the Objects tab in Document Revision window the Connect Object dialog appears and I can choose an Object type and then search and select multiple rows to connect to the document revision.I can’t find this functionality in Aurena (Cloud), hope someone could help me!

Hi Experts,I am setting up a Self service procurement catalog(SSPC) only by using Hosted supplier catalogs(HSC) as the source of supplier parts registered against this SSPC. As per my observations, ‘Categorization Basis’ defined either in HSC or SSPC has no effect on this scenario when it comes to categorizing these supplier parts in ‘Employee self service portal’. Because in this scenario tab ‘Product Lines’ in SSPC is empty (no value in field ‘Category Assortment Node’).Has someone also had this observation? or have I missed something. Could this be a limitation?Thank you,Roshan

Hi,I created an “email report” rule to rename the pdf associated with the email send in Purchase Order screen.But 2 emails are send ! The standard email and email from the new report rule created. In the documentation, for report rule action : “email report” it is said :“This will not override existing routing e-mail destinations unless you specifically skip the standard job email.”Do you know how “skip the standard job email” ? Thks 

When setting up a default printer for certain documents, how should the application parameter be configured for it to correctly point to a printer? As I understand it, the printer should be configured using ‘printer’ value in the global code table -However where and in what format? Is it looking for the path to the virtual printer port on the server.. the network path? Thanks for your help!
