Hello, I have run into an issue with a hung POR in an Authorized (not closed state). Unfortunately, I was made aware too late and the project and activity have been closed for a long time. At this point, I am unable to cancel the POR, or disconnect the POR from the project. I’m looking for some way to resolve this, but I have found nothing. Hoping someone has seen this before and can provide some  guidance. Thank you!

We have a requirement from customer that should the activity be automatically scheduled or should there be manual scheduling based on activity type. They have the same set of resources hence different datasets is not a choice.Could someone help what could be the solution in this case?

Hello everyone,We have a customer using PSO Standalone (Version 6.16.) who requires that short-term absences are immediately visible in the system. When a resource reports sick and this is entered in PSO under unavailabilities, the absence does not appear in the Gantt chart until after an import (load file). This is problematic for short-notice absences.Is there any way to make absences visible immediately?Thank you!

When a template structure that has been transferred to manufacturing more than once contains a module where a piece part is added and activated at the module level, why is the piece part not included in the CAMRO service contract structure tree? Steps followed:Create two new parts configured as manufacturing parts, engineering parts, and serial-tracked parts. Using the Add Structure Position command, add a structure position to a template structure that has already been transferred to manufacturing (same site) more than once. Add a module in Preliminary state, then add a piece part beneath the module, also in Preliminary state. Activate the module line, which also activates the underlying child part. The transfer to manufacturing for these parts is performed automatically. Verify the CAMRO service contract and observe that the child part is not included in the service contract structure tree.

Why does the Alternate Module not contain the same Position Parts as the Prime Module, given that it was not created as a separate template? Should it not inherit the Position Parts from the Prime Module in this case?

We could be on the wrong track here – but in Apps10 Aurena are looking to capture the string that is sent when multiple records are selected – this is to execute a custom api call to compare against an expected value. Potentially more on that later.Anyhow – looking at the, for example, CUSTOMER_ORDER_LINES_HANDLING_SVC, and putting on the debug console, I can see that this is passed in the variable Selection eg:FUNCTION Get_Price_Source_Info___(   selection_ IN VARCHAR2 )  RETURN Get_Price_Source_Info_Struct_Rec Does anyone know how to capture this Selection parameter  so it can be passed into the Custom API? Thanks as always!

Why does the Shop Order Tracked Structure not display correctly in all situations in the Shop Floor Workbench (Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab) when using the Show commands, sometimes showing “No data” even though all component parts are assigned?  Create a shop order with Order Type = Manufactured for a serial-tracked part.  a. Ensure the serial-tracked part includes component parts that are serial- and/or lot/batch-tracked.  Release the shop order.  Reserve all components.  Navigate to the Shop Order Tracked Structure page and verify that all component parts are assigned.  Navigate to the Shop Floor Workbench.  Open Shop Floor Workbench → Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab.  Execute Show → Assigned Components. 

 I’m attempting to rename a serial part (update the serial number) and am unable to.See screenshot for Fault Message:  “the serial exists in Service Management and cannot be renamed.”Am I missing something.  Are there steps that can be taken to rename this serial?  There is going to be a salesman that returns from site with incorrect object information.  An incorrect serial object will be created for new PM actions.  We will need to be able to Rename the Serial Parts while retaining the history.  I’d be grateful for any help or advice on this.  Thanks in advance,Ed

Hi, According to the IFS documentation, it's possible to rename a part serial linked to a serial object when it's listed as "In Inventory." To enable this, we used the "Move to Inventory" option. A work order was generated, and we completed the return process. The serial object's status was successfully updated.However, despite the part and serial now being in inventory, the rename operation is still failing. The error is “the serial exists in inventory and cannot be renamed” .. Are we missing any step once the serial is returned ??   

Any tips to change the order of the Object Connections?  This is how it’s displayed todayWe would like to get the order that is defined in Default definitions -Documents, Events, Map Positions and Media to improve the usability as intended in standard.Have tried to apply defaults and edit the order of the service list without any luck   (We have the same issue in  24R1 SU12)

We are in the beginning stages of a migration from an AS400 ERP to IFS Cloud. I’m an enterprise software engineer who is new to the IFS world.Our current warehouse shipping process involves a piece of custom software that screen-scrapes from an AS400 terminal session into a Windows application called ClipperShip. This software handles all the carrier specific logic, including printing labels, etc., then another piece of custom software gets the data out of ClipperShip and back into the AS400 ERP.We would like our new solution to be as simple as possible for warehouse employees. Ideally it would be completely web-client based. We have started evaluating some API-based shipping solutions like ProShip and ShipEngine. Our customer has a very real scenario the relates to Activity Planned Start/Finish dates.  These dates are used to schedule the project but often, time needs to be reported to the activity earlier or later than the dates when the activity will occur.  For example, we need to plan a design review on May 12th and 13th, that’s what we want to plan for and what we want the customer (internal and external) to see when the project plan is reviewed.  But these is preliminary and follow-on work that must be done for this activity and costs that need to occur before May 12th or after May 13th.  Is there a way to set the project activity to allow time reporting (and cost, but time is most important) that’s outside of the Early Start/Finish of the project activity?thank you.Patrick

I’m working on a custom C# service allowing my company to use the “Manual Reservations for Customer Order Line” functionality with custom reservation location logic programmatically. Reason being our business analysts have determined the native “Reserve Customer Order Lines” IFS functionality doesn’t work for our business needs as we need to be able to choose the inventory location to reserve from. I’ve been told there are ways in native IFS functionality to somewhat determine how the reservation locations get chosen. But that option doesn’t work for us, either.Currently, my process for reserving customer order lines looks like this:Grab reservation locations from custom PL/SQL logic. This is a sub second operation the majority of the time.  HiWe've managed to retrieve data directly from the document view. If the document is connected to a client, I need data from that client, such as their name. We are trying to configure the ORDRSP inbound message for a Procurement EDI implementation in our IFS Apps9 Update 3 environment. While we’ve reviewed the help documentation and successfully posted a message into the Application Messages table, for a supplier configured to accept order responses, we can’t get the message to actually trigger an Incoming Purchase Order Confirmation.The Application message successfully finds the InboundDistributionTransactions:ConfirmPurchaseOrder BIZ API, and it gets transferred… but nothing happens. Additionally, we can’t seem to setup a routing rule to direct the message into a different queue or anything. It’s almost like the Application Message is just ignoring routing rules and instantly transferring.Some discussions with AI tools suggest that perhaps Inbound EDI is not configured in IFS9U3. Does anyone know if this is true? Has anyone implemented Inbound Order Responses in V9U3 using standard functionality?

We are running 25R1.3 on prem. We have a handful of Custom Events/Event Actions that send REST Post requests to another server. I’d like to route these application messages to a specific message queue, and I am not having any success.  The Event Action is fairly simple, send a POST request to an address like: http://[myserver]/wh/[specific_endpoint] with a json body and a few http headers, no authentication.
