Hi @OWAIS.SARDAR,

I do think this behaviour is to Prevention of Double-Costing on Project Inventory.

When a Purchase Order for 2 Qty is created and directly connected to a Project Activity:

  • PO Receipt into Project Inventory: Receiving the PO into Project Inventory (Project Unique Stock) assigns the financial value of the parts directly to the Project Activity.
  • Issuing 1 Qty to Work Order: When material is issued to a Work Order (WO / Work Task), the cost is registered against the Work Order object. The Work Order system then transfers this actual cost to the Project Navigator under the Work Order cost category.
  • Issuing 1 Qty via General Material Requisition: If stock already resides in Project Inventory for that Activity, issuing it to the same Activity via a General Material Requisition simply consumes the reserved stock. IFS intentionally does not create a new Project Cost on the Material Requisition line to avoid double-counting/double-costing (charging the project once at purchase/receipt and a second time at material issue).

I don’t have any IFS application to test this behaviour.

regards,

Piyal
