Hi Gurus, By mistake we have Turned on the Serial Tracking for a Master Part. The PO was Created for this Part as well (Project Connected). Now users are trying to Disable the Serial Tracking on the Master Part and they get an Error ‘ The Part Exists on a Purchase Order Line ‘.
Is there a way that we could Disable the Serial Tracking for this Part?
We are on IFS Cloud 22R1
this is because you have the ongoing purchase order with this item, maybe you need to cancel the PO firstly, then to see whether you can change the setting. if couldn’t, then means not possible.
→ cancel PO
→ delete Project Demand
→ disable serial tracking at Master Part level
In addition to what Marcel.Ausan recommends you will probably have to count out any existing inventory quantity of the item prior to updating the Serial Tracking option.
The item must not exist in any transaction (planned or ongoing) or in any inventory on the site.
